Mine was delivered yesterday...this video was VERY helpful. 1) I wouldn't have thought to set the generator up on the dolly to work on it. 2) wouldn't have thought to use the 30 amp adapter.... EXCELLENT!!
Glad it helped! Yeah less strain on my back and this plug adapter for the 30amp gives you more plugs for more appliances.
Thanks for doing a video that actually gives us some pertinent information. So many done by other people tell us nothing about a product's potential and overall quality under actual usage. Very well done! I ordered this generator and hope it will run our 1/2 HP well pump. Best to you and we will subscribe.
Glad this was helpful! It's worked out well so far. Thanks again!
I am sure it can handle all 3 Refrigerators & 2 Freezers with NO surge starting watts applied. Using propane on this model you only get 4350 surge and 3500 running watts, then then if using gas. Looks like you have older appliances and their starting watts would be higher then modern appliances. If all the compressors started at the same time your starting watts would likely exceed the 4350 surge starting watts or be close. Even though it is unlikely they will all do this at the same time it is not a good idea to max out any generator, however I appreciate the demonstration video.
Nice Demo. Appears the WEN generator is up to par with others in this class: Champion, Westinghouse
You would need to leave the doors open for the compressors to kick on to check if it would take load
That's a lot of extension cords
This can help with voltage drop. When I connected my laser printer to the same circuit as the computer, the voltage to my computer dropped to 98 volts, but no issues when I plug it into a different leg.
I'm about to purchase one the 5600 watts.
Hey great video and thank you for showing that. Been looking for the same info for awhile.
Thanks! Glad it helped!
Nicely done. Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
I thought the 120/240 switch meant it wouldn't let you use both at the same time but it appeasers you are.
Wow nice generator. Love the propane option!
Thanks! Got it for my parents. The propane option is the main reason I bought this.
@@rvr2 you ever consider solar I have it on some land I got for 800$ I do not live on it cost me 40k I make about 400$ a month from the power company so in 12 years 7.600 profit and after that it 4,800 a year pretty good numbers and if your smart put a charge on the street and charge money to charge tesla :)
Our city zoning department has restrictions on solar panels inside the city limits (because it takes money from them) and charging stations are not allowed for profit here.
oh i never ask i just did it did not even know that was a thing
@Hunt or Die for the panel 25 years with warranty the bat depends on what state heat will tka elife span of bat down low end i say 10 years for bat with good cooling
Thank you for the video. Nicely done
I have a WEN generator. If I use the built-in 120-volt outlets, half of my adaptor gets turned off. No big deal. I just plug low-current draw items into an outlet strip.
Just got mine thank you for great video
Glad I could help!
Great generator!! A+ nice video
Thank you very much!
Now that you have them all pugged in and pre cooled. Open the doors on all of them and see witch one(s) don't get power.
are any of the compressors running on those???
How do you use the 110 outlets when you've selected the 220 outlet? You are using all three I see.
There's a switch for 110 only or 220 which allows you to operate the 110 & 220 receptacles.
how long will it run on that size propane tank?
Don't know exactly but I ran it for 8 hours and still had a good bit of propane still in the tank
The manual states 7 hours on a 20 pound tank at 50% load. Longer with less load, shorter with higher load.
Nice video. How load is it? I'm assuming like a lawn mower or pressure washer? How long and what gauge extension cords? Any idea the wattage of the fridges and the chest freezer?
Thanks! Yeah similar decibel levels but it's not too bad. Used 50' & 100' cables, not sure the guage but I bought them at Lowes & Home Depot so standard extension cords. Not sure of the wattage but the generator provided enough for all my fridges and freezers with no issues.
Hi is that self grounded (to the frame) and if not do you have to do an earth ground?
Yes it is grounded to the frame
@@rvr2 awesome, that makes things easier.
Owners manual says it's an earth ground using the "ground nut" next to main breaker.
Where did you get that plug in adapter?
Amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B091PZPKHH
This adapter been out of stock for awhile… What specs do I look for??
1st off wait til all them compressors kick in at same time 2nd of course it will run when everything is cold not needing a compressor to kick in 3rd I’d want more meat in them fridges and freezers 💯
How do you buy a damaged one, or damaged Amazon items in general? How much of a break did you get on that?
Amazon warehouse. a couple hundred dollars
@@rvr2 it just seems to show me new items
@@rvr2 I guess it says used, but only shows a dozen or so generators. Guess its a hit or miss.
@@TKO-NY if they are damaged in any way they cannot be sold as new. I've bought 3 different generators from the Amazon warehouse and all had cosmetic issues but worked just fine.
@@rvr2 I'd sure like to find one
can you put an auto start on it for a Solar battery bank?
I have no idea.
What are the dimensions from outside wheel to outside wheel?
I have no idea.. I bought this for my parents and no longer have this generator. Maybe the Amazon product page has these dimensions..
It says loud like that ?
It's a generator.. They're all loud.
its probably just the lights
