Also get the Audio or Backing track!!
Q: Erik, why would you do this to yourself? A: I dunno, I like Bach
This literally took me over 400 hours to make. And TBH it was so worth it, I had a lot of fun making this even though I started going insane over it.
Ay shout out to Chris Maningas, he helped me shoot all that fancy stuff. He’s gonna go into film and I’m hoping we can do some more collabs.
And mo… yeah he helped by being himself. Haha
I made the mix this time, not my uncle which is why it probably sounds crappier you know? But I gotta start somewhere… and for some reason I chose one of the most difficult pieces to mix as my first mix… I might re-upload this with his mix idk.
    GEAR:
Carvin DC700 (yo hit carvin up this video fam)
    Schecter JL-7
    Coca-cola
    Protools
    Mesa Dual Rec
    Picture of Bach
And I edited in Adobe Premiere Elements (which was a pain in the ass at first, man I gotta get some of that pro software so I can stop wasting so much time in getting the videos to sync up, If anyone knows and good software with BPM tracking hit me up)
Hours: (can’t find rn, will update in a week)

@@RockStarOscarStern634 Just a clarification, it isn't fact that it was a violin concerto, some scholars have said that the writing of the keyboard part apparently seemed to be written in such a way that it seemed designed for violin. I can't see it. That part just before the final statement of the subject in the first movement just sounds wrong on violin considering this was the 1700s, not the 1900s. Just doesn't seem to sound like any other violin work of Bach's.
The history of this piece is an ongoing debate D:

Holy crap. I've been obsessed with Bach for like 35 years. I've always felt several of his works, this one in particular, just absolutely shred, and I've often gravitated towards performances that are relentless and energetic -- not necessarily just fast, but with a kind of energy. It's not just that you're playing it fast or on electric guitars -- your musical choices and orchestration pull out all my favorite parts and just....UGH so good. I found this today on my way home from work and played it repeatedly so loud in my car for half an hour. Honestly, old JS is up there in heaven throwing horns and thrashing his wig to this. I have to believe pieces like this weren't written to be played in a museum -- they're for jamming.

If you listen to music in one generation, it’s just music. If subsequent generations make remakes on it, this is good music. If music can inspire a musician through the ages, this is immortal music. Great Bach is beautiful as an expensive wine and it doesn’t matter if it is poured into a crystal glass or a mug!
    Thank you for the excitement!

Great transcription! My only suggestion would be that you're off tempo at times, most likely because you recorded each one solely with the backing track. I would start with the bass, then record the next up (bass, cello, viola, violin, etc.) So that you add one line at a time to your performance. At the end, go back and re-record anything you need to with all the other instruments present. Just a helpful tip for your future ventures, cus this was amazingly executed, and was definitely hard work! Keep it up!
