A good tip is the quality and flat-faced honesty of the shop! Most good shops, especially eco-friendly shops, will answer all questions about the origins of their furs. Quality is also important as an unhealthy and unhappy fox wont give a good tail. I have two red fox tails about 15” in length. One is from a Chinese fur farm and one is from a roadkill taxidermist. The roadkill looks like a proper fox tail with deep reds, clean fur, a nice smell, and strong leather. The Chinese variety is a dirty sandy brown in color, has short, scraggly, nasty fur, smells like oil and machines, and will probably break with a single tug. If reviews paint a tail as nasty and rotting and miscolored, the animal probably wasn’t treated well. Fur is like hair, a reflection of health and happiness.
It breaks my heart to see animals treated like that. It’s wrong and unhumane. I hate it so much! If people order tails from eBay and it turns out to be a real tail they should be upset but they should honour the animals life, be careful in future and never buy from the same seller again
Also being a fox therian... I cried so hard. This is messed up! These poor babies. WE NEED TO STOP THIS CRUELTY! THIS IS HORRIBLE PLEASE NO MORE! PLEASE STOP! PLEASE NO! THESE POOR ANIMALS DID NOTHING TO YOU! SO STOP!
Poor fur babys... but i have to say this "Your not paying for a product.. your paying for an animals life" *HAPPY MUSIC PLAYS* Rip beautiful furry babys...
It broke my heart to watch the furfarm clip. when it got to the pups i started crying because my dog had puppies 2 weeks ago and they have long beautiful fur, and those fox pups have scruffy dirty fur, i wish i could just scoop them up and take them home.. I also wear a tail i got off of amazon and i just barely realized yesterday that it was real fur and i started crying.. the tail was more on the expensive side but it still broke my heart. I also wear the collar of one of my dogs that passed away a few years ago. I wear it because i think of it as respect in a way, it shows that i remember her, and love her enough to keep her with me everyday. i also do this with bird feathers, cat teeth, dog claws and rarely fur. (i only collect fur if i find it on the ground and i know that it was just shed.) Also random story: One time we heard a howl followed along with a few yipes, im pretty sure it was a coyote or something since we do live in st. george. The next morning i went outside and fur was left on our gate, i ended keeping it and i still have it now. I know this comment is really long and boring.. whoops.
im so happy that i found an eco friendly tail......that the coyote the tails is from lived a wild and a free life and unfortunatly died but due to natural causes (the tails hairs are really rough so i thing the animal got pretty old)
@@katyazzzzz i got it from etsy. The foxes lived their wild life, and when they get killed by natural causes, the tail is taken. Edit: the shop is located in Minnesota
I cried a little bit watching this. . .I used to believe that buying poor quality tails was like bringing the "animal" into a better home, but I don't want to pay farms like that a cent. It is so, so heart breaking. Thank you so much for making this video :(
I'm very sorry for making you feel bad in any way. I hope you learned something, and know you should never feel bad about something you didn't know. So eitherway it's fine. I hope I could learn you, and many others, something new and prevent them from buying from those places.
I like how you made a video on this topic. Not a lot of therians do. I own real fur tails and I have memories from my foxes life of living on a fur farm. My red fox Vince was born a killed in a fur farm and I can very much remember the experience.
If you guys are looking for uncruel tails, I recommended Amazon specific seller, forison. From my knowledge, they are hobby taxidermist. And also ursfur, I know they for sure they are taxidermist. You can tell from length, quality and price. I researched for awhile since amazon is my only source. I hope this is helpful.
I just bought my first tail from a Pride event vendor! It was 30$ and I asked many questions before buying it and knew certainly it was sourced ethically. I felt such a connection to it and am so happy to have gotten an animal that lived. That lived and that warms my heart that I can continue its soul through mine. The vendors were named EARTH SKY BONE.
I'm very happy to hear this! I love yarn tails a lot and are actually my favorite kind of fake tail as not only can many make them themselves. They also can look pretty realistic and move very fluently. I love it!
I wouldn't know why wool would be cruel? If it's a sheep pelt with leather, yeh then for sure as they killed the animal. But otherwise they just shave the animal. They don't hurt it. For as far as I know
Ase Akhal-Teke weird. In my country. They got sheeps which will live on big fields and naturally grow their pelt. Then everytime it's "time". They get shaved. And putten back on the fields. Grow again, shave again. And so on. Lambs often get born. Sometimes too much tho and are then sold to other farmers, eaten by the farmer or sold to a slaughter house. But besides that, no one is hurt or killed.
I feel like a monster I bought my first tail just now and it’s already out for shipping… I can’t get rid of it but I will pay my respects to a abused animal who had given there life for my pleasure I will always remember the fox and take care of the tail as a promise that he gave up something I will be grateful for my entire life thank you for sharing this heart breaking video I will always remember this I know I am guilty for buying form these monsters but I can not give it back the least I can do is give the tail the best care and respect I can.
