The world is in an undeniable and seemingly perpetual state of crisis. Systemic racism, wealth inequality, and genocidal wars continue to suppress our humanity and curtail equal opportunity for all, and the climate crisis remains largely unabated and continually fueled by the greed and apathy of the pecuniary giants birthed from the inequity of unfettered capitalism. The white-supremacist, fascist, and ethno-nationalist movements across the planet appear as the culmination of years of unbridled words of hatred and division, come once again to violent fruition. However, in spite of all this, we must continue the fight so that the fruit of our many labors might be realized, for "we will sail across the seven seas, we will stem the tide of hate and rapacity, we will shout from valley and from peak, until we live in peaceful harmony."
Though written nearly four years ago, this song is for all humanity, for all time. Through it, I wanted to speak to the monumental, primordial struggle for equality that spans the course of human history. The great seas and oceans of the earth were once seen as a great obstacle to overcome, hence the metaphor. But as the seas were tamed, and the land cultivated, we began to look around at who we are and what we are. There was nowhere left to hide from the more grotesque aspects of our existence, no glory left to be found, and so there were those that began to step forward and illuminate those darker corners of the social paradigms we create and rediscover those bright spots spanning the entirety of the anthropological record from prehistoric peoples to the modern day, stamped out by colonial conquests but never fully erased from our minds. Let us revere the new pioneers and the old, those warriors for justice that are building new realities, boldly standing on infirm ground, ground that deserves to be made firm by the love and affirmation of those that follow.
So despite the hardships we face, cheers to our journey on space-ship earth, sailing inexorably across the cosmos with the most peculiar creatures the known universe has ever seen. Let’s make our mark a good one, one that may be observed with reverence by yet unknown life to come.
    Lyrics:
    I am a nomad
    I’ll walk this noble land
I’ll trace the seven seas to find my heart’s desire
    I am a soldier
    I will not hesitate
I’ll fight for good and right until my dying day
I will sail across the seven seas
I will climb to every mountain peak
I will run through valley and through stream
Till I find the life that I seek
    I’ll take my rapier
    And stand before the man
Who doesn’t give a damn, as his bloody scams, destroy the people’s land
    I will stand tall
    On my own two feet
And fight the greed and misery that plagues society
I will sail across the seven seas
I will find the Garden of the Hesperides
I will fight with the might of Hercules
And bear its fruit for all the world to see
    When silence hits your ear
    When justice fades away
We’ll march against those bloody racist, fascist men
    And when they turn away
    To ignore the people here
We’ll speak the truth until we mend this broken world
I will sail across the seven seas
I will take your hand and walk that bloody street
I won’t run when the bullets and gas tanks fly
We will stand and cry as tears fill our eyes
    When forests stand ablaze
In the face of man’s mistake
We’ll fight the pecuniary giants with sling and rock in hand
    As rubbish fills the world
    And sterling wins the day
We’ll take our planet back from here to Paraguay
I will sail across the seven seas
I will sit beneath the eternal Banyan tree
I will give its empty seeds to sow
And from that nothing will a mighty Banyan grow
And to my brothers and sisters around
We cannot wait for our fathers and our mothers
To do what is right for the good of our world
The time has come to stand on our own
The time has come to tell them no
The time has come to change our ways
Or there'll be nothing left, but fear and death, in this land that we call home
So we’ll sail across the seven seas
We will stem the tide of hate and rapacity
We will shout from valley and from peak
Until we live in peace and harmony
So we’ll sail across the seven seas
We will stem the tide of hate and rapacity
We will shout from valley and from peak
Until we live in peace and harmony
