Argumentum ad populum : Many example of resulting to that/many said so = therefore that thing is correct Example : many who consume this traditional medicine herb ended up healed, therefore this medicine proven effective What really happen : those who consume this medicine traditional medicine due to believing in it ended up heal through the placebo effect So to take this scenario to Sarawak and Sabah, doesn't mean Singapore and Brunei rich because of not being part of Malaysia, so do the case if Sarawak and Sabah too, it must come from other factors like Singapore prosperous because of it effective leadership and strategic location and Brunei prosperous because of it natural gas and effective leadership, so can we sure Sarawak and Sabah could go to the the same cases? 2. Hasty Generalization How the fallacy work : If some of the cases like that, therefore that cases is right. Example : My grandfather smoke cigarettes a lot and live till 90 years old, therefore cigarette must good for your health. The real factor : his grandfather live with low stress level and live in happiness therefore longer his life longevity. To take this to Sarawak and Sabah scenario, If Singapore and Brunei who aren't part of Malaysia is prosperous, therefore If Sarawak and Sabah weren't part of Malaysia, they must be prosperous. Truely this statement is a fallacy for factors of a nation to become prosperous is various and cannot relied with one weak example. I'm as a Sarawakian and as a human being myself, I also do not stated Sarawak and Sabah couldn't become prosperous if they do not leave Malaysia, I just stated there is possibility of this case to be happen. Well Sarawakian here, I seen many Sarawakian and Sabahan have this fallacy so I just want to give an opinion on this,
For some people said
"Singapore left Malaysia and Brunei refuse Malaysia so that's why they are rich, so if Sarawak and Sabah leave Malaysia, Sarawak and Sabah probably be rich too"
Well truly this is a logical fallacy Argumentum ad populum and Hasty generalization where the logic work like this
1. Argumentum ad populum :
Many example of resulting to that/many said so = therefore that thing is correct
Example : many who consume this traditional medicine herb ended up healed, therefore this medicine proven effective
What really happen : those who consume this medicine traditional medicine due to believing in it ended up heal through the placebo effect
So to take this scenario to Sarawak and Sabah, doesn't mean Singapore and Brunei rich because of not being part of Malaysia, so do the case if Sarawak and Sabah too, it must come from other factors like Singapore prosperous because of it effective leadership and strategic location and Brunei prosperous because of it natural gas and effective leadership, so can we sure Sarawak and Sabah could go to the the same cases?
2. Hasty Generalization
How the fallacy work :
If some of the cases like that, therefore that cases is right.
Example :
My grandfather smoke cigarettes a lot and live till 90 years old, therefore cigarette must good for your health.
The real factor : his grandfather live with low stress level and live in happiness therefore longer his life longevity.
To take this to Sarawak and Sabah scenario,
If Singapore and Brunei who aren't part of Malaysia is prosperous, therefore If Sarawak and Sabah weren't part of Malaysia, they must be prosperous.
If any of you want to give an opinion about this please be respectful because commenting with your brain and good attitude is the sign of you are civilised human and not barbaric human being 🙏🏻
Check Sarawak contributions and receive, you talk too much
well not all sabahan n sarawakiam think tht. we know singaporean is so small to make a comparison of what could happen if we did not join.
@@YouSayIT well yeah like I stated, I do not close the possibility of Sarawak and Sabah become prosperous
@@leskirkup singapore prosperity come from strategic location and effective leadership
@@wenceslausmanjan7288 exactly. they actually got a combination of many, proper infrastructure from the british, trained leaders from the get go, strategic location, small area for effective admimistration. it’s not eaxctly apple to apple with sarawak and sabah
We will not let umno win in sabah next PRU again.. This UMNO is the worst thing happened in sabah.
That would be interesting if Sabah and Sarawak push to be basically independent from the western, More power to the indigenous people
Negara Sabah, Negara Sarawak & Negara Singapore
Welcome to Indonesia for Sabah and Sarawak 🧡
Really lucky Singapore got out of this bullshit arrangement.
We need more news to understand Sabah, Sarawak like this. Also, more explanation on the MA63 plan and how various governments in Malaysia have approached it.
Best thing happened to Singapore: Being kicked out of Malaya; otherwise Singapore today would be a second-tier city after Kuala Lumpur, instead of the richest city in Asia.
Best decision of Brunei: Not joining the Federation or it could have ended up just like North Borneo and Sarawak, despite having rich oil resources, but enjoying little benefits from them.
shallow minded thinking, both areas are small and have long period of british intervention..unlike younger sabah and sarawak. not really apple to apple
@williamchen1997
Good and great comment 👍🏻👍👍🏼
Agree absolutely 💯
Brunei is economically struggling, there's lack of jobs, cronies linked to the sultan and his family getting most of the better jobs, no help from the government, salary only 500 dollars per month for 12 hour 6 day jobs, lack of infrastructure and horrible road conditions outside of Bandar Seri Begawan. I wouldn't call that prosperous.

Indonesia tidak akan pernah merebut Sabah dan Serawak.
Tapi Indonesia akan melindungi Sabah dan Serawak dengan kekuatan militer.
Sarawak and Sabah is the example how Mindanao become a independent state. same with Sabahans, Mindanaoans also receives discrimination from other Philippine Islands especially Luzon Island.
if Sarawak/Sabah and Mindanao becomes a independent state in the future we will become Good Neighbors.
Mindanao as Independent state? Good luck with that 😂
malays are not majority in Sabah and Sarawak. thats why there are less toksic there.
Penang need to have a referendum to leave malaysia as well. the malays are majority in malaya, their king are malays, most leader are malay, most law enforcement are malays and yet they are claiming they are being oppresed by non-malays.
They think like the Russians.

LEE KUAN YEW plays a crucial part in persuading leaders of North Borneo to join Malaysia. He did several visits to Sabah. LKY also mentioned that with 100 years of Singapore manufacturing history can help boom Tanah Melayu, Borneo states raw materials demand.
exactly, he was the salesman in this ponzi scheme. in fact in cobbold commission, the commissioner distinctly mention, sabah sarawak only should join formation of malaysia if singapore is in due to the incompatibility of culture and demography of malaya and sabah sarawak.
but instead, he becomes a salesman in formation of malaysia, in return manage to use federation of malaysia to terminate socialist singaporean while get independence from the british, then leave the pyramid scheme for sabah sarawak to be slowly erode away from malaya manipulation

Jika Sabah pisah dengan Semenanjung, kekuatan militer Sabah sangat lemah.
This is why Sabah and Sarawak don't want to leave. They already have that problem. They don't have more problem with people like you 😂

If malaysia goverment is treating sabah and sarawak so badly, why vote for the same gov for 60 years. Why never voice out all the crap, racist and bias policy that certain party been playing with. Whenever 3R comes to play, it always seem quite on that side as they are hoping to benefit from those 3R policy too. Want changes? Vote on gov that willing to take drastic to improve things, not base on 3R.
SG took the bold step to break and turned out fine. Sabah and Sarawak have natural resources. Don't be afraid to break away and be independent. 2 new countries in ASEAN would be great news.
I thought Singapore was expelled. Not that Singapore made the conscious decision to leave. Which version is correct?
