*TIP FOR SOFTENING BUTTER IN A HURRY.PUT YOUR STICKS OF BUTTER IN A ZIPLOCK BAG AND BUT THE BAG IN A BOWL OF HOT WATER.I'M A BAKER AND RUN MY OWN FUDGE BUSINESS ❤LOVE YALLS CHANNEL AND HAVE BEEN SUBSCRIBED FOR A FEW YEARS NOW ❤
Tip: Rolling the sugar cookie dough between 2 sheets of parchment paper works better. Then you don’t have to use flour which can change the taste & texture of the cookies when baked if too much extra flour has been added.
I make professional sugar cookies with perfect piping (that's my perfectionist traits coming out). I wouldn't suggest icing sugar. If you omit a tablespoon (based on how many batches you are doing) of flour to use when rolling out the dough. If you want your cookies to stay in shape put them back into the fridge for the butter to firm up before baking. An idea for your kids if you have any is to cover each cookie with a very thin layer of fondant. You can make up edible paint by using food colouring and lemon extract or vodka. This is suitable for any age and any artistic ability. 😊
Learned something new from a professional baker today….when rolling out cookies, use powdered sugar instead of flour. Have a little bit of the powdered sugar to dip the cutters into before cutting and they will not stick! Jared and Shelley, you are correct, the nicer, soft cookies are not tan around the edges. If they are tan, they will be crispy. Aubrey, you do not spray the pan. There is so much butter in the batter to keep it from sticking. If you over bake them, they may stick. Y’all are doing GREAT!!! What a fun thing to do!!! May you be blessed for your giving spirit❤❤
LOL - you can tell Addison is feeling better! But I am glad to see it, hopefully no one else will come down with whatever she had. When I was a kid, pigs in a blanket was a sausage link wrapped in a pancake. This video is so cute, I love how much you all enjoyed bringing joy to someone else - and don't want credit.
Hey Crazy Middles! Thanks for another great vlog! To softener butter fast: Using a microwaveable bowl (not too big) add hot water, then microwave for a minute or so. Put the butter on a plate. When the bowl of water is hot, empty it and flip it over top of the plate of butter. It will soften it up quickly. Keep up the awesome work!!
Addison, I would love to be spoiled and be taken care of when sick. You have a great family, don't take them for granted . Happy to hear you feel better 🤗 Love you guys!!!
And this is my sign to start making Christmas goodies. I haven't made them in 8 years. (Christmas has been the toughest time of the year )But I'm taking a page out of your positivity book and giving it a shot. Thanks for being such a bright light in the world.
Soften butter: stand butter stick up in wrapper in the microwave. Microwave 10 seconds. Then flip butter stick over to stand on the other side. Microwave 10 seconds. Super easy soft butter!
Shelley I'm 54 years old and have been eating raw cookie dough and cake batter since I was old enough to eat real food. People are just to sensitive these days and to dramatic about everything. It's absolutely fine to eat it. I just made sugar cookies this afternoon and ate the dough as I was making them.
Hi Aubrey! To make parchment more manageable scrunch it up into a ball then straighten it out and you can then get it to stay put on the tray, line a cake pan, and even place it in the top of a saucepan as a temporary lid. Remember, scrunch before using! Always works! ❤
I just love your family. The excitement on your kids faces in everything you do. The love for each other just melts my heart. I love how you teach your kids the fun things not just teach your kids that money and trips and gifts all the time is the happiness in life. The other family does that. The camping trip like normal familys do is what made those kids so happy. You are such wonderful parents and I enjoy watching everyone of your videos. Shelly, you just beam with beauty. Thank you from Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
For sugar cookies instead of flour use powdered sugar. And if you still don’t want a mess than roll out between two pieces of parchment paper and do the cut outs. Then once the cut outs are done then slowly take off the cookie dough from around the cut outs.
Aubrey is correct, parchment paper is indeed parched paper. It needs to be dampened to help it work best. I think this is such a great thing to do as a family. Love your videos.
I love your videos! Thank you for sharing your videos and crazy pieces makes me not miss my mom as much! I lost both of my parents to cancer and my brother lives about 4 hours away with his wife and soon to be baby girl! Thank you for making the holidays a little bit brighter!
It's actually not the raw eggs that hurt your stomach in dough, it's the raw flour! Flour is only safe to consume if it's cooked and heated up to a certain point. Really love this Tradition you do! ❤
My compliments on all the efforts you make for the lead up to Christmas both for your viewers as for yourselves. The most endearing action for me in this vlog, was Cody styling Braxton's hair. I noticed that his voice is deeper and he is getting taller too. All in all, he is becoming a handsome young man. But the jingling with home made cookies was the highlight. Thank you for sweet kindness.
You can make your own brown sugar. You take 1 cup of sugar and add 2 tablespoons of molasses. Mix in your kitchen aid until blended. You can multiply the recipe for each cup needed. To keep it soft in a container, add a large marshmallow. Good luck with your baking! 🎄❤️💚