I feel the same. As a buddhist, it is horrifying to realize i may have purchased a fur farmed tail (the seller claims it is wild) I will keep it and wear it. It reminds me of the work that must be done. I will cherish and honour the animal who died and bring new life to the body part. Seeing fur farmed pictures also enlightened me on something i had no idea on. I feel a reason to live and strive for more than ever seeing those. There is much work to be done, it seems. Wearing my tail will remind me of that. That being said i feel guilty when i wag my tail, or do fun things while wearing it, because it feels sick. It is one way of honouring the animal, bringing patt of it back. In my opinion. But still, i feel deeply guilty and horrified.
Cant be sure its farmed since theres most evidence points to it being wild and not cruelly farmed. The sellers claim theyre native handmade products, and in my head i thougut it was a second hand tail because of this. However it does have the chinese lobster clamp which is gold. It may be they just bought those clamps for cheapness when making, but it means that its made quite recently. I dont really know how the fox died. Im more than happy to own tails that are roadkill or died of natural causes or illness in the wild. That feels just, to keep the spirit of the animal going. But not even ethical farms which seems like just 'not as bad' but still farmed.
I'm pretty sure my fox huntress was killed by a car... because every single time a car drives by or I go in a car I get really bad anxiety. And also I've been having dreams of myself of myself as a fox and the headlights of a car coming towards me as I feel it crashing into me.
PD I'm glad you made this video I wanted a real tail go a while and I could have got it from a tortured animal if you didn't make it so THANK YOU SO MUCH
I'm glad then that I could learn you something and that you didn't buy from cruel places! :') You're very welcome. Be sure to spread the word, so that others will also know the truth behind their tail.
it's disgusting how far people are willing to go for money and beauty. Animal testing, fur farms, etc. are just absolutely disgusting, disturbing, sad, and just simply horrific. It's way to far to murder and torture those foxes that didn't even get a chance at life, heck, guessing they wouldn't even get half way through life and then they immediately get killed for cheap tails that are just mass produced and just disgusting and out of hand. I literally had a shaking hand over another tab I was going to click if it was getting to heavy for me to watch. And not even 5 seconds in, I clicked off and just blankly stared at my screen. And the sad thing is that other people will be willingly buying cruel fur farm tails either knowing the conditions or not.
And the fact that they are just taking dogs and cats off of the streets that still had a loving family and just animals that actually had a chance at life get taken off and strangled and stomped. Its so disgusting. The silver fox frantically running around the cage just broke my heart, the way the forced those animals or of the cages with metal sticks and wires around their necks and even the baby foxes. BABY. FOXES. They didn't even get to see their family before getting their fur ripped off and just thrown onto a pile of their own kind and other animals. I ever thought it would be so bad. I just wish these countries had animal rights.
I FEEL REALLY GOOD RIGHT NOW, MY TAIL LOOKS AWESOME AND IT IS CRUELTY FREE :D I used to feel really bad because it was from amazon but it turns out that they are taxidermists. :D Great vid! I skipped the cruelty part because I just can't see it, once I kicked a boy for breaking a bird nest 😅.
I have a beautiful coyote tail that was preserved by a native. I bought it from Etsy and it came with a coyote skull, a coyote's face, coyote teeth, coyote toe bones and coyote claws. All of these parts were ethically sourced and as far as I can remember, the coyote/coyotes died from natural causes. The fact that the tail was ethically sourced makes me value the coyote tail very much, even though it's not even wearable. I plan to make it wearable by sewing some fabric onto the exposed leather and creating a loop so I can attach a keyring loop, and then attach one of those telephone cable hairbands (as shown in your pull-proof tail video) onto the keyring loop, hopefully the tail will become wearable and pull-resistant.
very cool idea! another possibility is to create a hole in the leather (1-2cm away from any edges!) and add a gommet to prevent the leather ripping due pressure of the keychain ring/rope/.. through the hole while wearing. This is the most used method of wearing tails by therians :)
This is absolutely so heartbreaking to see, not just cause I'm a fox Therian and seeing foxes like this hurt me to a extreme amount but the other animals as well that have to go through this hell, I've never bought a real fur tail but if I do I will get it from good sellers like the ones you listed in the description, China and other countries that do this torture need to step up their laws and care for once about these animals and put non humane fur farms out of business for good, this is truly heart breaking and thank you for spreading the word PD ❤️
I hope I can by spreading my word inform others and prevent this from happening somehow :/ I'm sorry to have made u felt hurt by what was said and/or showed in the videos however. It truely is sad..
PD thank you for spreading the word! And it's not your fault and I knew fur farms were bad but I wasn't fully aware of what happened in them and I'm glad I watched your video cause it made me learn!
My first, and probably last real tail was from amazon. I payed around 20 dollars for it, and it is nice quality and came in well branded packaging. The way these animals are treated is absolutely heartbreaking tho :(
I literally cried while watching this: throwing animals 10 feet in the air in cages with no space to land correctly? And the people are just OKAY with that? Huh?!
Well anyone if you wanna buy a tail I recommend going to Cherokee cuase they sell tails at a lot of shops there :) and the tail are Coyote and fox tails (maybe others) They are non cruelty tails the tails are taken of animals the people found in the woods that died from natural cuases! So go to Cherokee and look at the shops and you could find tails there :) Edit: remember the coyote tails some times are hunted coyotes that got killed (sometimes that happens)
I never trusted/liked fur farms either way, even if it is “cruelty free” it’s still saddening, at least to all of us because we love animals, they are like our family so please people I beg you... DO NOT buy from cruel fur farms, I would be ok with cruelty free fur farms because the animals most likely died of natural causes :’) :3 Great video as usual PD! I find these very educational about therianthropy (by the way do you know any websites that are cheaper and have FAUX FUR not REAL FUR?)
