as a fellow arcaea player i believe that this guide is top tier to start playing arcaea bc it can get somewhat confusing for new players to get into, the only thing I can nit-pick is the max difficulty of byd charts being 12 and not 12+. Great guide nevertheless 👍
some note types also have "hidden" mechanics if we can call it that, basically the hold note where you have to tap but you always get shiny pure, and the arc where when you hold an arc note with a finger, it is tied to this arc, meaning that even if the arc ends, and you start an arc of the other color without releasing, you will have a red arc
@@waterdnkit definitely feels like one lol but it is 12.0, the + in difficulties are .7 and above and are only on 7 and above (there is a 7+ but no 6+)
Thank you for the video! Some things that I noticed: 6:20 - Scoring isn't really that complicated. Shiny pures were mentioned earlier already and it's just 10m + 1 score for every shiny pure judgement. (and it's 10 million not 1 million) 13:07 - If we're being technical there's only one breached chapter. Lost Chapter Beyond was the main mechanic for unlocking Beyonds for quite a while and preceeds the concept of breached chapters. 14:20 - All maps used to use the 2 stamina system. Very old maps have been reclassified as "Legacy Maps" and use the 1-6 stamina system to allow people to progress through really old content a little faster.
Awesome guide mate! Probably good to add on that the ticket you get from the tutorial missions can only be redeemed on songs with a difficulty rating (on FUTURE, the purple one) of 9+ and below. any 10s or higher must be bought individually :D
Sorry if I'm disturbing, just wanted to point out, that 10s *can* be redeemed if the 10 difficulty is not Future/Eternal. Meaning that actually, you would be able to purchase Libertas, lastendconductor or dropdead despite them having a difficulty 10 (Einherjar Joker also falls under this criteria, but the Beyond difficulty is inaccessible unless you own Libertas Beyond). However, songs like Twilight Concerto, Distorted Fate or similar, are not accessible, because they have an accessible difficulty 10 or above (Eternal).
Amazing video! One thing though: Hikari Zero DOES NOT give you a hard clear (unless it's used on the Fracture Ray anomaly, which shows a red C upon completing Fracture Ray). It gives a normal clear due to the mechanic working the exact same way as a normal bar, with the exception being the ability to reset the gauge to 0. On itself though, I must say this is extremely accurate! I'm at 10.2 potential and this is a very nice explanation of the game mechanics! Good job!
Thanks for this video,i am trying to introduce a friend to arcaea right now and this video really covers majority of the important things that one should know before playing.
want to add something here... its seems like if you play the Course Mode with warped shard, incase you got like an upscore while playing, the score you get wont be submitted to your account best score.
Yes, because the problem with Warped Shards is that they allow you to play a course of your choice, regardless of whether you have all the songs or not. This is a problem due to some people playing on hacked clients that have all songs unlocked. If a locked song was to be submitted to the leaderboards, it would mean you're very likely playing off such client and Lowiro would likely ban you. Warped Shards, however, make exactly this possible in the courses, meaning that Lowiro has to disable the leaderboard function for Warped Shards. Hope that helped!
2:45 The judgement for arcs change depending on your note speed. The faster your note speed is, the earlier you can finish holding an arc without turning it red.
we got arcaea guide before GTA 6

Just as a minor note, for 4:49, pretty sure that the start of the hold notes don't have judgements either beyond shiny pure and lost
Arcaea got me in a chokehold, and i'm not complaining XD
I do not know if anyone has pointed out, and you may know, but there is one level in the game that is 12 rated, and more to come!
