I feel like when someone screams during a melee takedown, that should cause nearby soldiers to come and investigate. Maybe frontal takedowns make them scream, but stealth/rear takedowns are silent.

Also when you shoot an enemy to the head basically shutting down his nervous system enemies shouldn't scream (at least THAT loud). But even so I laugh everytime anyways. Man I love these series)
Another game brought to you by the company who used to make sniping games 😂.
Follows the same layout as SE5. Start with an open view with few sniping opportunities, into a bottle neck, onto a few close courtyards and then tight fighting inside buildings with highly improbable floor plans and weird internal designs, finishing on an open layout with a bunch of enemies.
51:16 - in the pop up task box it was giving you the "you're getting warmer, warmer, oooh colder, much colder" but you kept moving further from it. 😝
I know but i stopped relying on that distance marker after trying to use it the first time 🤣

And still did nothing to fix the trashy character movement .re skin garbage... Moves like he's got a stick up his arse

They created this huge map... then put barely any enemies around.
Is it huge? SE3 maps looked bigger. These are just more densely packed because of the buildings.
That's why I always let the enemy raise the alarms in SE5... it gives me something to do.
Looks exactly like the last game. I don't see any differences or improvements except for a different character to control.
It is the same but a whole new campaign.
I love how you went the exact route I was hoping the other two I’ve watched play this mission would. Instead they went straight through the crowd in front of them . I get there was a time limit to how long one can play but still, have a bit of tact

Same game, same size, same sound, nothing new

At least he doesn't drone on about grass like Karl does in SE5. I could hardly ever approach grass without Karl having something to say. It got quite annoying. Harry does seem to be a bit less talkative overall, and his banter is more varied. I wouldn't mind a main game character talking so much, if they constantly had a diverse array of funny comments. Think Duke Nukem, but with more variety.

Actually looks a little better than I was expecting. But, if the developers are checking this for comments/feedback, we need more enemy troops in the map. Looks great but is far too empty in its current form. A game like sniper elite thrives on replayability but if the map is too empty, it will be a quick sprint rather than a meaningful approach. Just my thoughts....
Что-то качество графики не ушло далеко вперёд по сравнению с Снайпер Элит 4. Это какой-то позор... И даже больше, мне эта игра напомнила Снайпер Элит 3 в Берлине... И графика точно такая же по уровню. Нет никакого развития графики.

@@ИванПоляков-ч8д , тут играл в СЭ4 на HD7970 - относительно всё было нормально настроено, разве что графон на средне-высоких, не ультра. А сейчас вот уже три дня, как поставил 4070 Супер - и, выставив в СЭ4 всё на ультра - вижу в динамике (бег героя) какие-то недостаторы, недофризы. Какое-то еле заметное подёргивание. Вертикальную синхронизацию включил, ограничение монитора в 60 фпс в приложухе Нвидиа тоже включил. Но всё равно что-то не то, дёрганая игра стала какой-то. Сейчас вот включил в приложении НВидиа "Режим низкой задержки" - вроде стало получше. Ещё щас опробую режим Ультра этой же опции. Неприятно купить мощную карту и получить какой-то фризовый шлак на выходе.

The "they have another super weapon" angle is getting tiresome honestly, I would like if they moved away from this History channel esque story telling device. Having more missions like the one where you help prepare for D Day and stuff like that would be nice. Or maybe a different theater or war.
What else would motivate an elite soldier to infiltrate enemy grounds instead of sabotaging a secret weapon
Me personally, I’m willing to tolerate cliché storytelling as long as the plot makes sense.

The options for the war you can set it in are kind of limited. Unless you don't care about drawing the wrath of Kotaku and IGN types. If they set a game in Korea or Vietnam, the people you're shooting would not be of European descent. Journalists would be furious.

Good large map...plenty to explore. Great killing power with that Berthier rifle. I look forward to testing it against the Lee or the 98. Thanks for the gameplay.
As an avid player since the first game and a frequent player of 4 and 5 i will most definitely play however i do wish for some new gameplay on sniper elite 6.

Sniper elite v2 was so great because you had missions where you had to interfere with the Russians and Germans. And I think this is what SE5.1 resistance is missing

I am hoping that the next version might be on the eastern front. Hopefully with one of the female Soviet snipers.
I think they gave us enough hints in the last game that the next would be a Pacific campaign.

I am not sure what they will do. The Pacific theater was such a different type of warfare. It will be interesting to see where they take the game.

