@@NICEFINENEWROBOT Are you sure? I’ve heard he composed this piece for inspecting the integrities of organ pipes and he wanted all of the stops pulled out for this one, so it may show he cared more about fundamental pitch than timbre, at least for this piece.
YT has swallowed my answer containing hints and titles. So you need to search for "The Nice" and "Ekseption" albums. Mark: Correct writing is "Ekseption".
I didn't know Elon liked this. I just came here because I had a feeling Toccata and Fugue in D minor sounded metal as fuck. This legend has proven my hypothesis.
AshJesusFollower37 no. It’s because he is not a fruitcake and J.S. Bach made some killer music when he was alive so that this lad should bring it to the next level with instruments Bach did not have at the time!!
Didn't think I'd be going down this rabbit hole of "classical music goes metal" but I am glad I have, because this is so well done it makes me want to colonize some ocean rocks.
I didn't get sent by Elon. I was just showing my son that everything done today has its roots in yesterday, and yesterday's work was rooted in the day before. This was how i decided to nail the point home. He loved it! Amazing playing!
BEAST MODE!!!!! This rocks dude. I spent the last hour or watching different metal versions of this song and yours is the best by far. And that guitar........the neck is like a tree trunk.
I made an undignified squawking noise when I saw this video and have never clicked 'play' faster in my life, because I absolutely adore the Toccata, and my god this does NOT disappoint.
I just found your channel because of like a drum video. wow you are such an inspiration. i wish i could play like you someday. you deserve more subs and views. great work man! Cheers!
My Tesla's alarm system brought me here.. (for those of you who dont know.. when the alarm is triggered its coded to play "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" at full volume... and funnily enough its this video that they used..)
i remember when you first posted this some years ago. i still watch it a few times a year because it is so good. every other cover i see does the part @ 0:51 in a weird legato tapping style, but you play it the way it is supposed to be. and it sounds freaking amazing!
Please. I cannot believe you haven’t uploaded these tracks to apple music. I need your music in my library. Good morning dear ☕️ wake up and smell the audience. Haha😂 love your videos. ❤️
Amazing, Marcin ! Your renditon is marvelous; Bach would be happy with it! Interestingly, I find electrical/metal guitar more appropriate to this transcription than acoustic guitar. Thanks for sharing;
I mean that makes sense, the piece was made for an organ which has tons of different voices that gives it a massive range of different sounds it can produce. Using an electric guitar makes more sense because it's, in most cases, more versatile than an acoustic, you can do just about anything with a electric guitar through the use of pedals while not so much with an acoustic. Also many techniques (like pinch harmonics for example) are typically harder to produce on an acoustic.

Request: itsumo nando demo
Okay, so Bach actually composed the Toccatta and Fugue on his electric guitar, then transposed it for the organ. I never knew that before.
sounds legit
@How To Skin a Rabbit he was composing for steel
I was listening the original version and thought "I'm sure I can find a Metal Version of this" and yup, There it is.
lol same
Same either
lo mismo
Great minds think alike... though mine two years delayed xD
Me too!
Bach in metal style convinces me that some composers, Bach included, would have been huge metal fans if they were alive today.
I suppose Bach was a friend of clean notes though.

It's the best metal version of toccata d minor I've ever heard
Agreed, and I've listened to many. Fuckin' ballin' dude!
Check out classical metal x by Pergamum.
What about The Nice and Exception (1970ies); mostly organ stuff, but with a rocking beat