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and well I don't really. You can make yarn tails yourself, there are many tutorials online. Faux fur is usually actually so expensive, and more expensive than real fur, as the materials are a lot more expensive (u pay 20$ for a metre of faux fur.. for good quality), besides that there are many hours of hand sewing into them. Spots, stripes and realistic patterns/shades are by "airbrushing" (painting) etc. This all takes a lot of work, which rises up the price. Etsy is your best shot, fursuit fb groups or making urself
You can always copy the link and paste it in a comment (then it becomas a link they have to click) or click the little + symbol through which u normally add pictures and press 'add youtube link'. Paste the link and it'll show the actual video instead of the link :) Eitherway thank you so much!
I was reading a book one day, and I read one sentence that broke my heart, and it is just what we are talking about in here. That sentence said: "Behind every faux therian tail lies the heartbreaking truth of animals suffering in cruel fur farms, where lives are traded for fashion." Its true.
I feel horrible now. I have an $11 taiI got off of Amazon and I really hope it was eco-friendly. I had no clue they went through this much suffering. I thought it was all fake fur.. I feel like such a cruel person for buying my tail :c if only I knew
This is so messed up, so instead of buying one, I spent a while making a yarn one but it's a lot better than buying one of these horrible horrible places
I’m crying omg I’m never buying s tail from those places again. a animals live matters I’m so happy you made this video to spend awareness of this animal abuse.
This is heart breaking but ty for sharing this I rlly want a tail BUT I have been making sure to do A LOT of research becuase I rlly rlly don’t want a real one it would break my heart if I got a real one💔
“Your not paying for a product, your paying for and animal’s life.” *Upbeat intro plays* Also this is really sad, but its also sad NOT to buy these tails b/c then their death are for nothing and their tails will go to waste
I don't care if I get shot dead or thrown in jail, seeing those animals get treated like that make me wanna storm in and give them a piece of my mind with fists and fury. the foxes, the minks, and pets!!!! I am so careful about where I buy my tails, I don't ever wanna support these farms.
I'm trying not to cry. I bought a 13 dollar tail but idk if it's real or not- it looks pretty real though. I've been watching what kind if tails I buy and stuff like that. I look thoroughly at the comments and the descriptions of the tails. But sometimes they lie and say that its faux fur but it could be real fur and that makes me sad
If you give me a link to the tail, I can check it for you if you want me to? I pretty much know almost all sellers out there by now and all 'typical' fake ones. ETC. I would be able to tell you.
Thank you very much. A lot of people dont understand. Do you know of any etsy stores I can buy good quality tails from? I know where to get wild foxes from that arent farmed and I know how to make a tail but the problem is all the foxes here are very small orange foxes. So I would have to bleach the fur and re dye it which might ruin it.
I have some (etsy) shops recommaned at the end of the video describtion. Take a look at those :) some are furfarms, other roadkill and/or hunt. Others do all together. I think I specified for some.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO that content was crazy theres no way theres people who have no heart like this.. i know there is, thats the scary part!
It's true but I make my tails by braiding knitting thread and then brushing out my knitting thread to make it fluffy... then placeing a key thingie on the top then a key chain to clip to my belt loop on my pants....
Yep! Those are yarn tails, can also be bought on Etsy and everyone can, with the needed patience, create one! I highly recommand those as a fake alternative as they can look very real too :) I'm glad you chose a fake tail!
Im reaaally sad, cause most of the sites that were shown are unavailable and in my country $200 dollars are like 700 or 1000, i cant spend that on a tail. Sadly the only affordable tails are on ebay and amazon, but i wont buy from fur farms.. Is there any other way or site?
I tried my best to still keep out the worst.. footage of foxes beings skinned alive, people pulling off fur from their bloody furless bodies. Kicking in the air, screaming and then bleeding till dead.. I did leave the audio in and the screaming foxes, but the footage was just Too worse. Even I couldn't look at it! It's so sad this all happens :/ And awww thanks :') You're atleast just as amazing! I'm sure of that!
PD yup, sadly enough it all happens...ive also seen some videos on facebook a few years ago that PETA posted, i just stopped following them beause the stuff they post is so horrible... Thats just too sweet to hear! Thank you lots☺️✨
i never understand how people can just stand there and beat a helpless animals that god created like he created you. And i am a therian and i hate seeing my therian type being abused many times by people (im a black cat therian) and the fact that the animals still had collars on is just cruel. I have lost all faith in humanity, humans are disgusting.
Hi - My family's company is Glacier Wear. We are not a fur farm. But all fur tails that we do purchase are ethically sourced. Have questions on what that means? Please feel free to reach out directly.