21:06 professional baker here, a bit of butter on the corners will make the paper stick to the tray, and 24:40 they sell these things called rolling pin guides, it helps making your dough even at the exact thickness
Yes, you can buy special rolling pins that come with a set of different sized discs. You slip one on each end of the pin according to the thickness the dough you want. I think Wilton? make them.
@ yes! And there’s also these sticks(? I don’t know what else to call them) that come in pairs, so you place them on the table, one on each side, put your dough in between them and roll as usual, they also come in different thicknesses
Hello the family ! I am a French pastry chef and you can put the butter in the microwave but not on heat option. If you have the defrost option you can put it on defrost 10 seconds by 10 seconds like 3 or 4 times only and your butter will be soft. Please try 😊
What a fun family activity. Aubrey, you can wet the parchment paper, just as you did. It works best if you wad it up like loosely, Smart of you to try it when you didn't really know you could do that. :) Love y'alls video's!
Lovely seeing the family making cookies for three of the neighbours again. I am sure the neighbours appreciated them. I myself prefer hard crunchy cookies. Good to see you are feeling better Addison. Blessings.
Funny story. My nephew moved out. One night he asked my sister where she bought the clips she used in the kitchen. She laughed and told him in the office supply area. He had no idea. Binder clips work great in the kitchen. 😂😅
Love this idea of spreading cheer and positive holiday vibes. But please put the hair up and back. Happy Addison is feeling better and that Braxton is involved and smiling. Love you guys!
I love this tradition! I got a new oven and pans for Christmas, and got them early. My son and I will be making cookies and brownies for the office ladies at his school. I'm horrible at baking. I can cook amazingly because I went to culinary school, but I can't bake if my life depends on it! So I relate to Addie 😂 Loving your Christmas vlogs ❤
I love making homemade cookies, I am called the cookie lady at my yacht club every Friday night. Everyone's favorite cookie of mine are dried cranberries, pecans and white chocolate chips. They are both sweet and tart! 😊😋🤤❤️ Happy Holidays to each and every single one of you. Each one of the kids are so beautiful inside and out in their own unique individual ways. Much love to you all! Merry Christmas! ❤️💚❄️☃️✝️🎄🎁🤶🎅🕯️🍪🥛🔔🛷🦌
Baking tip for when you roll out cookie dough on the counter. Dampen your counter with water ( mist it) and then lay parchment paper down or plastic wrap. It will still to the counter creating a covered surface for you to roll out your dough and no mess to clean up.
Tray bakes are good and easy. If you pat out your cookie dough into a baking pan you can cook the dough as one whole piece then cut into squares. It’s time efficient too! I just make sure that I score the dough ( making the marking of the squares without cutting all the way through)before I bake it. It makes cutting so much easy afterwards.
I love this! Next year you should include the ingredients thats in the cookies, as some one who lives with a nut allergy I would be so happy to resave cookies but wouldn't be able to eat them because I wouldn't know whats inside of them! 💗
Our microwave has a soften or melt butter setting (and other things like ice cream, cream cheese, etc.). Che k your microwave buttons and see if yours does. It works well! Love that you are spreading joy and cheer to your neighbors. Wish we had neighbors to do this too! One of the draw backs is living in a rural (kinda remote) area.
My husband and I did the cookie thing with a couple of friends last year. But we won't be doing it this year . My husband and I tripped each other trying to run away. My husband broke his ankle and I got a swollen knee. We got caught.😂
Put cookie dough in the mini muffin pan and when you take them out push a mini Reese cup in the muffin and let cool until shine on chocolate is gone. Best cookies ever 😊 according to my husband. 🎅
Also, I got a notification reddit about one of my RUclips comments and I was so sad and discouraged after I read all of the horrible things posted about you all. You bring so much joy to each day. Hope you don't let the negative get to you. ❤❤❤❤
Hello crazy Middle's you are amazing people are I love your videos especially during the holidays when I am alone your videos make me feel better thank you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wish I could come bake with you, that would be so much fun. Addie, I have a thought of what might help. If the time says 14-17 minutes like the sugar cookies- put the pan in for 6 minutes, spin the pan 180, do another 6 minutes, then watch very closely. Check every minute for those last couple minutes. Whatever the time is, just shorten it by a couple minutes, spin halfway, and check every minute for those last couple minutes. You are absolutely right, cookies are hard. And it’s really going to depend on personal preference, because you can’t stick a toothpick in them like cakes and brownies. The bottom of the cookie browns first, so you can always check that using a spatula. Once the tops are brown, I think they will burn if you leave them any longer. Hope this helps!

