  • The Balsa Basics Spitfire is the Vintage Model Company's first R/C Spitfire model. It's a great all round warbird that suits intermediate flyers. Having a very light wing loading similar to that of a trainer, it can 'float' around making launching and landing a breeze. However, as shown in this short video, the BB Spitfire has a very wide speed envelope.

Nice, slows down a treat for landing. Just a side note, that propeller sounds wrong, is it out of balance?

Its looks awsome! But it sounds like your prop is way out of balance

Beautiful model, only one criticism. It would look more real with a glow engine. Electrics make stupid high pitch noise completely un-realistic on a model like the glorious Spitfire.

Where can we buy that in mainland europe cause my royal mail experience is worse - compared to that of DHL?
Brexit ahead does not make things easier especially if you want to buy for a RC school kid group and you need to buy 10 planes for 20 kids.
Hope you'll have a mainland europe shop cause our rules do no longer allow to purchase from the UK due to unsolved liability issues regardless which product.
Just to let you know that Brexit has already kicked in .,, You need a EU warehouse - sooner or later and even Hobbyking had learned that lesson.
Boris Johnson could laugh about corona virus protection measurements - if he is risking his life but the Brexit he's getting will hurt the UK more.
We are no longer allowed to buy from the UK cause no progress was seen and our funders put the rules in place for a hard brexit: no more purchases from the UK
And: even buying from the Ukraine is a lot easier