I would also like to add dakotaline furs as they stated as "green" and ehtical, as tails can get, scrapped fur from trappers etc. thats really- as good as they can get, there on etsy and there tails at a good price, size, ethical. and I dont know why people thinkg glaceirwear isnt ethical, but I got a 21 inch tail from them
PD.... I didn't skip..... 😞😭💔 Im so sorry but animals dose NOT DESERVE US😭😭😭 At the start i couldn't watch this MADNESS... but i stayed to see what the reality is... THE END WAS EVEN WORSE (i won't say anything more for the people in the comments who don't want to be traumatized...) I cried at the end... But i have a question... Did you brought real fur tails by accident?? Or you though it would be a fake one and a real one arrived??? Im so sad about the animals... I wish i could just adopt some of them but i can't ... some Humans are TERRIBLE MONSTERS 😭😭😭 also thx for the video... (The whole video you've made for the tails) And actually your videos with tails are very good and helpful They are not boring Thx for this kind of video my friend...❣️
I bought a tail like 3 days ago on etsy (not here yet) but its not real. Its actually a yarn tail. And im so happy to get it. Im going to share this on therian amino to make sure they're more educated!
EVERYONE PLEASE REMBER THAT THIS IS ONLY TAILS FROM CRUEL FUR FARMS IF THEY ARE ETHICAL THEN THE ANIMAL HAS DIED NATURALLY AND IF YOU ACTIDENTALY(im not the best at spelling) BOUGHT ONE FROM A CRUEL FUR FARM DONT FEEL BAD OR THROW IT AWAY, BC YOU DIDNT KNOW.
My therian tail is unfortunately always shedding and it’s kinda bad quality, it was supposed to have a white tip on the tail apparently in the amazon photos but when it arrived it didn’t
IcyPaw Mc yep, that's why I don't claim all furfarms are bad :) in the vid I even showed the difference between my highqualitt european furfarm tail and low quality chinese furfarm tail. U can truely see the age and health of the animal in the tail hha. The european one is So nice.
NOO MY TAIL IS FROM A CRUEL FUR FARM😭 im so sad rn :( It costed 21€ and i thought thats ok and would most likely not be from a cruel fur farm But it sadly probably is Poor fox..
People are most of the problems that are going on in the world… I wish everyone had a heart like us, I want those animals to be freed from their cages and torture, so they can live in a great home. those people who throw cages of animals on the ground disgust me, those heartless people are disgusting scum deserve to be trampled into the ground
I think my sister's tail was from this cruelty. :( I'll make sure to get an eco friendly one next. If anyone bought a cruel one, maybe try to keep it, just don't by another. Or that's an animal's life completely wasted. I feel so bad.
Since I got a few tails,1 form forison, 1 form Valkyrie Allures and one was a tail I got some where in Gatlinburg(I think that how you spell it?). I loved all the tails I gotten but I want another one since of what happen to the forison one. I do like the tail I got,it was a sliver but now it like sky blue or something like that. It was nice,it look really great, smell nice and the leather was hardly seen. The one I got form Valkyrie allure was a Eco friendly fox tail. It a little bit small then the one I got at the belt/pelt store. It nice still The last tail I got is a black and blue(I have no idea what fox tail it is) it more big and fluffy. It also nice looking and I also love it. I only have two tails right now but I want one because I didn't realize the one tail I got wasn't the right one,my fault but I do want to get one form forison as to see if they are really worth to get it
I personally don't support taxidermy for multiple reasons, but i someday do want to get a real(or very realistic but fake) tail- i would get it from a local place so i know they likely didn't suffer. I'll probably still feel bad though, but it depends on perspective, at least the tail is going to someone who will mourn the life lost to get it and who won't use it as a trophy.
Know however, that taxidermy isn't the same as furfarms. If you say 'taxidermy', then it's usually a one-man business. One person, who happens to do this as a hobby and later on often decides to sell them. Taxidermy is often from roadkill or hunt or brought in by other people who are like 'hey I found this dead bird, can you make me something out of it". While furfarms are big, large scale farms litterally, full of animals being conciously bred to be then killed. Over and over again. Now some taxidermists do breed their own foxes, but this is then on a small scale and nothing like a big furfarm. Taxidermy is officially seen also a hobby. And only few make it a job. While furfarming is a true job, pure made to earn money out of.By this, especially on etsy, you'll find taxidermists who make fur tails and such out of roadkill, hunt or small presonally bred amounts. (TheWildThingsPassion by example is 100% roadkill usually. Roadkill = animals found dead on the road or in forest etc. Not hunt, not fufarm) I really recommand trying to find a local taxidermist or vulture culture collector who makes their tails 100% themselves and can guarantee you it was made from 'roadkill' (found dead in nature). Expect those to usually be a lot more expensive simply as it's more work to clean (dirty fur etc) and you won't find a 100 foxes a year. You don't need a tail tho, so it's fine not to want any. But if you do, look for roadkill I'd say.I understand what you mean.
Crap- I didn’t know Amazon has cruelty fox tails and I have 3 from Amazon, other 2 broke / aka ripped up by my dogs ;-; I AM NEVER BUYING A TAIL OFF OF AMAZON AGAIN- Unless it’s fake 100% fake. I will make sure to buy off of Etsy and only buy tails from animals that died to natural causes. I will cherish my current fox tails as I feel so bad for the animals who suffered, I will not let anything happen to them. they are safe now. Thank you for this video, as I now know amazon actually really sucks.
