Recalibrate your esc forward reverse and neutral will solve the tx starting at half throttle. Also you can adjust throttle curve on the mamba x via castle link and adjust many other features also
I found the traxxas remote quite difficult to crawl with but I didn’t notice that until I upgraded to a dx5 rugged from spektrum the traxxas trigger is very touchy and stiff and also has a large dead zone when the dx5 rugged is very smooth and has a lighter spring and a much smaller dead zone. Definitely upgrade from the traxxas remote if you want smooth starts and just a better feel overall while driving anything not just crawlers.
What drive shafts are you running? I have a 2400kv castle and mamba X on 3S I managed to crack the ball joint on a MIP HD set. I was just doing max throttle and brake tests.
This is awesome! I’ve been trying to figure out how to reduce the total speed on my Summit since putting the mamba monster x in without having to reprogram or getting the mamba monster Bluetooth module also. I already have the traxxas one so this is a huge help!

You have another more powerful tool to get good low speed control, the Castle ESC can have a custom throttle curve programed into it using the Castle link. Its super easy, you just want the curve to be very gradual at the bottom and ramp up steeply at the end. play with a few curves and see what happens, its really not too complicated.
You have a mamba x. Why don’t you use throttle control there? I have so at 3/4 gas I have 50% power and at full it’s 100%. That way I still have that power when needed cause sometimes you do need it on the fly. You don’t have time to change a dial.

I actually use the receiver and transmitter from a exc barrage lol I find they have better range and way more options than the stock tq transmitter and it doesn't have that ugly long receiver cable.
1900kv on 4s is nice for heavy cars like the TRX 6 you have a shit load on torque, an it is easy to control the speed. Sensored Systems are nice. but you have a too high KV rating for this KV you must programm the esc in Castle link.
I think that ESC even has a crawler mode that applies the brake when you let off, my friend has the same ESC and we accidentally set it in this mode once lol.
Nah get 4000kv or higher for a 10th scale for high speeds I run a 5200kv and on 3s can do 75+ in my slash 2wd and 65 in my granite 4x4, the lower kv motors are for like 8th and 6th scale, the little 18th scale brushless motors are like 7000kv.
So I just purchased the mama X and the 1415 2400kv I bought it for my Wraith I'm running a Mamba Max and a Tekin pro4 HD 3300kv in it now my local hobby shop only had the 2400 KV I was wanting something a little bit higher KV I'm wanting the best of both worlds crawling and little bit of speed can somebody tell me Should I stick with the 2400 KV or should I take it back and wait for 3300 any comments I'd appreciate it

Ive had the traxxas link for my stampede for ages, but not used it much other than for reducing braking
