Just after Vietnam, I attended a dance in Portsmouth, NH. I felt out-of-place although everyone was about my same age. I was about to leave when a girl asked me to dance. Then she told me where to sit, when to get a drink, and when to eat. She's still bossing me around. We've been married for decades and she's watching TV with our grandchildren now. Lake Winnipesaukee was pronounced incorrectly by automated voice -- it is Winnah Pah Sockee. What makes the trains in North Conway important is that the Cog climbs Mount Washington in an interesting ride.
While you're in New Hampshire, find yourself a nice meteorite from the moon. They're easy to find! Lots of fun looking for a nice one, just like seashells.

Mostly correct but there is so much more to NH then those. The Kanc for sure should be a stop. Mt Washington has a tram to take you up. You don't have to drive to the top if you don't want to.
We are going back to New Hampshire in two weeks with my two-year-old. We are primarily staying in the Portsmouth area, but we do have a vehicle so we can cruise around. Any recommendations on where to go? I have not been back in probably 10 years.
