One of the best fishing videos I've ever seen. Usually I skip around through alot of them. I enjoyed every second of this one!! And seeing the process of how you all landed, bled, swam, gutted and cared for the fish was awesome. Wicked Tuna sucks they dont show the good parts and they chop and edit footage in any order. It's a fishing show for non fisherman!! This was truly epic!! Can't wait for the next. You've earned this subscriber.
@@joevtfishing Your very welcome man you deserve it! Cant wait to see what you all did the next day! I loved seeing all the crazy characters you fished with that day. And when you all screwed with the owner of the boat about the charter stickers on his truck that was comedy gold! That's the small stuff that makes a video great. Too many "glory videos" with tons of music and editing. You captured what it's like to live that lifestyle. Glad I found your channel keep up the good work! And you biting chunks out of that damn tuna heart was crazy!!
The tuna heart clip is awesome!!! Me n my buds need to come book a trip w u!!! Brothers from another frkn mother!! We r firefighters, marines, football n rugby players; think it would be an epic trip!!!!
Up at PEI, captains use a hose about 2 feet that has tape and egg sinker weights attached to it and it is rubber band to the rod and when the fish strikes the hose goes down the line to the fishes mouth to prevent chaffing.
You gotta finish with the PAYDAY!! We all love fishing, that's why we're watching....But to get a huge PAYDAY doing something we love is a FANTASY COME TRUE! Not telling us how much $$ it brought was like leaving off the punchline of a good joke....

I usually don't care for all the yapping in the beginning of videos but this was tolerable. Nice to see a genuine tuna fishing trip instead of the stuff they put on TV "reality" shows.
Funny that my idea of that east coast tuna fishery was based completely on watching the WT series. This video opens up alot of info I was unaware of. The TV captains make it sound like all the non fulltime boats are out there just tripping over themselves. Here in the Pacific Northwest we have some big heavy fish like Sturgeon and Halibut but pulling in a big tuna looks to take fighting a fish to a whole new level. Thanks for these videos.
Tyler so so sketchy.... a boat tried to charge it in morning and totaled his boat and almost sank... needless to say we waited another 5 hours to head out
@@joevtfishing wow that's crazy did it end up on the news? And in my personal opinion Oregon inlet is worse then anything we've got in FL no question. Big sportfishers get their ass kicked on a bad day There.

Very very cool to be able to watch first hand the different steps in processing those fish. Nothing like that made for tv show over there🤨. None the less, I’m sure the experience was exhilarating! Y’all just proved you don’t need a 1/2 million $ boat to catch a beast. 🙌🏼🤙🏼
Insane, I didn’t know about that East west-west East part about big vs small regions either. Do you need a commercial license to sell it like that or can anyone ?

I liked it! Just a note or 2, you can't tell a big eye tuna from a yellow fin by looking at anything but the liver. Big eye has a serrated liver, yellow fin don't. I've tasted both and not any real noticeable difference. We have blue fin on the west coast in southern California that you can't even catch on rod and reel because of the depth they are found out. They can sound and you just run out of line. The only reason you can catch the 800lb bluefin over there is the depth they are found in. A 50 or 80W has the line capacity due to catching them in under 500-1,000' of water.
@@joevtfishing Thanks for the reply, not many channels do that- fishing stuff even more so. I've caught what I thought was a big eye many, many times, (eye-fins-colors ect) then the internals don't agree. The proof is eternal. tinyurl.com/y2pr3bko
