Theory here: the body stayed "preserved" because it was in freezer that was actually recently dumped. In one of the gigs (Many Ways to Skin a Cat, at Rever Courier Service, if I recall correctly) there is a message on one of the computers about a freezer being held since the 2020s that is due to be thrown out since the account is no longer being payed up. Edit: it's on a yellow tagged datashard
This sounds about right from what I remember too. It will be really interesting to see how all of this ties together with what's going on beyond the black ice and the other AIs inhabiting bodies
Oh damn smart connection. Explains the preserved nature and why it was so "accessible", truck straight up dropped it the week of V's story taking place.
The simple fact that there's still ice cubes and the body is still intact makes me think exactly this connection. If the ice box had been there alot longer, the body would have been a liquefied slop.

So what you're saying, is that Spider Murphy retired, found religion, and opened a New Age shop called 'Misty's Esoterica.' You know, I always figured that Misty could afford to go days without customers because Vik was independently wealthy, and simply paid for her and her shop to act as a front for his back alley ripper clinic. Now it's clear I was wrong, and I had it backwards. It also conveniently explains why Misty knew what drug would unleash Johnny in V's mind. Relic 2.0 is derived from Soulkiller, and Spider Murphy is already intimately familiar with that. It could also explain why V see tarot cards all over the place, that conveniently look exactly like Misty's deck, despite V not really knowing what tarot cards were beforehand. Misty probably slipped some code into V's OS while they were laid up after the heist, in order to try and help them out.

You totally missed that there's a possible reference to her in the Cyberpunk RED book. In the section on NPC's of Night City is this listing. A Recluse, of course, is a type of spider. Recluse (Netrunner): Very little is known about the hermitic Netrunner living in the heart of the Combat Zone's Old Japantown district. But everyone in the Combat Zone knows you don't go into the old Kaifū Corner shopping complex unless you're looking for trouble or you need a top-tier Netrunner. For the last several years, Recluse has lived in the abandoned mini-mall, installing expensive, covert defenses and complex NET Architectures that most Edgerunners could only dream of acquiring. She only speaks with clients who can shell out big time cash and never meets anyone in person. Recluse prefers to meet clients in the lobby of her NET Architecture, where she appears in the form of her Icon, a tremendous brown recluse spider with an icy voice. Some say she's an ex-Netwatch agent, hiding out from her former employers; some say she's really an A.I.; and some people even say Recluse is a Net Ghost who lives in the Old NET. But there's one thing everyone in the Combat Zone knows: if you need a NET cracked, no matter how airtight, you go to Recluse.

(thousands nerds who died at their PC cause 0 psychical activity doesnt count) It looks like 1940-th expectation of 1990 year, where people should fly at flying saucers, wear space suits and shoot from deathray guns, or something. Same with flying machines from Back to the Future. That's why Robocop script was in 2170-th years, or something - it's more realistic. Personally i bet on 3000 year, or something - cause scientific progress is not so fast as in Sci-Fi...
Ancient comment, but Johnny's memories are not the actual events that took place. It's either his own twisted version of the events triggered by ego or trauma (or both) or the memories of the engram were tampered with by Arasaka.

Spider Murphy very likely became the infamous "Recluse" from RED. They all but state it outright.
dan ur vids are very interesting found ur channel yesterday keep it up!
I like how people were offended by Rebecca but then you have Spider's icon...
Rogue must have used Sandevistan to turn her head at 0:16
Wouldn't the ice have melted by 2020???? In 2077?? Or is this some super ice?
You're one of the few people I've heard say her name without accidentally adding a hyphen. Spider-Murphy, Spider-Murpy...
very important thing to remember : the Johnny flashbacks are not what actually happened. They are only the flawed and twisted memories that simmered for 50 years.
Are we sure Spider Murphy didn't change her identity or something? Perhaps she's working at a little spirit shoppe in Watson.
so Bart's engram actually died? I thought he was still alive somewhere beyond the black wall
I wonder if the name came from Jailhouse Rock?
how can it be that cybermorphy did a gig a day after arasaka tower grayson on ebunike says rouge was trhe only person from the team that survived this event?
I get it now… misty is spider😂👍🏽
I'm still confused about why Spider made an engram of Johnny and how that ended up in Arasaka's hands
Still hate how t bug just wasn’t morned, wish v had at least something to say
Who else went crazy when you saw Nux?
Just patiently waiting for those Sony hackers to break our internet
it's confusing when johnny's memories lie and even art's "engram" isn't her. hope the sequel has a lot of Mr. blue eyes.
Rage Bartmoss :)
given the same VA and similar voices what if misty is her daughter? no one knew who spider murphy really was in the meat space except maybe johnny and rogue. and they arn't talking
Short Version: No one knows.
You can't just casually mention V-Tubing without telling us your Oshi Dan!
Cool character >o
If I had a nickel for every hacker-type character voiced by Erica Lindbeck, I'd have two nickels
Someone know how i can make have on V same colours Johnny Silverhand have it on his memories back then?
Make a video on telltale games of thrones game
Sooo the short answer is "I don't know"
9:40: vids from Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity. I was there...
Anyone know where/if/how to get her helmet/headgear?
Well Spider is dead, or at least you can find her grave at the end of the game in the Johnny ending, her name on one of the walls where you put [REDACTED]
I haven't verified it, but I read in a different thread that they removed her name from there in one of the patches.
It's 2023 now, and where is all those netrunners? (thousands nerds who died at their PC cause 0 psychical activity doesnt count) It looks like 1940-th expectation of 1990 year, where people should fly at flying saucers, wear space suits and shoot from deathray guns, or something. Same with flying machines from Back to the Future. That's why Robocop script was in 2170-th years, or something - it's more realistic.
Personally i bet on 3000 year, or something - cause scientific progress is not so fast as in Sci-Fi...
she and rogue sold out to arasaka.. Case solved.
Is that how you pronounce his name? Raich? I always thought it was rach eee.
So basically they were 4chan?
Things that happen in game are part of cannon? Or that is own separate universe?
Ancient comment, but Johnny's memories are not the actual events that took place. It's either his own twisted version of the events triggered by ego or trauma (or both) or the memories of the engram were tampered with by Arasaka.
