I got stuck in almost the same spot, took me 21 minutes to solve this one. Once I saw the 9's lining up in boxes 7 and 9 I got the nine in box 8, then the 8 in box 9. From there the puzzle went quick.
Amazing! I thought this was a semi-easy one... Already at 3:35 you marked 9s in B9 which later lined up with 9s in B7. At 8:48 you got your 3 in B7 which then resulted the lined up 9s (R7&R9) in the bottom stack. That reveales a 9 in B8. I think that was the key spot. At least I didn't get stuck at any point. Was able to solve this one with my regular morning coffee. I was amazed when I saw how long your video was (and the headline)...
I was stuck on the same spot, found the 9 in row 8 using the pointing 9s in box 3 which then left only one place for the 8 in row 8 and that solved it. took me longer than usual
Same. To my shame, I found the 9 in B8, (by the aligning 9s in B7 and 9), then for the longest time failed to properly follow up and spot the pointing 8s in box 8. Almost declared defeat, but when Rangsk got stuck finding the 9 I picked it up again. Biting my tongue, but Rangsk knows what I want to say...
@@HotelPapa100 As you say, the 9 in box 7 was available from very early on in the puzzle . Still took me 35m to complete. As the saying goes 'it's what you see and when you see it'.
Nice one Rangsk. Often get in this position and almost restart. In the initial solve, the x wings on 9 would have helped in boxes 7 and 9. I think there were a few x wings.
17:43 for me. In reading the comments, I must have gotten lucky spotting a couple of pairs and triples early on. I’m at best a mediocre solver timewise, so this was fun for me.
Even when you re-scanned you never saw how the 9s act in B3 - giving you the pointing 9s and further giving you the 9s in B9 - which then lined up with the 9s in B7.
I got stuck as hell on this one, watched your video, and from your grid at 17 minutes, I saw the X-wing on 9s and felt like a doofus. I had that in my grid forever and just didn't see it, but for some reason, I saw it on your grid.
It took me over an hour. I was relieved that I wasn’t the only one who struggled with this one!

Exact same solution for me. Took too long to see those 9s line up!
Those 9s were the crucial key and so obvious, once I read your post. I had them marked up already but just wasn't looking.

My trick for getting out of this kind of jam is highlighting where each digit can go in every box so the geometry is clear to me.

You broke it for me when you showed the 89 pair in row 8 (@ 37:00). I already had 9s corner marked in block 3. That's what you were missing.

25 for me, missed pointing eights in row 7, thanks rangsk!

I wish I'd seen it! It was sitting there for quite some time
6.01.. Found the singles quite easy
During the original solve you had cornered marked 9s lining up in boxes 7 and 9 which would've gave u the 9 in row 8
9:12 to solve.
9:53 for me. Not too bad today.
21:08 for me which is about twice normal so I thought it was tough
10:53. Relieved, mostly.
18:07
Don’t feel that bad afterwards.. i struggle with this puzzle also.
I don't feel bad with my 50+ min solve now. Finally found the 9 and 8 in row 8 and the puzzle gave itself up.
