For scrapping, you are spoiled in Calgary. Maybe a new video series as well? Scrapping across the nation. Re the wire - you have a stripmeister - run it through, it will cut one of the inner wires at the same time. One pass = two bare bright.
After your second, "better than you found it" I jokingly did a jazz hands and, "Yeah!" just exactly the same times as you did... My laugh for the day was amazing--thanks!
Those Texas Instruments Command Modules are for the TI-99/4A vintage computer. There is a thriving vintage computer community, maybe you could find a local buyer to sell the whole lot and save shipping.
Another great video Thub. My favorite part is the processing, it's something I find enjoyable to do myself. I'd sure like to see the truck back in operation
That’s Top Notch Snow Scrapping Right There @thubprint Great Haul Sir 🙏🏼💪🏼👍🏼 Sweet Wire Finds in the Dumpsters Man. I Love how you went Out on Vaca 💪🏼🛠️🗑️ Trash = Treasure. DUMPSTER BATMAN 🦇👀 !!!
I find your videos refreshing even if its not a big "adventure. Also want to comment that you are the only scrapper that I have seen that gets cans and bottles so you live in a decent state that recycles wish all states would start .
Thub, you were in Montreal! wow I am down the street in Ottawa. Hope you had a nice trip east, Spiderman knees. ;). And that first blue dumpster, with all that wire, happy you found that. Never happens in Ottawa. Everything is locked up tight here.
Love you doing the thing, you should think about doing the cuts accross the brass, thats what i do and all the copper comes easy out 95% of the times, so you ger clean brass and clean copper
Great run, you have a friendly demeanour which which puts people at ease, the point of asking before you dive is valet, but what do you do if nobody answers the door. Personally I don't mind seeing anyone making a living dumpster diving so long as the leave it better than.....
Bro you are balsy. I’d definitely jump into a roll off If it was parked on the curb. But In person driveway on their property ?lol I don’t think I’d be down for that. But might give it a try one of these days lol
This is going to be an awesome restoration, Chris. The light bulb inside may possibly be used as a current limiting device? Also, when discharging capacitors it is good practice to keep your other hand in your pocket. Saves you completing a circuit and smacking yourself in the face, or possibly something worse.😊 Cannot wait for the next episode. Cheers NN.
Well, I haven’t said much even though I am still watching, but my 4Runner was involved in an accident a few weeks back and was totaled. Not my fault, luckily, and the other guy’s insurance is going to pay out (hopefully soon!) but I have been out of the game since then and I am going crazy! Luckily my buddy who let me borrow his S-10 a couple years back is going to sell it to me for cheap, so I will have a scrap truck (an open bed will be sooo much better than an SUV) that is already… not trashed, but let’s say I won’t have to worry about it if it gets dinged up a little as it already has some “love” to it. But I have been going stir-crazy, not to mention not making any money. Ad thing is that I keep seeing stuff I would pick up, including a passel of brake rotors nearby! I just hope they are still there when I finally get the truck. My plan is to go “HAM” on some scrapping and save for a car I can drive that looks decent and gets good gas mileage. Cross your fingers for me!!! Oh, and as always, great video! Thanks for helping me want to keep doing the thing. Take care, Drake!
Love your videos, I have been following you over a year now... You even encouraged me to save up my own scrap from work and turn it in the scrap yard, it was a fun experience. Thanks for taking the time to make those videos. Are you a full time scrapper?
Thanks for sharing your experiences with us all. I'm curious, have you done a video in the past explaining how you got into scrapping? If not, I'd love e to see that video. It would be awesome to learn more about you. Thanks from a former Calgarian 👍
Been watching for a while and love the fact that you can make a little money and leave the environment better than you found it! Quick question that may have been asked before. Do you have any friends that are contractors, plumbers etc that might be interested in some of the select scrap? I am a handyman and I would give 2 to 3 times the amount you might get for the pipe, fixtures, electrical etc. Might not be worth the hassle? Thanks again for everything.
Great video just wondering do you separate your brass the water meter shell is red brass its worth more than regular yellow at least in my neck of the woods
Bon travail, chef 😃.
@@thubprint Just testing the waters, lol. My French is pretty rusty, I just noticed 2 errors in that sentence. I'm from Michigan, I've always wanted to drive through Detroit, into Canada and along the St. Lawrence River all the way to Montreal. One of these days for sure.
Okay, I just subbed. Can you do a video that helps identify those poor man’s precious metals? I’ve been collecting copper, aluminum, and brass. Picking up refrigerators, washer and dryers. Anything. I’m glad my wife hasn’t asked me to stop. I guess cause I break down and pass the metal onto some older man.
You gotta learn to use the dumpster to your advantage! I get long pipes like that in small spaces by bending them using the dumpster for leverage. They are tougher than pipes that size. 😃
Keep the nails, that stuff is going to disappear and if can find very will be expense. When will your pick up (truck) be fixed ? Fun watching and educational. Your good @ stuffing your 🚘
So I have a question.are cans really worth more to you than steel? I stockpile everything I can and I’m trying to cut back on some of the things. I have a bunch of small gauge wire and painted steel along with aluminum but i haven’t really tried keeping cans for anything. Anything helps
hello my friend .. I would like to ask you about the laws related to establishing a electric motors and radiator recycling busines in Ontario, and are there strict laws related to buying and selling from scrap yards?
It's unbelievable how all the wire is dumped where you are! I've just started collecting any copper wire and copper pipe i see when going places, all the appliances I see have the cable already cut off and actual cable wire non existent really unless you're a proper skip diver! So many collecting scrap around London nowadays.
The best part is the hunt for treasure and being your own boss
Great day for scraping
*scrapping
I absolutely love rolling up on a Dumpster and finding a good score.
I gotta say Thub, your vlogs are one of the reasons that I look forward to Fridays. Awesome videos thanks man. 👆
You’re a gem, thank you!

