    But what of the Latécoere 631? That thing's hilarious. It's like a flying ship, with a massive bridge and a flagpole on her bow!
    I've really been liking some of the recent local legend stuff. The quality's been going way up. The AN-2's a banger, too.

    Angel, the Area paint is an Ecuadorean airliner from back in time. You should try to fly from SEGU (Guayaquil) to either SECU (Cuenca) or the Capital (Quito) those are challenging flights over the Andes!!! Lots of fun and challenging. Thanks. I enjoy your videos.

    I know this was just a first look so thanks for doing the video. However, you forgot a couple of things. The engines are coded to spin up on the starters BEFORE you throw the mags. 15 blades just like a B17. Fun to watch. Shame you missed it. If you know the B17 you should really know this. The reason for engine cuts is misuse or no use of fuel pumps at the appropriate times. The area around the windscreen is bland because it is bland in the real machine. By the way the one in the Smithsonian does fly. It is the second rebuild after the ditching in the river. It is now decommissioned however. Flight modeling is based on pre-1940 version before the TWA ships and their superchargers came along so don't expect late B17 performance and handling, you won't get it. Finally, apart from the Area scheme which is real, we are restricted by licensing issues to what liveries can be carried in the Marketplace. A significant upgrade is currently in the workshop and will be out soon and we are doing some free RW liveries.

    I like that there's a sign directly in front of the pilot's view that says "no acrobatic maneuvers, including spins, approved." Like how many pilots were trying to do aileron rolls and loops in that plane before they had to post a sign?
    But looking at the price I wouldn't expect it to be study level. I guess it's best to get it now while it's on sale.

    The mens lavatory is up front. No, really. 😉
    I've been enjoying this plane, it's one of my favorite real world aircraft, but I agree it doesn't sound very nice on the inside. The outside is great! Not sure what went wrong here like the Trimotor when their DC-3 is so perfect in this regard. I hope they're able to come back and give it some polish.
    Also, I've never had my engines cut out like that. 🤔

    • @ChizAfterHours
      @ChizAfterHours Год назад +2

      I was a bit surprised with the Tri-Motor and B307 sounds from inside. Like you said, the DC3 is phenomenal. I flew in a DC3 last month and got to spend a few minutes chatting with the pilots in flight while getting a video. Came home and replicated the power settings in the sim and the sound is almost identical. Fingers crossed they might have an update for sound for the Tri-Motor and Stratoliner one day.

    • @GamingPenguin4545

      IIRC the devs for the DC3 broke a couple of microsoft's rules regarding sounds on official co-operations and got in a little bit of trouble

    Engines start way too fast. Seems like it instantly gets to speed. 😊

  • @GumperVanLier
    @GumperVanLier Год назад

    I think you had engine problems because you didn't start the engines properly. After prime and start is engaged, you must count roughly to five and then turn on magnetos - one at a time. This plane is a beauty but buggy and needs an update. Sounds are not the greatest. You can switch to Garmin 540/430, which you didn't show, but then you lose your gauges. Despite this. ILS approach works and it has WTT (Working Title Technology built in! This allows for approach to be activated automatically and navigation to switch from NAV to VLOC automatically. This should not be in this old plane. But if you have 530/430 on, you have no gauge to observe the glidescope. I have the GTN 750 premium, so I get it there. More work needed on this plane.

      Not even one, because this one didn't fly that high compared to Comet or any modern airliner. Usually fly at around 16000ft with cabin altitude at 8000ft. Max. 20000ft with cabin altitude at 12000ft. The comet was flying above FL300 while keeping the cabin altitude below 10000ft, much" higher than this one means much higher pressure applied which was then became a problem with the square window design.

    I’m sorry but you are very wrong, is not an Colombian livery (airline) if you notice, you can read the word Ecuatorianas, Quito, and you can see the Ecuadorian Flag 🇪🇨 in the tail, this means that is from ECUADOR. Aerovías Ecuatorianas was a defunct airline that operated from 1951 to 1969 in ECUADOR (not in Colombia)

    Another disappointing aircraft dumped on us by Asobo. This team does incredible things but then they go and spoil it all be giving us odd-ball aircraft - we deserve better. Asobo really needs to get real and provide us with decent stuff. I feel at times that the team do not care what we end-users think or want. I know that sounds unfair but really - I have lost confidence in Asobo after seeing so much third rate items come down the pipeline. Why good developers are producing third rate items is beyond me: Asobo should be a control point and knock back anything that doesn't meet a high standard.
