I'm a hot water drinker and some times I sprinkle in some ground ginger. Most days I bring banana skins to a boil this has added benefits of potassium, manganese, copper and magnesium. It contains some vit b6.

I basically write everything I see and have done. The SOAP notes format. Subjective (what the client tells me), Objective (my observations), Action (what I've done), Plan (usually follow up and advice given to client or whatever I need to do such as referral etc). I also take photos if necessary and upload onto their notes x. X
Hello, your footcare videos are very informative and useful to me. I’m a nurse andI will be starting my Footcare course mid May. I’m from Alberta, Canada.
That's great news!! I'm glad my videos are helpful. I'm seeing a lot of nurses embarking on this career change to Foot Care in the UK, is it the same in Canada? x
How do you structure your note taking ? And how to you store your notes . Is there a way you can access them quickly if needed? Or do you get them ready before? I am about to become a foot care practitioner, student.
Hi Wendy 👋 I have a clinical system (no paper notes) so I can access my notes very easily by logging onto my system. I structure my notes taking with the SOAP format -SUBJECTIVE -OBJECTIVE -ACTION -PLAN I have a dedicated tablet for work so login from there. I do have a Foot health practitioner business start-up guide whoch mentioned clinical systems and paper notes. www.notapod.co.uk
Hi Christina, I've received your email. As you're in the states I'm not sure who you can train with, but I know someone there that maybe able to help if I ask them x x
Hiya Jess thank you for this video. Really cool to see your days events. I have a few patients lined up already after i finish my clinical in the middle of June 😯 which is really encouraging. May i ask what system/software you are using to write your patients notes on? I've seen clinico or ovatu, as eveything is going digital i wondered what your using if any yet. X ive got my flights booked so excited for clinical 😁😁. Keep up the fab videos xxx sammy
Yay, flights all booked, it's official 🙌. I use writeupp, I soon realised after I started up it would be better for me to use than paper notes. Cliniko is very popular but I went for the cheaper option lol, but very similar features. Has other perks too when it comes to finance, calculates how much you made monthly, creates invoices, automated text msg system for reminders and confirmation bookings. Most if not all give you a 1 month free trial so definitely take advantage of that and try them all 🤣. Bear in mind if you do go electronic, you have to register with the ICO its about £35-40 a year, and your address will be on their system which is public so may need to get a PO box address or use another address that you dont mind being public x x
Hey 👋 I'm glad you're enjoying ny videos. I'm not too clued up on how things work in the US. Julia Overstreet has a Facebook group for Foot care nurses in the US so maybe that'll be more helpful x
Hey Jess. You’re videos are fab and so insightful for someone looking to start training. When you sign up with SMAE do you have to visit at all or is the first time you go there for your clinical training? Thanks!
