What techniques do you use that have made the biggest difference in your workflow? I'd love to hear any I missed as I'm always looking to learn from you all. And! If you are looking for Music to use in your videos, I can't recommend Epidemic enough: share.epidemicsound.com/sn3umj
Here's a big tip for anyone who does the adjustment clips for gameplay and video cam. So say you've set an adjustment clip to have your face cam at the top left corner of the screen for your gameplay, but you're not centered, meaning you might have to readjust the crop and ect. Well, what I do is I select the clip, go into fusion, and simply add in a transform node to move me left, right, up, or down. This readjusts you without needing to touch the cropping and ect.
Biggest time saver is my stream deck mini, have it programmed to cut, ripple cut, undo,play/paude,add default transition, and select all to the right of the play head. After definitely power bin, got intro, background, and titles saved!! Nice video!
It's always great info, dude! I love that tip at the end using the wasd. I use my M1 buttons, but I like that so much I'm going to give it a go. Also, I've been good about using those adjustment clips, but yeah, I don't save them like I should. Question-I use Patrick Stirlings' plug-in for picture-in-picture (SCC-PIP-PRO) for my vertical videos. Will that save on an adjustment clip, too? I'm about to go on vacation with wife 1. I'll catch up with ya'll when we get back next week. 🍻
Resolve should really have some 'memory dots' or macros we can program with preset parameters (with keyboard shortcuts) so we don't have to mess around with copying parameters from one clip to another. Come on Blackmagic, pay some attention to improving the UI for version 20
1st comm, ty for tips!!! .... and please make a video how to record on wide/ultrawide screen, at 1920x1080 and how you make it full screen for YT. I am tired of black bars around my video. ty :)😍😍😍😍

I'm curious how come you didn't just put the adjustment clip on top of the timeline instead of copying the numbers to the clip? I usually just put an adjustment clip on top of regular timeline when I want to change zoom temporary. Is there some performance gain in doing it your way or just personal preference? And I've watched a lot of DaVinci Resolve videos, but never seen anyone use multitrack like that. It was the only thing new to me, but enough to make me save the video so I'm sure to remember it! :) All in all, nice video!
Putting the adjustment clip on top of your track can definitely get the job done! You might start running into some issues when you begin layering multiple video tracks on top of each other, as the adjustment clip will effect the other adjustment clips and videos below it, but if you're working with a single video, nothing wrong with that! Appreciate the kind words as well

that's kind of genius, you could have a whole set of bonus macros saved. Do you have to the left of your keyboard then? Or Above it?
@@itstheWampus to left of my keyboard, i rest hand over the stream and use my thumb, and just scrub with my mouse
@@SleevelessMTG yeah you're an editing demon
Lmao just the video I was looking for. Thanks wampus

4:32 what about in OLDER versions of adventures of DV?
I believe in older versions you'll need to go up top to the "View" menu, and there should be an option to Show Power Bins there
hey if i save lots of media file in power bin does it make softtware heavy
In theory it shouldn't, but I haven't tested it out to an extreme yet :/
How are you doing ur thumbnails btw
I use photoshop, but I've had a few peeps ask about that. Could be good to do a DR tutorial on thumbies
@@itstheWampus yes pls tutorial 😁
@@itstheWampusdefinitely a great idea next, maybe a tut for gamers that want to get a really good cutout using the mask pen
Man that music was distracting
