If you try to outrun the horde on any vehicle Ive noticed they ambush you and you get a ton of birds. I believe they did that to prevent you from just cruising around during horde night.

Game engine (unity) does have limits on audio sources and most common is that all sound sources are on same priority so they are randomly muted). each asset defines their own so more zombie types (not even in numbers) more weapons, etc, define more sounds in audioCore. bumping those limits will put more RAM usage to keep them loaded and CPU to calculate audio directions and mix them.

I'm pretty certain that's how things work still, TFP did it to prevent just driving around all night avoiding zombies and cheesing it.
Don't plan on just driving around all night, the plan is to go out looting with the bike. I'm looking to make things more dangerous and exciting, not less.

Very funny episode and i think with some mega crush or clear water that is a possible way to survive the horde night. Maybe parcour lvl2 will help too. The problem of the subway is that if you are more than 20 blocks away from the entrance, they will start to dig down to you. So if you are behind the 2nd door they will come down to you from above. The only way to avoid that is to 1) cut off the way from the subway to you and 2) make a hole that they have to go into a loop. I think that is the only way that works. Otherwise it will be a subway with skyview because the Zeds will just destroy all above you. Without the loop they will be to fast at you because it is only 15-20 meters to the lowest level. If i'd be you I would do either one or a mix of the options for the base: a drop base as you did in the horde every day-base with a loop way back up, a base on top of the subway which you can use. I think the base done in get wrecked or in higashi should work or you use the buildings around you and make the way up to you possible but again it is way up with potential drop so they will go into a loop. For the Antibiotics: If the trader doesn't provide a pills (restock was on day 7) I would go into the higashi building. I am sure you will find antibiotics, a battery and an engine there.
If you quickly double -tap the use key on the big gates at the traders, you can immediately pass straight through, and they will open and close almost instantly. I think it's faster than opening/closing a regular door.
The trader not being open was quite amusing. The plan failed, but the entertainment did not! Also, that moment losing the hatch right when you pull the pin on the grenade was good stuff!
That was awesome, the best series by far. I waited for that episode the whole time and it was darn worth it. 🙂 The running from the horde in the city... you could make a novel out of it.

If you are going to run around, then you could build a few mini bases to run back and forth to during the horde. If you dug out the dirt track area, you could make it a partial pit base. Might be able to lower the ceiling scaffolding part another block so you could add a row of blocks on the ceiling.
Indeed, as others have said the audio cutting out happens without mods. It only happens on horde nights when there is a lot going on, such as zombie noises, electrical traps etc etc.
That was pretty cool running around the city with the zombies chasing you. It made for a exciting episode! Being locked out of the trader was the icing on the cake!
Pick a few buildings and add platforms to them with ladders as escape spots. take out any stairs inside that building so they can't get to you. Move from one building to the next as you need too. Maybe add a chest to each location and place at least a water, bandage and small amount of ammo in each chest.
Honestly believe you are too good of a player for vanilla. Even with this series. Try Warezuk. I started a game, finished starting quest and tried to raid a small cabin. Ran into a Demo dual wielding M60s. It was awesome. 😁
you could setup a series of mini bases throughout the city. so if you have to go on the run you have moderately armored safehouses you can use to take a break in.
Could be that horde night is “over” but because the zombies from the horde continue to force track you until they die/ you kill them that the trader doesn’t let you in so you also can’t cheese it.
I’ve been genuinely hoping for a run-around tactic, like you sometimes did with the original Lockdown series. It’s just so much more intense! A safe base is nice and all, but almost dying makes it exciting! 😂
It is a viable option but its not gaurenteed survival as time goes on the hordes will just be to overwhelming for him unless he makes multiple outposts arround the city with meds and ammo
Say it with me Glock. Loot bags 🙏 doesn’t 🙏 despawn 🙏. Also loving this series, think it’ll turn out to be one of your more interesting playthroughs. Personally I’d rather see how you’d figure out a hordebase than the running around.
If you're worried about updating just make a backup of the files, both the save and whatever 7days is running. Love watching so i hope it doesn't end for a while.
It’d be a missed opportunity if you didn’t build a little gauntlet run between your place and the trader. High hides, spike alleyways, highwire building crosses, etc. maybe an ammo stash if you’re feeling squirrelly. Lol
I've been running 64 zombies on horde night. The only mods I have are my zombies and a vehicle mod. The only time I've gotten the silent-shot glitch during horde night is when I had 6 shotgun turrets going at the same time.

Yes you get constantly attacked by a mob of "super" vultures that move far faster than anything else. Even turbo vehicles.
had that happen once when my base failed, vehicles are useless during horde.
Yea ive got a bike in my base so i cycle round circles and the birds come in for the rotten flesh works brilliantly

That audio glitch happens when there’s too many zombies and noises going on for the game to handle so it removes some to reduce cpu usage

That's not an audio glitch with the gunfire. Your firearm was bitten and is now also a zombie! It shoots and growls in intervals.

That "Trader not open" bug is because you changed your day length. Hordes now last until the "night" ends.

I ran around with the vomiting vultures on horde night. On a motorcycle, they're easy to out run. Unless you get stuck.

From what I know lootbags despawn timer stop when your not near them which is why sometimes you’ll find random loot bags
