I haven't seen this whole movie, but I sort of don't get these two characters together. There is obviously an attraction, but he is so deep and brooding and passionate, and she seems silly and rvpid and airheaded.
True fact: I’m British and his accent and intonation is so good I assumed he was British. So that even when he says for eg chaance instead of charnce I just thought he was from northern England certainly not from the US.

@@DH-ex4nv EVERYTHING felt forced on Pushing Daisies, so the lack of chemistry didn't stick out so much--I mean, what's the point of chemistry between two people who can never touch? It was a lame premise, and the whimsy got old really fast. Bryan Fuller created one good show, Dead Like Me, and thankfully had very little to do with it, which is why it's the only one I liked. ;)
@@christopherlyons5900 that is fair to point out. I admit the Pushing Daisies was not really my cup of tea either. The artifice of the sets and the silly storylines didn't quite work. More grown storylines were needed but I still think the leads had chemistry. It's that undefinable pull between people.

The writing is weak. Too self-conscious. Adams is wonderful, but she always is. This is badly-done farce.
He had so much more chemistry with Anna Friel in Pushing Daisies. They had magic. It felt really forced with Amy Adams, unfortunately.
