French words in Vietnamese? (Video in French)

- France's involvement in Vietnam began with missionary activities but escalated into a colonial conquest driven by imperial ambitions. The conquest was gradual, culminating in the establishment of French Indochina in 1887. French rule focused on economic exploitation, sparking resistance movements and leaving a lasting legacy on Vietnamese culture and the complex relationship between the two nations.
In this video, we go over some French loanwords in Vietnamese. The French influence on Vietnamese vocabulary is a reminder of the long and complex history between the two countries. It is a testament to the power of language to shape culture and identity.

L'implication de la France au Vietnam a commencé avec des activités missionnaires, mais s'est transformée en une conquête coloniale motivée par des ambitions impériales. La France cherchait à prendre pied en Asie du Sud-Est et à affaiblir l'influence régionale de la Chine. Sous des prétextes tels que la protection des missionnaires et l'expansion du commerce, la France a envahi le pays en 1858. La conquête a été progressive, culminant avec la création de l'Indochine française en 1887. La domination française s'est concentrée sur l'exploitation économique, suscitant des mouvements de résistance et laissant un héritage durable sur la culture vietnamienne et la relation complexe entre les deux nations.
Dans cette vidéo, nous passons en revue quelques mots d'emprunt français en vietnamien. L'influence française sur le vocabulaire vietnamien rappelle l'histoire longue et complexe entre les deux pays. C'est un témoignage du pouvoir du langage à façonner la culture et l'identité.

en tant que vietnamien, je dirais que presque tous les mots dans cette video sont vrais mais il rest quelques mots dans l'engregistement vocal sont mal prononces ou peut-etre c'etait vrai avant mais on les a change.
as a Vietnamese, i'd say that most of words in the video are pronounced correctly but there's somme words in the recording are pronounced incorrectly or maybe it was right but we had changed the way of pronounce.
j'espere que vous pouvez comprendre ce que je veux dire.

seau- xô, chaine- sên, we dont use much french words nowadays
Quels sont alors les mots d'origine française que vous utiliserez qssew souvent dans le parlé ?
@@Patrick.Khoury on utilise chocolat, crème, essence, gare, radio, fromage, beurre. mais on prononce seulement “xăng” à la place de “ét-xăng” (essence). Et on utilise aussi le mot « crème » (kem) pour exprimer la glace (ice cream).