Elon Musk did not send me here. Wanted to hear some Bach done in metal and I'm not disappointed.
preach
Same brother. Just wanted to hear this monster of a song brought into the 21st century.
Same, was lamenting the lack of a metal version of Oh Fortuna that I could jam too and thought of this song, I didn't even know Elon promoted this xD
Same!
Bach sent me here.
Fugue was especially fantastic. Shows how Baroque Music's melodical value has been passed down to legendary Metal
Ever since I was sixteen I thought this song was the first metal composition. You did an awesome job!!
I didn't know Elon liked this. I just came here because I had a feeling Toccata and Fugue in D minor sounded metal as fuck. This legend has proven my hypothesis.
I looked this up because I have already heard Moonlight Sonata's 3rd Movement on electric guitar and wanted to see if this got the same treatment
I'm here because I was told by rob scallion that necrophage played on an organ was just Bach, and I wanted to see if the inverse was true
You are about to get a jump of views because of Elon Musk. Good thing too because you are amazing!
AshJesusFollower37 no. It’s because he is not a fruitcake and J.S. Bach made some killer music when he was alive so that this lad should bring it to the next level with instruments Bach did not have at the time!!
That is true I only listen to this cause of Elon and Tesla’s car alarm 🚨 so
Well, first and foremost he's getting views because Bach constructed this masterpiece
Now it's my favourite version of that masterpiece
Didn't think I'd be going down this rabbit hole of "classical music goes metal" but I am glad I have, because this is so well done it makes me want to colonize some ocean rocks.
Same
I’m imagining a cotton candy blue lobster in hard rock clothes just jamming out on the guitar
Elon Musk just granted you access to Mars
It sounds so epic that I cannot describe it in words.
Video length is also Bach's birthdate. Wild. Not nearly as wild as this cover. Great job.
Just heard this at my workplace because someone made it their Tesla alarm on FULL BLAST. Absolutely loved it 😂
It's actually the default one!
Amazing electric guitar arrangement of Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor! Nice guitar too! Was subliminally sent here by EL😊N!
00:48 i swear this is the most badass thing I've heard. This is fire 🔥🔥
Hard to choose between that or 01:36
Metal and classical are much closer than people realize. Metal is the new classical!!!!
I think if Bach lived in modern age, he would be power metal
Technical death metal
Also Vivaldi
no, he would be .. classical -_-
Melodic death metal. His closest contemporary would be Brendon Small the creator of metalocalypse.
You should know metal has its roots in classical compositions
That's why classical pieces sound so good as metal
its also used as tesla alarm sound
I'll be honest, and as an expert in music, this was rly well performed(but you already know that, right?) . Congrats!
I knew it, bach os always a metallhead
Elon sent me here
Same.
Same man, he's a man of culture
Same here
Same here
Papa musk lead us to this
Awesome arrangement, production and performance, man! Great job!
You sir are one Hell of an artist to cover one of the greatest pieces of classical music in such a fantastic way thank you made my day
I didn't get sent by Elon. I was just showing my son that everything done today has its roots in yesterday, and yesterday's work was rooted in the day before. This was how i decided to nail the point home. He loved it! Amazing playing!
やはりこのアレンジが最高。天才すぎる。
you're actually my biggest guitar motivation
Wow! Thank you! ;)
BEAST MODE!!!!! This rocks dude. I spent the last hour or watching different metal versions of this song and yours is the best by far. And that guitar........the neck is like a tree trunk.
Bach is truly the grandfather of heavy metal. Toccata had this sinister feel to it.
I made an undignified squawking noise when I saw this video and have never clicked 'play' faster in my life, because I absolutely adore the Toccata, and my god this does NOT disappoint.
you did an excellent job ,your talent is amazing, keep rock'n!!!
Bravo! What a rush. That was powerful.
I rarely ever get goosebumps from how good some music is
Came to youtube looking for exactly what you had produced. You did not disappoint. That song was always meant to be a metal guitar piece.
Holy f*ck dude... you did it amazing! :O
Good job! Keep up that
Thanks!
part of me really wants the tabs to play this to, the other part wants to just embody and appreciate this masterpiece in its entirety

Rock is best music of all time - and this vid proves it.
This rocks!
My Tesla's alarm system brought me here.. (for those of you who dont know.. when the alarm is triggered its coded to play "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" at full volume... and funnily enough its this video that they used..)

every other cover i see does the part @ 0:51 in a weird legato tapping style, but you play it the way it is supposed to be. and it sounds freaking amazing!
Thanks a lot! :)
Fantastic interpretation. Bach would have head banged his wig off in delight.
Awesome
0:50 ~ 1:00 This part was amazing, usually people use tapping with both hands but it sounds boring in my opinion. I liked your approach.
I like how the organ sound can be faintly heard still
this cover is just incredible ! Congratulation !!
