Glad I'm not the only diehard. I still love the way his truck looks, but if he did a facelift, yes, I say go with the 2019....I think it could be made to look mean like the current truck. On another note.....I think Chevy should team with Robby to build a factory Raptor fighter....
DRT71 totally agree with you bud, chevy needs to step in into the ring, I bet robby has reached out to them, since he is known to partner with big companies like textron with the new wildcat and, polaris with the rzr. If chevy wants to battle the ford raptor, they need to get in it with the one and only Robby 77 Gordon.

I love Robby's work, but it's always somebody else's fault he didn't come in first. People who win consistently say, "Yes, there were some factors out of my control, but here's the list of things I can change and improve on."
It's called editing. Adds to the entertainment value of the video, even though it's a little bit "fake." The kids like the engine noise and so do some adults. I enjoyed the video, how about you? Robby has said it many times, "Racing is being in the entertainment business." Also, note that no matter how realistic a video may seem to you, it has been edited to some degree. Every video has a purpose.. Every video tells a story. Note how Robby tells you about certain events related to the race, and not others. He's story telling.
Robby's TT has a unique sound. I think it's a combination of the high exhaust location and I think it's geared higher than most TT's today. I also think Robby still runs a Chevy LS based engine, where most others use the Ford M series engine. I bet Robby has less cubic-inches too. This truck is dated for sure, but obviously Robby likes running it. I have to think that he likes how it drives. It's a unique mid engine placement.
