I think Kaeya is the strongest ice bridger, because he can consistently create ice bridges wide enough for several players to use. His bridge is also very reliable, you have plenty of time to get over to the new ice platform, you have to goof up real bad to fall into the water. That being said, it's a rather slow way to cross large bodies of water. Ayaka is the fastest ice bridger, and the most convenient - in singleplayer. Once you learned to do it right, you can cross large bodies of water rather quickly. While she's unrivaled in singleplayer, she is not that good in multiplayer - her dash doesn't create a bridge others could use. And if you mess up, you can end up in the water at the end of her sprint, too. In short: Kaeya is the OG, easy to use and extremely reliable, very strong if multiple people need to cross bodies of water. Ayaka is OP in singleplayer bridging, so far nobody rivals her. Layla and Mika are there to cheer for the Kaeya/Ayaka/Ganyu building the bridge.

I was so sad when I saw how terrible he was in the test run and this just broke my heart even more. As someone who’s literally named Mika (well, technically a nickname but it’s still more commonly used than my real name) I hate just how badly Mika got the short end of the stick
Something else I hate about Mika’s crossbow in general is that it will ONLY hit CENTER MASS. I tested it on a lot of mobs and one of them was the aim accuracy. So I tried to hit ruin guard weakpoints and it WILL NOT HIT. Even if you put the crosshair dead center on that eye it will always hit in the mobs’ midsection.

When there is a new ❄️Cryo Character Released, players test the character's ice bridge's duration and aoe and if their skills and bursts can create ice bridges. When there is a new 🪨Geo Character, players testing the character if they can create a Geo Construct. How About 💦, ⚡, 🌱, and 🔥?
Don't forget the most important one. When a new character of any element is released, people brought them to the Mondstadt bridge for some kind of 'research'.

the problem is... kaeya is really slow. Ayaka not only has 100 percent uptime, but she can sprint on water, use her normal attack when your stamina is low (she gets cryo infusion after dash/sprint), then sprint again. Kaeya can't sprint on water, and you have to wait for his cooldown, so it would take you much MORE time. That's why people have been using ayaya
Ayaka was never the best ice bridger. Kaeya still holds that role. Ayaka excels at getting _herself_ across water, but nobody makes a better actual bridge for other people with as much ease as Kaeya.
Wait, this means you can use Mika with any characters that have too long of a cooldown! Use their skill, then use Mika just holding it before finally shooting at the water below him after the other character's cooldown has expired. This should give you just enough time to switch and use the skill of the other character
