This is dramatic for a youtube comment, but I just got to say it. I was terribly depressed for a while and I decided I needed to learn how to do something to keep my mind off everything. I decided on guitar and my sister luckily had an old one she gave me. The thought of trying to learn guitar almost gave me more anxiety because I didn't think it was possible. I found these lessons and I can not tell you how amazingly happy it makes me being able to play these songs. I am by far still such beginner but thanks for the amazing lessons and instilling hope. I look forward to practicing what I know every day. I have calluses!
When I first read your comment after watching the video I related to it so hard. But now it’s been around 5 or so days and I can now play each of the 4 chords separately without much issue, still can’t transition between them without taking forever but it’s progress! So for the other people who relate to this comment, keep at it! It will become easier and will be satisfying when you finally get it
Thanks Andy. your an awesome teacher. I'm a drummer by trade. Played in a band for a few years traveling to gigs and such. Our singer was killed by a drunk driver so our band broke up. Anyway, I have layed down drums and have started to learn guitar to pay a tribute to my friend and lead singer. It is a good one off guide for mastering guitar scales without the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my m8 after many years got excellent results with it.
Excellent Video clip! Forgive me for chiming in, I would love your opinion. Have you researched - Rozardner Stopping Sounds Reality (should be on google have a look)? It is a great one of a kind guide for how to instantly slow down music by software minus the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my friend after a lifetime of fighting got excellent results with it.
Coming back to this vid after about 2 weeks.... here are my thoughts :) I just want everyone to know that this video super helped me in continuing learning the guitar. Also I would like to note that the 4 chords here appear in 90% of the songs that I search and try to learn... no kidding Simple, common, helpful chords That will 100% help beginner guitarists Again, thank you Andy! ALSO, the pain will subside and your tips will be strong after a week or so

This was definitely my favourite day of the 7 so far. Ha! Day 5 & day 6 were genuinely my hardest but I persevered. How else would I learn? It's a great feeling to build confidence along the way. Andy, you're a great teacher!
I've been learning guitar for about a month and a half now. I came across this course around the first week of my journey and when i got to this video I couldn't even properly place my fingers for some of the chords. After coming back to this video about about a month later I was able to fully stum along on my first watchthrough. It's truly amazing to see yourself progress, especially with something as difficult like guitar. Thanks Andy you're helping me so much with this journey

Things are starting to come together. I've probably practiced 1-2 hours for each lesson to this point and things are really coming together and I can switch between chords pretty easily now. It's amazing that I've made this much progress in one week!

bro. takes 15 to watch video get the gyst, then restart it and learn the chords (he gives you new ones every time and pretends you know them) then THIRD PLAY THROUGH TRY TO DO THE SONG at your own slow ass pace. Then spend an hour by your self going over the chord changes with repetition. bam, 2-3 hours per vid haha.
Being able to smoothly play through both of those jams sessions is probably the proudest I have ever been! Thank you Andy for teaching us to play and keeping us confident :)

I have a very hard time with the E minor 7 chord. My ring finger has to move up the fret and I can't get a clear note. Anyone have a tip to combat this? Or is it just practicing and getting more flexible fingers?
hi fellas , what helped me personally with this is that I changed my thumb position. I put my thumb on the second fret (what i mean is that my thumb is located behind the second fret of the top E string). i practiced a lot of course on the em7 chord getting used to the strech as well. hope this helps!
Andy, you come across like an awesome, genuine guy and youre a great teacher. You helped me go from 0 to actually playing music and creating my own music, in less than a couple weeks!!! Crazy, you deserve all the health and wealth.
@@shredkelvin8228 Cannot be more true. When I finally learn the chords, I close my eyes or look away from the guitar and start playing. Keep doing that and then you'll be able to play with your eyes closed, literally.
It doesn't matter...My fingers are also not so long too...but now I am doing well than before.stay practicing.I wish I can do..REMEVER NOTHING IS IMPOSIBLE .

This is great just have to dislocate all my fingers first
... So what you wanna do is: Remove your pinky, glue it to the bottom most string on the third thread and then proced to playing the chords.

Lisa Langley I'll be the same. My fingers are so thick I keep touching strings I shouldn't and it silences that string. I'll have it over time

I enjoy every lesson Andy. Been in these lessons for two weeks now. i have decided to go over and over each lesson until the notes are clean so even if it takes a month or more to get it right then I will keep at it. Thanks again.

wow, i've been following the course for about three weeks and finally felt confident enough to move on to lesson 7. the realisation that i can actually play a bit now and its recognizable s an amazing feeling! i've tried learning the guitar before but never felt the progress i have during this course. and this lesson in particular was just so much fun and confidence boosting. thankyou!
I would like to say a huge thank you Andy. I am on lesson 7 (having never picked up a guitar a week ago!) and at first view of this one I thought there's no way I am getting these new chords! These "7 days" as (you have called them) have taken me more than a month already. Is that natural or am I just too dumb?😂😭
bro. takes 15 to watch video get the gyst, then restart it and learn the chords (he gives you new ones every time and pretends you know them) then THIRD PLAY THROUGH TRY TO DO THE SONG at your own slow ass pace. Then spend an hour by your self going over the chord changes with repetition. bam, 2-3 hours per vid haha.
I took a week and would've taken more than a month if I wasn't in quarantine. Really bored so spending my time on something productive!
And also the callouses takes time to form so some lessons had to be repeated for me

I have a very hard time with the E minor 7 chord. My ring finger has to move up the fret and I can't get a clear note. Anyone have a tip to combat this? Or is it just practicing and getting more flexible fingers?

hi fellas , what helped me personally with this is that I changed my thumb position. I put my thumb on the second fret (what i mean is that my thumb is located behind the second fret of the top E string). i practiced a lot of course on the em7 chord getting used to the strech as well. hope this helps!
Andy, you come across like an awesome, genuine guy and youre a great teacher. You helped me go from 0 to actually playing music and creating my own music, in less than a couple weeks!!! Crazy, you deserve all the health and wealth.

@@shredkelvin8228 Cannot be more true. When I finally learn the chords, I close my eyes or look away from the guitar and start playing. Keep doing that and then you'll be able to play with your eyes closed, literally.
