An amateur friend of mine bought a "Xiegu G90 SDR HF Transceiver" from Banggood. It arrived in a condition where the internals were dislodged and the battery was ripped from the board. The radio was from Banggood and ordered from China. He didn't get any help so had to repair it himself! .... Just saying.
I've seen one of the biggest problems is display dies out after a few days or it's just plain DOA.Also the overloading was pretty bad too. Those are just from some reviews I've seen. One thing that is a no-go for me with this radio is no memory. And wish the tuning dial had the "clicks" to it.But for the price and what it does do is pretty amazing.

I am sure this is an amazing radio, but I would not have it. Even for the cheap price. Why? 0.5 tuning rate as the slowest rate is inadequate, it should tune in 10 hertz increments. The screen is so small I can't see it. WHEN is some company going to produce a BIG base-station sized receiver with large displays? I don't care if the big box is mostly empty... I need big displays. The controls should also be better. So, as nice as the radio is, I'll pass.
Hi Alek. You prob want this radio. I have the SR8 version and a great radio with very big display www.alinco.com/Products/rcv/DX-R8/
Sorry mate, just returned one to Amazon. Absolutely garbage. Very low build quality, worse reception ever. Even a 20 quid portable blows it away. Face plate all dinged up, display scratched. Very rough amateur build. My radio nothing like you are reviewing here.
Sorry to hear that. Maybe these are being cloned. The ATS 25 is a step up.
