Watching Robbie Gordon do Baja brings me back to when I was younger and watching Ivan ( Iron Man ) Stewart doing Baja now if that dont show my age Ivan Iron Man was a good off road racer as well Ribbie Gordon Thier skill set is Awesome
So well done. Thank you. Some Robby and Max audio during the race would be the icing on the cake. Even if it was, "How ya hang'n?" To me it looked like Robby drove well to conserve the truck. Nothing like how he drives in a qualifying loop. Was Robby fast in this 500? Was he gaining time? The Unicorn is an awesome truck, but there are a lot of fast TT's these days. Remember when Robby shared the 1000 with Creed, and Sheldon tore the light bar off? I'm sure Young Sheldon was hard on that truck that year. He was lucky to make to the pit.
See you in November Robby. We are beefing up our pro 2 to come run spec tt. You're videos are now and will continue to be a good example for those in desert racing.
it's probably 4130 chromoly & that's it's main down side. Fatigue fractures and even stress risers from scratches cause cracks to develop. .. On aircraft, using a thin brittle paint will crack & flake showing if you have a area that sees fatigue .
Love RGs old school I-beam prerunner. Saw it the first time I ever went to an off road race. Think it was GT Bicylces old truck or something that is eluding me.
Great shots, great editing. What a crazy breakage. Will the trailing arm design see a change or get beefed up in that section after this or was it just a fluke?
It was a fluke. If you slam the hydraulic bump stop too hard it will bend behind the strut mount. We have this issue with our pro 2. We've gone from 11 gauge sheet steel to 9 and now our suspension doesn't work as good because of the extra unsprung weight. It's a fine line between durability and performance.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful moment, just keep going, the young guy is living a dream and will continue on. Crazy somebodey told me, i think it's normal. It's what you like.
This might be a dumb question but is the engine behind them and if it is there doesn't seem to be enough room for a driveshaft. Wondering how it's connected to the differentials
Yeah I've said it before and I'll say it again. Those AWD Trophy trucks are sure gonna have a lot of teething pains to get through..... They'll get them ironed out eventually but even though the two wheel drive trucks might be as fast everywhere at least they last everywhere. Before you finish 1st you must 1st finish.
When that kid is 16 I wouldn't be surprised if hes got a baja 500 or 1000 win under his belt I mean his dad is no other then Robbie Gordon you cant expect less
Someone needs to make an really good quality RC of this truck. There is one but it is a cheapo piece of junk. Very cool video. Breaking that Trailer Arm stinks.
Racers gonna race. At least go to a moto video for that comment. Leaving you kid with the neighborhood druggies is far more dangerous. Max behind the wheel will be more dangerous for a while. 200 mph road and circle cars is probably more dangerous. Who knows. Racers take that risk.
You should leave your house more often. There are racing series all over the world with teenagers in open wheeled single seaters. Sitting in that truck and learning from his Dad is priceless, next time just click the next vid and move along you have no clue.
Been a fan of Robby for better than 20yrs !!! Awesome to see him with a world class kid !!!
Living the dream Robby. Just being out there with my kid “priceless”.
My heart races just watching this, I can't imagine what it's like driving like that in the desert, must be a blast.
I agree Jared!
First day of school , one of Max's classmates asks " What did you do this summer ? " Max , " Hung out with my dad "
This is called Summer School.
must be nice xD
what am i saying? ofc it is
Sorry the truck broke, but a awesome video and a great job Robbie & Max 👍💯 Max, you looked calm, cool and in control 👍👍
Whoever did the edit needs an award. Clean lines, and good speed, unfortunate equipment failure. That's racing.
I did It Gracias for share that opinion about my work

You stole my words. Well said
The good thing is that both of you are safe ✌️
fricken badass for Max!!! And learning from your dad...the MAN-Robby Gordon!! Outstanding!!
Robby is the reason I love off road racing awesome to see Max with Robby. Robby is the most exciting driver in my opinion always Fast and very smooth.
Robby and Max 👍💪🤘
I’m thinking this guy is definitely living his dream. Got his son by his side! 😎
Go Max! Keep your dad on point.
That suspension is amazing!! Super 'trick' truck!!
Thanks for the ride hope it gets better

max is a great driver now i cant wait to see him in 10 more yrs he will be the guy to beat
He'll be at the top in less than 3 yrs 👍

