If there Ìs any universal beautiful a solemn and inspirational and comfortable music in this world, this Ìs one of them My heart Ìs resting and soothed and comforted And My soul heals an Ìs purified
Lovely circle dance on Stella Splendens. I read in several historical explorations that the steps on all songs, which could have been danced on, are not known. In the Llibre Vermell de Montserrat itself it is written people were allowed to dance on these songs as long as it was honourful to the other pelgrims and the convent and in a humble way. As a Medieval interested dance teacher I would love to know the name of the person who made these steps. I see more or less the same steps in performances of other historical dance groups, some also from Russia.
@@jayawilder3835 this puzzles me too. If it's pre-1730 or so, they weren't invented. Men wore the plaid before then, in Scotland. What dance is this? And what era? Music doesn't sound Scottish (though I'm not expert), the 'Scots catch' was present in our music pretty early, by the wire strung harp era of Highland Laddie. Is this earlier than that?
Atentamente
We learned this dance 7 years ago. The teacher said that the dance was restored according to the frescoes of the Montserrat Monastery. Also, according to the photos of the pages of "Llibre Vermell de Montserrat" available on the Internet, you can find a note about dance movements.
Another really nice circle dance this one, very romantic, I must admit. At least the lighting conditions are a lot better, in this one.

Wonderful!
So beautiful I love the mens' kilts.
Why are they wearing kilts?

Unless these are meant to be Scots mercenaries or traders, who travelled many places in the 1500s to 1700s?
