Another vinyl addict here who only started collecting the wax due to inheritance and later bedroom DJing coz I wanted to caress and interact with it:) I remember back in 2005/6/7 reading various articles saying how vinyl is now finally dead and buried and only digital formats will survive...
Got both tunes on vinyl NnG feat kallaghan right before my eyes was classic on the UK garage scene around late 98 , it was the legend Grant Nelson and released on Heat records NnG was Norris da boss & Grant Nelson He plays here the Grant Nelson Club mix
Love the videos & music! I am 53 years old & have 2 Technics SL-1200MKII turntables & a 4-channel mixer. Spin at home. I have been building up my "ola school Hip Hop & late 80's through the 90's House music 12" vinyl singles. I would like to chat one in one with you about improving my style & mixing skills. I want to be better!!!
@ellaskins do you think these track better than the qberts? Which one you think you like better? I have the qbert oms and was thinking about switching over to the scratch cartridge. Let me know thanks for the videos.. very informative.
@ellaskins thanks for dropping knowledge! Let the young ones know “if you want to turn heads spin vinyl” that’s the truth brotha! Sending you positive vibes from San Jose, CA! ..... ps your video inspired me to purchase @Ortofon Scratch Concords!!!! Peace n Love....Brotha Reese
dude, if you knew you were going to make this video on turntables, cartridges, and needles, why not move the CDJs out of the way so your right turntable wasn't hanging off your drawer top and on a cardboard box. It would have taken you 10 seconds and made your presentation 100% better. Just saying.
Ok so we agree it's Vinyl all the way, one thing we disagree on is your choice of mixer because if your an analogue purest why would you be rocking a pioneer djm with Digital sound processing? if you want the best analogue 4 channel it's gotta be the 600, or the 2 channel 909. That's where analogue mixing ends!
You used the Qs back in the day and now the Scratchs but you are more of a club dj that only mix, why you always choose the hip hop models? Any particular reason?
Although I love the new technology, as a former 1980's DJ I totally approve your last words : Vinyl all the way ! :)
I agree with everything you've mentioned my brother. The vinyl frontier, vinyl is final.