I have one of those machines myself, if you don't find another buyer I'd be interested.
I had one they were a nice stainless steel cover on them
Montreal is beautiful!
Doesn't look like there are alot of committed scrappers in that area. You found some good stuff.
I always get scared for you when you go in. Good job. 👏👏👏❤️💙
nice load on the coper
Thank you for the video, there is something relaxing about seeing all that scrap metal not going to waste.
Mr Thub, a good strong magnet would help you, especially when existing the dumpster!!!!!!!
Thank you for the update.
Batman stayed in the dumpster?! Should have sent up his bat signal!
21:30 ATB music! That's so good!
Always look forward to seeing a video!
Great video
The bucket of nails made me lol.
Wow great job
What fun!
im jealous
At the start of the video, you said it was an okay haul, but it was a very good haul.
I get some delight hearing your Canadian come out when you speak to someone off camera.
Nice haul. Interesting watching the breakdown of the scrap
Nice load 🎉
Wow what a great run and video!!
That looks like a great day. Quality over quantity.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Love your videos Thub! You are very entertaining and taught me alot. I appreciate your ideas!
They were some good dives. 👍
Great stuff
Trash Panda 🐼 Approved! Thank you for the videos!! ⚙️
Excellent score on the BX and no1 from florescent light fixtures!🏴☠😎
Another great video Thub. My favorite part is the processing, it's something I find enjoyable to do myself. I'd sure like to see the truck back in operation
That was really a great haul! All kinds of goodies.
We always try to wait and take the biggest load in as possible when we go and take a load in.
Reminds me of a shirt I saw that said, "Weekend forecast: 100% chance of dumpster diving" Great finds!
Great vid. Almost to 100k🎉🎉

i think he lives in canada
Great haul. Glad to see the vehicle made it to Montreal. You said you were going to tell us why a trip to Montreal. Be safe out there.
That was a decent haul Thub!

What a haul
I am holding my copper. Reason to believe it will skyrocket.
Good Haul!
Really enjoyed the video great haul of wire
enjoying the show I would have kept the tap set having just bought one for a $100 it looked good......will share this with a friend
Could put that long steel bar between the hinged dumpster door and bend it in half or at least in a u shape to fit in your car, next time.....
i like scraping the parade for bottles and cans then converting the money to coin. missed saint patricks today to early
I like your videos
Montreal seems cool. Although the only french I know I learned from 80s movies like Gotcha and Better off Dead. Bon Crayon es Jaun, classic.
I dive in skip bins same way you do 😂
Dang great copper and brass find.
Looking forward to you getting the truck back so you can pick up all the steel you find, instead of leaving it behind.
Love you doing the thing, you should think about doing the cuts accross the brass, thats what i do and all the copper comes easy out 95% of the times, so you ger clean brass and clean copper
Good job! Where is the truck? Any update on the repair?
That ford badge is a easy 20 bucks at least
Every time you jump out of the dumpster and on your feet I can feel my ankles Crack! Be careful.
It's interesting that you crush your bottles and aluminum cans. In the Netherlands, we are required to return them to the supermarket uncrushed.
Great run, you have a friendly demeanour which which puts people at ease, the point of asking before you dive is valet, but what do you do if nobody answers the door. Personally I don't mind seeing anyone making a living dumpster diving so long as the leave it better than.....

I have always wondered if you could use a sandblaster for wire stripping

To each is own but i will always strip the 2 wires inside the romex. I dont scrap based on what I would, should, or could make per hour.
Man you find the best stuff. Dam good.

You had an aluminum drafting table arms. Wish I could call you to save it.
Is the truck gone forever? I scrap with a full size silverado and it's still a struggle to make it worth it...could not imagine doing it in a car.
Great video just wondering do you separate your brass the water meter shell is red brass its worth more than regular yellow at least in my neck of the woods
yo what do you do with cans do you take them to the yard or do you recycle them for the like 5 cents?
10 cents in his part of Canada.
Do you not carry a cordless sawzall with you?
You seem to get lucky in every bin 😂in the uk it's like looking for a needle in a haystack
I do the same thing you do and I hand out business cards and always ask for permission
What do you do with the plastic bottles?
Collects the deposit at the recycling center
Snow looks annoying, glad I don't need to deal with that,
Not birds looking for treasures. I'll bet it was squirrels.
Does Canadialand have opossums? I know they have trash pandas… 🤣

I’m curious as to what you do with the plastic sheath after you strip the wires. Recycle as wel?
Je voudrais aller au Montreal une fois en mon vie!
My French isn’t good enough to reply in, but you should definitely go! I didn’t have nearly enough time there but I can tell you the food is amazing

I think about it sure, but I’d need to bring in some help with managing the video output if I was going to go business mode on scrapping.

It’s all precious metal. Just depends who’s asking. If your gonna sell it or pass to someone else.
I’ve got a quick and easy guide in the playlist somewhere!
@@thubprint I’ll look around. Thank you.
I always keep batman stuff 'cause it sells very quickly :)

Don't they have Ford Falcon Ute's with a 6×8 foot tray in America?
Maybe you could take the passenger seat out so you can fit a lot more stuff. At least until you get the pickup back.
Wow! Awesome video. Have you considered travelling for day trips just for finds outside of your normal area?
Keep the nails, that stuff is going to disappear and if can find very will be expense. When will your pick up (truck) be fixed ? Fun watching and educational. Your good @ stuffing your 🚘
I was thinking of just trying to sell the bucket full, gotta be worth at least a bit more than scrap 👌

He gets 10c for each can, that's much more than what he would get scrapping those for their weight.
❤ scrap yard follow up? 😅😊
hello my friend .. I would like to ask you