Que buenas tomas, me encanto la edición🤍
Shuqushuqu
Whoop it Real Good. Always adrenalin out watching Robby 🤸♂️
how Cool is this father & son IF Max is 1/2 as good as a driver down the road as his day he is already a legend Luv it
R-G-N-M-G GREAT JOB....
Love RGs old school I-beam prerunner. Saw it the first time I ever went to an off road race. Think it was GT Bicylces old truck or something that is eluding me.
These guys sure have found the best and funnest way to collect dust!
A whole new touch on " taking your kid to work day" 👍
Fantástico!! 👍👍🇪🇦🇦🇷
Max "Speed" Gordon. Dad's going to have to watch out in a couple years!
Max should use one of the offroad trucks when he gets his driver's license.
You don't need a license
@@secret222 To get his license at the DMV. The kid is 13 or 14?.
Thanks Robby /It's Bad Ass n You Guy's Rock Driving you still got it !
I need a truck like that on my farm.great driving skills.
Great shots, great editing. What a crazy breakage. Will the trailing arm design see a change or get beefed up in that section after this or was it just a fluke?
I'd just beef her up considering how much power you have
it's getting re-designed.. All Good

@@psychomonkeyinc thanks. that explains the re-design too
That was a good race

great vid thanx !! go gordons !! ;-()
This Robbie Gordon guy is pretty impressive behind the wheel. He should consider a career in racing!
You jest
Great vid. Thanks RG
I gotta get me some of those tires!
How does your Baja truck differ from your Stadium truck?
Just like it sounds one for cmgoing around in circles for stadium and one for open desert 🤔🤔 just like its sounds iam pretty sure
There's only one of these unicorn trucks total
off-road racing is the best! the trucks are sooo cool. and can robby adopt me? need to go racing...
Loved every second until the trailing arm gave out!
Yep!
Very cool...................... 👍👍👍
He’s definitely robby’s son! Looks like a mini me of robby Gordon! Lol
Kool vid though as always!!!
The man.
Press the button, Max !
,,INCRÍVEL...ESPETACULAR....
Sounds gooood.
Robby gordon is amazing
This might be a dumb question but is the engine behind them and if it is there doesn't seem to be enough room for a driveshaft. Wondering how it's connected to the differentials
Badass!!!
what size are the toyo's you are running Robby?
Robby Maybe you could put a speedometer up front so the fans can realize the speed you are going, love your racing.
Damm that's gotta be so kool to do and that your Dad is Robbie Gordon too n get a chance to be beside him doing Baja dammit just Kool.. 😜 👍👍👍😎✌👋
Robbie + Jeff = Max Gordon
How do you get back to a pit stop for help?
สุดๆ
5:17 gliding over the rough road
Nothin like home schooling your kid.
Yeah I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Those AWD Trophy trucks are sure gonna have a lot of teething pains to get through..... They'll get them ironed out eventually but even though the two wheel drive trucks might be as fast everywhere at least they last everywhere.

Bad Ass
Legend
Ad Ass!
Every truck manufacture should give robby a truck to test out....we know he can break them.....just how much
Wooow 👍
Should wear hand device?
Why were those people blocking the road?
max gordon...in school of champions.
Woww, the excact looks of his father.
When that kid is 16 I wouldn't be surprised if hes got a baja 500 or 1000 win under his belt I mean his dad is no other then Robbie Gordon you cant expect less
Now I know why you went with Kibbetechs arms.
high compression on that engine!
Robby's really slowed down recently with his son riding Co-Pilot.
Hell yeah. Hope to see u in couple years driving ur daddys toy in baja.
Be safe and enjoy the best rides in the world. (Baja). 👍
Time to put a Mileage limit on some parts.
Robby, go to Dakar!!!
👊
Someone needs to make an really good quality RC of this truck. There is one but it is a cheapo piece of junk. Very cool video. Breaking that Trailer Arm stinks.
How'd you talk Mom into this ?
...not !? ;-)
He didn't but there's one thing you learn. Ask for forgiveness than permission
To me the only thing that would be more of a rush than sitting in the drivers seat would be in the passenger seat and being completely out of control
Son as copilot: 0,6 seconds slower per mille
Why doesn't he run 26 tall bro rims with low profile nitto MTs'... ???
Essa carroça esta muito pesada!!! Fica a dica.
Love the attitude. Tried your best, just didn’t work out this time. Perhaps next time.
Seams Robby Gordon finds the weak link in equipment
All I'm saying is if i welded that it wouldn't have broke.
we allways have footage available for sale on different locations on all baja races
😎💪👍🇻🇪
Won’t happen again thanks to kibbe
Chido eres cabron felicidades
O carro pode ser bom, mas, o piloto tem que melhor!
P 😔😔
Pity that trucks so ugly
why the stupidddd music?
Do not do it, it is too dangerous, you could hit people on the way, do not teach children to be risky, aggressive and selfish person.
Ahh yes don't let children race if they want too plus the last non driver fatality in the Baja 500 was in 2016
What a awful and irresponsible parent driving like that with his kid in the truck.
This isn’t just out for a Sunday drive.
Someone’s dad didn’t hug him. It’s ok. Mine didn’t either.
That's literally how the truck is meant to be driven plus his son drives one too
Putting his son in this kind of danger is stupidity at its finest
And you wear a mask when driving alone because of covid fear
Ok Boomer

Also you are aware Max drives trucks and UTV's professionally already, right?
