Sailor converters do tend to have little to no lubrication, it did seize on me from new after just one fill, and some metal dust in its package somehow. it can be decently reliable converter by finding a silicone grease for the piston, and they disassemble easy.
After 2 years of enjoyable writing with a Sailor Lecoule, I recently purchased a lilac Sailor Profit Jr, and I'm enjoying it as well. Great for Bullet Journaling. I've had to add silicone grease to both converters. Thanks for your review!
@@othrs Google says the nibs are friction fit, so you could swap out the nibs. I experimented and was able to screw the entire Profit Jr grip section with nib and feed into the Lecoule barrel. They're basically the same pen with one being torpedo-shaped and the other having flat ends.
A very simple pen (like the previous Lecoule model) - the thread creaks, nib is attached in a groove (not a feeder) - so it starts to dangle over time. The initial Pilot's pen (which everyone knows) writes better and the Pilot's cartridge has a more thoughtful design (all pros refill with a syringe). So instead I advise you to choose a Pilot - such as Cocoon, Explorer (and always of Japanese origin - and not French and Chinese).

@@othrs Yes, my Sailor Lecoule and Sailor Profit Jr both have medium fine steel nibs.

Another thorough, informative review! Nice job, Mick.
Can you review the Sailor lecoule, it's a cheaper version of Pro gear
Very nice review! Happy Easter 🐣🐰

Yes, I prefer sailor cartridge over their converter.
Agree, the converter is so small
Helpful, thanks!