Don't worry about it, you can't blame yourself for something you didn't know. I myself ordered a wish tail (tho that was mainly as a test + for this research to have prove. Not a good reason I know, I feel guilty for buying a tail for something like this, making the animal die for this video. But I hope to prevent others by buying those tails, as I can show them what the results are). Just don't blame yourself, I hope for you that the tail is okay quality, and not dyed or sewn together (happens a lot, plz check the leather when you receive it. A friend of mine bought I think 4 and all 4 broke in half in less than a week. I have one sewn from wish, and one good quality one from wish) The only thing I can say, don't refuse wearing it now as you know where it comes from. Because then it died for nothing. Embrace it's life and use the tail to the most. And now you know it for next time! (I wish I made this video sooner tho, for you)
after i seen your video i went onto wish and checked the description it said it was 100% real fur.... my heart sank now i feel so sick but ill wear that tail any chance i get
Believe me, even if it said 'fake/faux fur'.. and the picture looked real.. wish, aliexpress (and amazon sometimes too) advertise real tails as fake. Almost all those real-looking fake tails are 100% real. Why they do this: by example in america there are laws that only a few specific furfarm fox breeds fur can be imported and exported, and no hunt/roadkill can be exported at all. So by saying it's fake, chinese furfarms can sell all tails to all countries worldwide without any legal troubles. :/ It's sad because not only do people often buy 'fake' tails which turn out to be real. But also as by example, real fur can't get wet (wet leather gets hard and breaks, fur can get wet but leather absolutely can't, watch my tail care guide for more info).. but people think they got fake tails, and try washing them or even put them in the wash machine. And this destroys the tail. As it was actually real. :/ very sad
yea but what kind of krewl people would stuff like 14 foxes into a cage and drop them from 19 foot, Would they do that to humans if they got paid to do it.... them people would do anything for money even kill animals
I'm actually sure they'd do that with humans if they'd be paid to do it.. china is like.. fighting for a job. That's why many kids start working at 8 years old in factories already. Earn money, as they get paid like less than a dollar per hour etc. It's horrible however. And I wouldn't be able to live if I'd had to do this with animals. Those videos are a bit cut as each video was like 5+min long. (you can find them on youtube). But they showed a lot of minks actually, in furfarms. Afterwards I ran to Koda (he is a ferret, but ferrets are related to minks and look a lot alike) and immediatly hugged him etc etc. I would never be able to threat animals like they did in the videos. I got very sad from it, because 100's of animals, just like koda (simular), are killed so cruel every day.
Poor foxes, ima questioning silver fox therian/questioning black and white cat and i have two tails that are keychain from temu, they bith show signs of being real and fake, its all i can afford sadly. I have a feeling the black one is fake since some of it is starting to look like brushed yarn but im not sure about the grey, I also hate that people always say "its from china" im british chinese and not alk tails from china are from cruel fur farms, or just real tails at all. And its also most of asia and other countries too
I got 2 tails one was 15 dollars its nice and long and fluffy and I love it but I don't know if its ethical or not because its cheap from what you said, and another was 17 dollars I haven't gotten it yet but I hope they aren't fur farms so im going to go do research
(I had to post this 4 times as i had to reword alot so sorry for the notifications) Do most therians support these by buying real animals or is it a small percentage? Thank you ^^
not exactly, there are good and bad furfarms. @flattailfurs by example is a Great american furfarm that treats her foxes amazingly well. Walking them, clipping the nails, taking sick ones on their lap, playing with the kits in the playpens etc. So buying from furfarms isn't always bad or supporting cruelty. But, a lot (nearly all) chinese furfarms (nearly all tails on amazon, aliexpres, wish and ebay) however are very cruel, beat their animals, put them in small cages, clean the cages with the animal still in with hot pressured water, break their spine to prevent them from fighting back etc etc. Often, this is seen within the fur keychain: the quality is bad, the tail is small, it stinks and the tail is usually faint in colour or dyed blue to make it look brighter and darker in colour (colour is a sign of health) so, it's very important to check the shop and seller as well as the reviews. To ensure you're buying from a humane and cruelfree furfarm.
i feel so guilty, i want to buy the tail so i can care for it and cherish what it once was apart of. and give it a better second life and a better home it makes me so sad
I honestly can't believe how awful this is..... Is it alright to buy real tails from taxidermy? And if so, how do I know it's not from cruel fur farms?
Sadly enough, amazon, wish and aliexpress are known to advertise real tails as fake. Why: by example america has laws that only a few specific furfarm fox furs can be imported and by example hunted fur cannot be exported. So technicly, china can't legally import some furs into america. So they lose sellers. But by advertising it as fake.. problem solved. :/
most fur farmers want to take good care of their animals. fur farmers don't make any money off of tails. how it works is that the farmer sells the fox wholesale to auction houses, these auction houses make the money from the fur. if the cheaper normally the farmer doesn't make money
if you are gonna buy one, be sure to read the end of the description of this vid to know which shops are good and which ones aren't as well as read this list of shops: aminoapps.com/c/officialtherian/page/item/list-of-tail-suppliers/N4r2_zl8SWI3JNKMv2NJkz6D1v3oPYZlJRYcK know where you're buying from!