I love seeing Cody with his younger siblings. Styling Braxtons hair is such a " big brother" thing to do!😊
We use powder sugar for rolling

Tip for the butter- grate it like you do block cheese. It’s a hack I use every time I forget to get it out of the fridge.
Great hack
I always microwave my butter when I make cookies and I've never had a problem with the cookies!
LOL - you can tell Addison is feeling better! But I am glad to see it, hopefully no one else will come down with whatever she had.

Aubrey was correct. Wetting the parchment makes it fit the pan.
Loved watching the kiddos bake cookies.

Braxton is such a sweetheart and cutie. All the kids are. ❤Merry Christmas ❤
Such a sweet thing to do!🎄 Also, that moment with Braxton and Cody was so sweet!!❤️
Soften butter: stand butter stick up in wrapper in the microwave. Microwave 10 seconds. Then flip butter stick over to stand on the other side. Microwave 10 seconds. Super easy soft butter!

I use binder clips for food too Jared! They work great!

I love the No thank servings. Such a good Idea
We always had a no thank you serving growing up.😊
I am 60 and my parent had the no thank serving when I was young, I also did it with my kids
Fast icing: Powder sugar and milk...add food coloring if you want color 😊
Question, will the texture turn into icing? Like basically add milk to consistency?
No icing on the cookies? Best part. Glad to see Addison feels better.

Good tip, but if they didn’t have brown sugar, I doubt they had molasses
Microwave the butter ~ put in and microwave for 6 seconds, roll to next side and microwave 6 more seconds, continue until soft ~ works perfectly!
I love how you did Rock, Paper, Scissors with the backs turned: so smart!

You can grate butter when you need it softened.
Aubrey, an easier way to get parchment paper to lay flush on a cookie tray is to get the top portion of the tray slightly wet vs. the parchment paper.
Funny story. My nephew moved out. One night he asked my sister where she bought the clips she used in the kitchen. She laughed and told him in the office supply area. He had no idea. Binder clips work great in the kitchen. 😂😅

41:58 aaww lol on the 1st house, Kason just ran still holding the paper (that goes on the door)
Jared and Shelly you both look fantastic ! Happy Holidays to you and family !🎄
Hi Crazy Middles!
Merry Christmas to you all!!!
Much love and blessings
Addison I hope you feel better soon
Bexley is so adorable
Love watching your family make cookies. It’s fun times with the Wallace’s
Love this idea of spreading cheer and positive holiday vibes. But please put the hair up and back. Happy Addison is feeling better and that Braxton is involved and smiling. Love you guys!

I am SO pumped you’re feeding a more pure food for your kiddos! 💯💯
For cookies that you chill before baking, you can use chilled butter. It will just cut the chill time down.
My day is incomplete without watching your video 😅 Love y'all Crazy Middles from Philippines 🇵🇭

Love Christmas story time with the crazy middles family I love you all❤❤❤❤
Tip for spreading cookies: Stick the dough in the fridge for a little bit and that will eliminate the problem of it spreading out too much
These are my favorite videos you guys make. I'm so excited!!! 💚❤️
Cream cheese frosting is easy to make you just need butter and powdered sugar and vanilla and milk and mix it together and that's nice of you guys

You can use light oil for the paper to stay down
Love this, so fun. Not sure I would eat cookies if I didn't know where they came from though.
My microwave has a soften button! If you had some sugar sprinkles you could decorate sugar cookies that’s what we always used!
Hi guys❤cookies look great😊especially the choc chip ones🍪
Crumple the parchment paper into a ball then spread it back out onto the cookie sheet. 👍👍
We use binder clips in our house too!! They are cheaper that bag clips and work much better!
Best Family Ever ❤❤❤

Almost an hour of footage. You guys rock!!!
can't stop laughing at aubrey in the back at 13:04 😂 sibling love at its finest hahaha
You are such sweet neighbors. Why didn’t you frost the cookies? That’s the fun part! I’m sure your neighbors are grateful.
Probably to save time.
Such a beautiful neighborhood ❤ I live in Amish country, so we dont see many Christmas lights unless we drive into town 😅💕
I agree! you would be a perfect Vanellope!
Aubry is actually right and I actually just saw that on a RUclips video where somebody did that with the parchment paper takes keep it on the tray. It’s actually a thing.
Cooking spray works good too. 👩🍳
Jamie Oliver dose it
Sugar cookies should be 1/4 in ch thick when cut out. We frost them too. I have been baking for 53 years. 😊
Take cooks off trays continue baking on the hot trays. Just saying.
Please remember when you're cooking/baking for other people to put your hair up. The girls touch their hair more than they realize. I love that y'all take the time to bake them cookie.
Stick the butter in the microwave for a few seconds 👍🏻❤️
Try press n seal works better than cling wrap ❤
in every video, even at the store someone keeps squeaking their shoes and its driving me crazy 😂
I've ate cookie dough all my life and never have had any ill effects from it and I'm 77 years old. All those cookies make me hungry for Christmas cookies.
My microwave has a butter soften setting. Works like a charm.
In the uk, pigs in a blanket are sausages (usually small) wrapped in bacon. So good.
I completely melt my butter in a pan. Cookies turn out perfect.
Chicken noodle soup is my Christmas Day staple starter I love it so much but only make it at Christmas, though I buy tinned stuff throughout the year
You know you are not Bexley's Bio Grandparents, but when I see her, especially her Smile, I see you and Jared!!! She is one lucky granddaughter!!!
Blood doesn't make a family. They are her grandparents flat out.
