ive bought this exact saw and stand. mine came with the double laser and light fitted in. its been one of my best buys on this mitre saw. my previous saw which i had was a delta 10 inch sliding mitre saw. which served me well for on 12 yrs. until i let my labour borrow it. and he cut straight through the base if the mitre saw. i couldn't believe it. had to had it welded. but never the same. im hoping this will last just as long. as my previous mitre saw. The only downfall is its bloody heavy to lift in and out of my pickup. but besides that i can't fault it. my suggestion would he if you buy this saw would be to get a digital gauge to check all the mitre angle on the back of the saw. then adjust the angles perfectly. as wjen i got it out the box the angles was slightly off. Probably down to the delivery company. and not bosch. honestly if you can afford the price for this saw and the stand you can't go wrong. and the stand is amazing bit of kit. my carpenter mates just love my saw and stand.
helicopter201, was looking for the GDL version over here in North america as well, it seems bosch only wants to sell sub-paar items here, basically only to compete with Dewalt and nothing else. If i can't get the GDL version i will probably be stuck going Festool.
it blows that the here in the us we only get the Bosch GCM12SD, which it seems is the same saw except for NO LASER and a 60 tooth instead of 70 tooth blade as far as i can see... anyone else know any other differences? does the GDL model have improved clearance between the motor belt housing so doing bevels and mitres on the right side gets the same clearance the left does?
this video shows laser on both sides of the blade. What did you use to achieve this and do I need to order it online or did you find it in a store. Please reply...
also would only recommend buying quality blades such as the bosch pro blades. as the cheaper blades are alot thinner. which could cause a wobble and wouldn't give accurate cuts. which was a bosch rep told me.
+DANILO GEROSA , Yeah mate, you would be fine. You can buy an aluminium blade for it, otherwise the standard blade will work if you take it easy with the cuts.
Love Bosch, Very happy to see that there tools are still the best. This will be my next saw.
GCM 12 GDL La mejor
Sin duda Bosch se esmeró por superar a sus contrincantes con esta Sierra de Ingletes y Biseles
Uma ótima serra de esquadria !! ✅