Well, if you give me the name of the shop, I can quickly check for you? I know quiet a lot of shops on etsy and know which ones are cruel, not cruel, .. etc etc. So I can check for you to be sure. However Etsy is really the best place to buy tails (read my 'recommanded list' in the describtion to find other good places). And £20 is like $26. So seeing at the price.. the tail should be pretty okay. Higher prices ain't a guarantee, but usually are a lot better quality and a lot less cruel.
Sadly enough I have to inform you that this is a chinese furfarm shop. I can notice by A. the keychains, those are specificly and almost only used at either aliexpress, wish or amazon tails and any chinese furfarm tail. B. The seller is from china.. By this, this tail is most likely cruelly gained. As China has, as showed in the videos, no laws around how to treat an animal. I hope you'll care well for the tail, so it's life isn't lost. I don't recommand using this shop specificly again :/
Don't worry too much over it buddy. You can't blame yourself for something you didn't know. You know now, and now you know how to handle in the future. Enjoy this tail, and care well for it. Embrace it.
Mine was on Etsy from a shop with high reviews and it checked all the marks of being humane but it was 16-20$, the tails look large and healthy but I’m afraid it was cruel
I really suffer for animals tho and if I'm going to buy a therian tail I always buy a fake fur one because I hate animal abuse and I think of them. 🐾❤️
m o v e d yes, that shop is considered humane. Most of their stock comes from humane (population) hunt. And their furfarms are humane aswell. Enjoy the tail!

Hi im ur biggest fan i have a sticker just like ur pfp❤❤❤❤❤
"If animals could talk, humanity would cry."
That is true because I’m crying from the video !
The real human part of humanity would cry, there's also the horrible 'people' who treat animals that way.
@@Curled.Nettlei love animals but I don’t really cry when they die
Humans are animals...it would be if we understood other species.
@@AraneaTempestatumno offence, but that’s not really relevant.

Wow...for now on i will always check and go into more depth about the tail before buying it. thank you...this i heartbreaking to me
I'm glad you could learn from this video, and I thank you for doing research before buying.
Wise words! I 100% agree.
Crazy how roadkill looks better then those horrible farms..
It breaks my heart to see animals treated like that. It’s wrong and unhumane. I hate it so much! If people order tails from eBay and it turns out to be a real tail they should be upset but they should honour the animals life, be careful in future and never buy from the same seller again
I strongly agree! :/
SO STOP!
I agree
Same, like if the animal dies of natural causes, it’s fine, but killing the animal?? I still don’t understand how people do it.
It's horrible, I keep telling my friends, but they just keep buying more😢
Poor fur babys... but i have to say this
"Your not paying for a product.. your paying for an animals life" *HAPPY MUSIC PLAYS*
Rip beautiful furry babys...
I'm sorry if that was a bit of an unusal timing hehe. I hope my message came across any way for anyone who watched :/
;(
It broke my heart to watch the furfarm clip. when it got to the pups i started crying because my dog had puppies 2 weeks ago and they have long beautiful fur, and those fox pups have scruffy dirty fur, i wish i could just scoop them up and take them home..
(i only collect fur if i find it on the ground and i know that it was just shed.)
Also random story: One time we heard a howl followed along with a few yipes, im pretty sure it was a coyote or something since we do live in st. george. The next morning i went outside and fur was left on our gate, i ended keeping it and i still have it now.
I know this comment is really long and boring.. whoops.
im so happy that i found an eco friendly tail......that the coyote the tails is from lived a wild and a free life and unfortunatly died but due to natural causes (the tails hairs are really rough so i thing the animal got pretty old)
I got the same thing but a fox tail 😊
Me too!
Im so happy the animals lived their natural life without cages and abuse...
Where did u get it?
PD Yes, I appreciate that and feel very glad that I’ve been enlightened!!!
I like how you made a video on this topic. Not a lot of therians do. I own real fur tails and I have memories from my foxes life of living on a fur farm. My red fox Vince was born a killed in a fur farm and I can very much remember the experience.
Thank you so much! I found it very important to tell other people about it. I'm so sorry to hear that..
That's really sad🙁🙁🙁

If you guys are looking for uncruel tails, I recommended Amazon specific seller, forison. From my knowledge, they are hobby taxidermist. And also ursfur, I know they for sure they are taxidermist. You can tell from length, quality and price. I researched for awhile since amazon is my only source. I hope this is helpful.
Thanks a lot for helping out! I'll add these in the describtion under my recommended list too.
PD glad you found it helpful :)
I buy all of my tails from forison!
I'm happy I make my tails from yarn and not cruelty :)
Floof Fox The Therian no ur hurting the yarn! XD
@@PDTherian can u show us a yarn tail
I feel like a monster I bought my first tail just now and it’s already out for shipping… I can’t get rid of it but I will pay my respects to a abused animal who had given there life for my pleasure I will always remember the fox and take care of the tail as a promise that he gave up something I will be grateful for my entire life thank you for sharing this heart breaking video I will always remember this I know I am guilty for buying form these monsters but I can not give it back the least I can do is give the tail the best care and respect I can.
It’s okay. Everyone makes mistakes. I also made the same mistake, the best we can do is try to return it when it arrives, and pay your respects.
