thats a load of b.s. the speed limit on the highway outside of the town where i live is 75mph, the honda rebel 250 is legal on the highway and so are school buses. school buses cannot exceed 55 mph when they are carrying children.

If you get caught partially in the intersection, you can get hit with Disrupting the Flow of Traffic. Also, makes you an asshole if you chill in an intersection lmao.

I never rode a motorcycle in my life. I do however own and ride often a bicycle. Lets say that i'm on a side of a road, need to get on the other side, there's a lot of traffic and i'm just besides a pedestrian crossing. An easy trick i have found is to get off my bicycle, walk across the crossing since pedestrian have priority at the crossing and on the other side continue my travel on my bicycle. The same principle can be applied on the video above with a motorcycle. Its just that a motorcycle will be a bit harder to push.

Not sure how it is in the US but in England you can't cycle on the pavement, which is the dumbest rule considering that British roads are so thin and the amount of pedestrians so small. It annoys me so much...

My father was into short-wave radio in the late 50s, federal law specifically states that any U.S. citizen can receive any channel though there are restrictions on which channels you can broadcast on. Cops in New York City would pull cars with short-wave antennas over and take their gear if you had the time and money you could fight it and you would win if it got to a federal court. But just before it got to Federal court they would return the gear, and at that point, you would no longer have the standing to proceed. They do the same type of things with cameras and guns. Leftist states and jurisdictions have been doing this crap for more than 70 years, same shit different century.

You can not have anything mounted to your helmet and there was a case in where someone lost for mounting their GoPro to their helmet, mounting means with screws or glue, strapping it on with a straps or clipping it on the same way you do Bluetooth devices is fine.
@Liberty or Death to my understanding, you can wear a helmet gopro as long as it does not interfere with the structure of the helmet, e.g. strapped on externally.

He could have expected the biker to run, and if he were to run then the cop would be able to check his go pro for footage. And footage of speeding could land you a ticket. So that could've been a factor.

Cody S. You clearly have never worked on an engine, and if you have, it’s probably an ecu operated engine. There are top speed limiters on most vehicles, even if you’re going downhill. I’m not saying the cop is a jerk, I’m saying he’s wrong. A mechanical governor operates by limiting how far the throttle cable can go, limiting the rpm, and limits your top speed by doing so. My point is that an electronic top speed limiter limits the Grom’s top speed to 55, to conform with regulations/to keep the engine from blowing at high speed. No need to be jerk because you think I’m wrong. Have a nice day.

Straps will also work! I'm actually a little surprised that helmet manufacturers are not looking into installing mounts for cameras. If they come from the manufacturer that way (and pass safety standards) they will kind of circumvent this law.
There is an argument that can be made that any protruding object could affect the integrity of the helmet. Depending on the mount it is a bit like having a rock constantly against your helmet. I wonder if using a plastic composite for the screws and mounts would increase safety or not.
Most states have the law because they say during a sliding accident anything over 1/4" is "proven" to be able to catch the pavement and break your neck. Except most guys have them suction cupped on. As for those that mount them permanently I guess of you slid and had the exact wrong angle at high speed MAYBE it could injure your neck. Maybe.

Out side of california no state explicitely out laws lane splitting however it is up to the city and ordinance on that rule and up to the cop

Maybe a yes sir/no sir, but just because you ask questions and challenge them does not mean you are speaking "aggressively". It means you have a brain and can think for yourself. If they can't speak to people that may challenge their thinking, they have no business being a public servant.

Situations like this are why police chases happen and people end up hurt, because a lot of cops have poor judgment skills and too much authority, and we dgaf because we can go faster than anything they ride, drive, or fly.

.CJ. I got pulled over doing 63 in a 35 construction zone, the officer was soooo nice to me. I was respectful and was honest that was speeding. He left me off with a 'Too Fast for Conditions'. I could've lost my license and been royally fucked.

Crazy how things can escalate, but this was actually a decent encounter I had with NYPD. He knew he really had nothing on me. It's unfortunate that I've dealt with some real bad cops that try to get under my skin, but it always pays to stay calm. Thanks again dude for reaching out.

Cops in my area always recommend wearing cameras. Keeps everyone liable and there is no misunderstandings when footage is present I don't know why that cop was so weird about it