Looking forward to your review of this BB. You stand out from the rest of the RUclips reviewers because you are so objectively honest and straightforward… SE5 is the release many love to hate despite the enormous success of Axis Invasion, and you consistently nailed the problems from the veteran player’s point of view. I’m expecting a couple of minor new features with Resistance but otherwise business as usual with respect to Invasion, which is why I will no doubt be playing it intensely in co-op on Authentic. Love the Invasion PvP mode. Only regret I have is that I will probably be away for several weeks around the time of first release so I’m gonna miss all the fun… can’t complain though as it will be an epic hunting trip of another kind.

Looks great, and a nice huge map with lots of scope for a long stealthy completion of missions, although I realise you had to go quickly through to show us.
Not going to watch it but I sure hope there's plenty of blow up AA guns side objectives.

So it's basically just a huge Sniper Elite 5 addon but more expensive. To me that is both a bad thing and a good thing. A bad thing because basically everyone expected some kind of progress between the two games. A good thing because I really love Sniper Elite 5 and know what to expect from this game. It's more of the stuff I like.
Even the improved menu looks great!

What everyone wants to see is the multiplayer side of things, Rebellion always do the campaigns very good. It’s the multiplayer where we play after the campaign is completed we all thinking about.,

Between this and Atomfall i wonder if Rebellion will ever branch out and make titles based off 2000AD characters..of course there is demand for new Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper and Strontium Dog games,but it'd be interesting if there's also co-op focused ones for ABC Warriors,Sinster Dexter and Harlem Heroes..

Yeah no idea where they got this from, that train is called a Panzerzug in German. All you find on google for "Zugwerfer" is an weapon in Horizon Forbidden West lol
German here. Yeah, that translation would be correct. Makes no sense though.

Can you toggle the "kill" animation off? Could get kinda annoying after a while I would think.
They really need to work on shadows at night and day in SE4 some areas I literally couldn’t see Karl because it was so dark but at the same time enemies had to literally touch me to see me

Hi BrutalBarracuda, I have a problem with Sniper elite 4: I want to get the 100 percent of this game but there's a ribbon that asks win a round of elimination withouth dying.
The problem is that I do it many times and I never get the ribbon.
I writed to Rebellion but they don't answer, I'm writing to tell you if you can write them.

@davidearea242 Yes, I'm sure they wouldn't answer knowing Sniper elite resistance is in development, but I would be very excited to get the 100 percent and I'm still hoping they will respond.

After seeing Stalker 2's actually dark nights, SE5:R seems awfully bright. Is this gamma correct? If they're worried enough about bombers to have search lights, why isn't the town blacked out? Googl says Paris didnt do blackouts (as location too well known), but Lyon did (where Fourviere is). Yeah it's a game, but seeing the street lights get shot out, and darkness barely changing... Still, be interesting when an analysis vid is done.
When are they going to make a Sniper Elite that takes place in modern time?

It feels like a reskinned SE5. It even has the same soundtrack, by the sound of it.
The Shooting Range is almost exactly the same as Snipers Elite 5 the only difference is it set in night and Different BGM

So many sandbags that can't be vaulted 🤦 I would be fine with a copy-paste of SE5 for this spinoff if they at least had fixed those legacy bugs, this game looks like SE5 but even rougher around the edges. I guess that's what happens when you give only a limited time and budget to an external studio to make a game for you.

So is this a new stand alone SE game? The sound design and music sounds amazing. I love it. But it looks like SE 5.1 like somebody already said in the comments. I know it has sniping, but SNIPING needs to be put back in the game, as the main focus! I don’t like that you can just run and gun at he level with ease.
Would be fun stealing the motor cycle driving round shooting at one point you could of hop into the lorry has it came up you could think time frame 18 close to that

Rebellion should rename the franchise removing "Sniper Elite" as there is little to no sniping anymore. Perhaps call it "Urban Warfare Elite" or "Commando Elite"? There is too much reliance on pistol and smg gameplay.

Yes new game that you can pre-order but it seems to be just a carry on from SE5
It is a SE5 DLC....i will buy it, but in discount as Ultimate Edition in usd 20 in June 2025....

The only thing I didn't like about SE4 was that playing slow is way too safe & boring.
Just crouch-walk & backstab your way through the whole game no problem.
Axis Invasion & the removal of crouch run are good, but they're easily countered by booby traps & mines.
I hope they take a cue from MGS5 & have side objectives that expire if you don't do it fast enough.
First scene is amazing just 15 seconds in...pist I have to go to work...not getting PS+ just have to wait for the disc...sucks

Maps look a lot more detailed and better
And based on how the description says we'll be going into a more Nazi controlled part of France meaning we'll be going into more mainland of France which makes me excited