I feel the same. As a buddhist, it is horrifying to realize i may have purchased a fur farmed tail (the seller claims it is wild)
I will keep it and wear it.
It's just a mistake, don't worry. You are not a monster for that. As long as you don't buy one there again it's ok❤️
I'm pretty sure my fox huntress was killed by a car... because every single time a car drives by or I go in a car I get really bad anxiety. And also I've been having dreams of myself of myself as a fox and the headlights of a car coming towards me as I feel it crashing into me.
I swear I'm going to cry
I'm sorry :/
PD I'm glad you made this video I wanted a real tail go a while and I could have got it from a tortured animal if you didn't make it so THANK YOU SO MUCH
I'm glad then that I could learn you something and that you didn't buy from cruel places! :') You're very welcome. Be sure to spread the word, so that others will also know the truth behind their tail.
PD I will :)
it's disgusting how far people are willing to go for money and beauty.
I'm proud of you in that case! :) And don't worry, that's why I clearly stated how to skip it.
I got my tail from a person who only uses road kill and natural death furs
I'm proud of u!
I.. They.. how could *anybody* ever do that to poor babies like them..? I'm truly heartbroken.. shocked to my core.. i might actually cry...

As a fox therian, I COULDNT WATCH THE WHOLE FARM SCENE😢
I'm glad to hear that! :')
So go to Cherokee and look at the shops and you could find tails there :)
Edit: remember the coyote tails some times are hunted coyotes that got killed (sometimes that happens)
Very helpfull! Thank you

I wish i cound share this to therian amino! So many people don't educate them selves !!!!
You can always copy the link and paste it in a comment (then it becomas a link they have to click) or click the little + symbol through which u normally add pictures and press 'add youtube link'. Paste the link and it'll show the actual video instead of the link :)
Eitherway thank you so much!
PD eh, thats a little complicated but i might give is a try sometime
It sounds more complicated at it is really :3 Just the same as adding a picture on therian amino. But then a link instead hha.
I was reading a book one day, and I read one sentence that broke my heart, and it is just what we are talking about in here. That sentence said: "Behind every faux therian tail lies the heartbreaking truth of animals suffering in cruel fur farms, where lives are traded for fashion." Its true.
Watching the clip of how animals were treated in fur farms was absolutely outrageous. Animals should NEVER EVER be treated like that 😭
this made me cry so much. may those beautiful animals rest in peace.
I'm glad I could learn u something new! I hope to atleast help a bit by making this video :/ for the animals.
This is heart breaking but ty for sharing this I rlly want a tail BUT I have been making sure to do A LOT of research becuase I rlly rlly don’t want a real one it would break my heart if I got a real one💔
“Your not paying for a product, your paying for and animal’s life.”
*Upbeat intro plays*
Also this is really sad, but its also sad NOT to buy these tails b/c then their death are for nothing and their tails will go to waste
Kei DragonMoon I agree, i *do not* in any way shape or form condone furfarms, but not using the product from them leaves the foxes lives to waste
So much videos lately!😱 please just take good care of yourself🙏🏻💕
I will! Don't worry :3
PD sad thing is, idk how to send links and stuff- idk how to use technology but I'll try
PD I checked the description. It's real- I tried not to get a real tail. Crap.
I'm sorry to hear that. Now just take good care of it and embrace it's life so it hasn't died for nothing.
PD I feel super bad because my one is a fur farm product, I’m gonna treat it like my baby so the poor didn’t go through pain for nothing.
Holy shit stuff usually doesn’t trigger me but, dude, holy shit
I love that you say sheep tails and not cheep tail its great
Thank you very much.
Me too! 💖😊
Im reaaally sad, cause most of the sites that were shown are unavailable and in my country $200 dollars are like 700 or 1000, i cant spend that on a tail. Sadly the only affordable tails are on ebay and amazon, but i wont buy from fur farms.. Is there any other way or site?

This just made me think about; In an alternate universe, is there one where animals wore human hairs and put humans in hairfarms?
i never understand how people can just stand there and beat a helpless animals that god created like he created you. And i am a therian and i hate seeing my therian type being abused many times by people (im a black cat therian) and the fact that the animals still had collars on is just cruel. I have lost all faith in humanity, humans are disgusting.

I know I’m 5 years late.. but I have a question! Do forsion tails come from cruel fur farms?
I think my sister's tail was from this cruelty. :(
I'll make sure to get an eco friendly one next.
It nice still
The last tail I got is a black and blue(I have no idea what fox tail it is) it more big and fluffy. It also nice looking and I also love it.
I only have two tails right now but I want one because I didn't realize the one tail I got wasn't the right one,my fault but I do want to get one form forison as to see if they are really worth to get it
This killed me inside, I accidentally got a real one and now feel like I committed 1000 crimes
Completely changed my point of view. I will be removing items from my cart on amazon
My bestie got me a cruel furfarm racoon tail, but she did not know it, so ill just wear it in memory of the racoon 3:!
i thought i could watch it. i was very wrong. omg im going way more in depth about where i get my tails now
I personally don't support taxidermy for multiple reasons, but i someday do want to get a real(or very realistic but fake) tail- i would get it from a local place so i know they likely didn't suffer.
