  • The Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Portal, on the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet website, is designed to support those working and studying in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander SEWB and mental health sector by making workforce information and culturally appropriate resources easily accessible.
This video provides a short overview of the Portal, including an easy-to-follow demonstration on how to find information and resources easily, and features tips on how to refine searches and filter content.
The Portal contains a curated selection of ‘spotlighted’ documents and key facts about SEWB, specific to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities. This includes resources to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people stay strong by connecting to Country, culture, community and spirituality.
There are also eight subtopics to help users refine their search for content - they include:
    • staying strong
    • Country, culture and spirituality
    • family, kinship and community
    • grief, loss and trauma
    • anxiety and depression
    • psychosis
    • substance use
    • self-harm and suicide.
Further down the Portal, users can find publications, polices, resources, programs, and organisations, as well as workforce information including courses, events, funding opportunities and job vacancies, all relating to SEWB among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The SEWB Portal is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care.