Not hunt, not fufarm)
I really recommand trying to find a local taxidermist or vulture culture collector who makes their tails 100% themselves and can guarantee you it was made from 'roadkill' (found dead in nature).
Thank you for this video, as I now know amazon actually really sucks.
i got a cruel fur tail off of etsy by mistake. the listing lied. its ever so tragic what cruel farms do. 😢

I have one sewn from wish, and one good quality one from wish)
The only thing I can say, don't refuse wearing it now as you know where it comes from.
I have a feeling the black one is fake since some of it is starting to look like brushed yarn but im not sure about the grey,
I also hate that people always say "its from china" im british chinese and not alk tails from china are from cruel fur farms, or just real tails at all.
(I had to post this 4 times as i had to reword alot so sorry for the notifications)
Do most therians support these by buying real animals or is it a small percentage?
Often, this is seen within the fur keychain: the quality is bad, the tail is small, it stinks and the tail is usually faint in colour or dyed blue to make it look brighter and darker in colour (colour is a sign of health)
so, it's very important to check the shop and seller as well as the reviews. To ensure you're buying from a humane and cruelfree furfarm.
Wait is glacier wear a good place for tails? I got my coyote tail from them. It was around $3 but the tail looks very healthy?
I have no personal experience but should be fine! Quiet a lot purchase their fur there. eitherway coyote fur comes from hunt, not from furfarms
i feel so guilty, i want to buy the tail so i can care for it and cherish what it once was apart of. and give it a better second life and a better home it makes me so sad
I honestly can't believe how awful this is..... Is it alright to buy real tails from taxidermy? And if so, how do I know it's not from cruel fur farms?
I got mine off of amazon and it broke, after taking a closer look, figured out it was real, while being advertised as faux fur 😫
I bought a tail in belgium in a festival for 25 (EUROS) and it looks healthy, and strong hopefully it had a bit of a good life :)
;_; PD Thanks for telling me
You're always welcome! :)
That crate full of cats broke my heart I hate humanatity
imagine that a therian died in there and someone buys their tail...
UM I was just wondering if I can buy until on eBay without it being from a cruel fur farm because I found one on eBay for $10 and it's black
eBay is a no-go because it’s an Asian site. Avoid it if u can bc it’s most likely a cruel fur farm tail :)
My tails are completely safe. I bought them from someone who found it dead!
I felt so sad watching the animals suffer… just for a tail or fur?
This is why I make yarn tails..
Imagine being a therian with a past life of a fox who died in a cruel fur farm and want cared for 🥺🥺🥺
I get mine from a military base store and from an army barracks store
That's why I do my research before buying meh tail. I only buy eco friendly ones. Not ones who have been hunted or fur farmed.
Do you know of any eco friendly ones on Amazon? :D
BURN..IN..HELL.. the ppl who abused those poor animals!!
:/
the dislikes came from people that hated animals
most fur farmers want to take good care of their animals. fur farmers don't make any money off of tails. how it works is that the farmer sells the fox wholesale to auction houses, these auction houses make the money from the fur. if the cheaper normally the farmer doesn't make money
I'm going to cry why did this happen whyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!
Humans..
There u got ur answer :/
Oh no. I was gonna buy one. What should I do??
if you are gonna buy one, be sure to read the end of the description of this vid to know which shops are good and which ones aren't as well as read this list of shops: aminoapps.com/c/officialtherian/page/item/list-of-tail-suppliers/N4r2_zl8SWI3JNKMv2NJkz6D1v3oPYZlJRYcK know where you're buying from!
PD thanks!!
This is why I use fake fur and faux fur
I'm proud of u! :)
I'm proud of u! :)
Thx I can’t stand of supporting people who cut of animals tails for money
I agree with you!
I:)
I bought a tail today before I watched this for £20 on etsy but now I don't know if I made the right descision.. What is your opinion?
Well, if you give me the name of the shop, I can quickly check for you? I know quiet a lot of shops on etsy and know which ones are cruel, not cruel, .. etc etc. So I can check for you to be sure.
However Etsy is really the best place to buy tails (read my 'recommanded list' in the describtion to find other good places). And £20 is like $26. So seeing at the price.. the tail should be pretty okay. Higher prices ain't a guarantee, but usually are a lot better quality and a lot less cruel.
PD Thank you and the shops name was "foxlovesitstail" I think.
PD Nooo, I feel so bad now but I will make sure to care for the tail so it at least it's death wasn't for nothing... imma go cry in a corner now.
Don't worry too much over it buddy. You can't blame yourself for something you didn't know. You know now, and now you know how to handle in the future.
Enjoy this tail, and care well for it. Embrace it.
Mine was on Etsy from a shop with high reviews and it checked all the marks of being humane but it was 16-20$, the tails look large and healthy but I’m afraid it was cruel
what shop?
hii sorry i was at a firends house so could not keep up with vids
It's okay! :)
I really suffer for animals tho and if I'm going to buy a therian tail I always buy a fake fur one because I hate animal abuse and I think of them. 🐾❤️
Is Glacierwear.com humane? I got a bobcat tail from there and it seemed very well taken care of.
m o v e d yes, that shop is considered humane. Most of their stock comes from humane (population) hunt. And their furfarms are humane aswell.
Enjoy the tail!
