I’ll never understand how Jon can be so intelligent, well-spoken, disciplined, and easygoing ... yet, be involved in so many shenanigans.
Some men have a self destructive gene. I am not trying to compare myself to Jon (although my name is Jon lol) cause he’s a world champion athlete. But I have a great life and every time I reach a peak I somehow enter this self destructive phase. The last battle I had was with cocaine. I never enjoyed anything about the drug, and it was destroying my life, but for some reason I kept doing it. Hard to explain but just saying I can relate to a guy like Jon who has it all, and something deep inside him aches to ruin it all
A great life sometimes feels boring. Doing self destructive stuff is a way to rattle the golden cage and get some fresh dopamine I guess 🤷♂️
Because you don’t have real life experience and probably have been sheltered your whole life.
He has the calm demeanor of a psychopath , good that he takes most of this persona to the Octagon
@@vishalparihar1230 he has the calm demeanor of a calm person. what kind of bullshit is that psychopath thing? come on.
Love the part where Jon talks about not doing commentary because it would give his opponents an idea of how he thinks. That is super deep and tactically minded. True champion.
So underrated, such a great fight IQ
Lol it would show everyone what a psychopath he is. Eventually it would slip out
UnEARTHLY BASED
@@Webbydirka fight IQ like this starts years before you fight an opponent. Wow this is intense as fuck!!!! Dude is a REAL fighter
It's more than just the long arms
He seems like a legitimately cool guy when in a comfortable atmosphere with people he likes. This interview has changed my perception of him a little bit
Same, this is the truest you’ll see him portray himself
Couldn’t agree more.
After I saw him on Rogan’s podcast … That *completely* changed the way I thought of him. I could always tell, just from how he fights, that he’s smart/has a high “Fight IQ”;
But I didn’t realize that he’s legitimately, _extremely_ intelligent.
He’s also really articulate/well-spoken, thoughtful, analytical, etc.
He definitely doesn’t have the kind of personality that you would expect, after all the things that he’s been involved in.
It seems like *A LOT* of the best fighters are intelligent.
Adesanya, Yan, Poirier, Volkanovski, Moreno, Gane, Whittaker, Edwards, Cormier, Khabib, DJ, GSP, Aldo, Fedor, Cro Cop, Cruz, Conor, Mir, …
They’re all intelligent.
And you can tell-even if you only see them fight, and never actually heard them speak outside of that.
Even boxers-seem the same:
Ali, Tyson, Mayweather, Leonard, Robinson, Klitschko, Manny, Ward, Bradley, Foreman, Hopkins, Lewis, Lomachenko, Inoue, Spence, Marquez, Usyk, Algieri …
They all seem like they’re intelligent.
I never in a million years would’ve thought Tyson was anything other than an absolute moron; But after listening to him in interviews, watching his documentary, etc. etc…
He’s actually really thoughtful/philosophical to the point that I was kind of shocked.
lmao
this comment aged as well as buttermilk. Jon “wifebeater-bones” Jones is a danger to the people around him. Thats good in a ring, but terrible for his wife/kids and their physical wellbeing.
@@scoopstacey3112 yeah, I feel like an idiot now after making that comment. Haha, I should've known better. I got fooled, again...I hope he gets better and gets his shit together though.
I can’t believe I’m listening to Steve O talk about health and safety measures twenty years after I saw him shove a Hook in his mouth like a damn fish.
Why can’t you believe it? That’s a lot of time to evolve my guy, you need more faith in humans yo
Even Steveo would probably agree, I didn't even think he'd be alive today
When i was 18 I watched him staple his nutsack to his thigh and have a fireball shot off his head live. I got him to sign my DVD cover in his own blood and right after he hit me in the nuts. 15 or so years later I've grown up and so has he, and it's wonderful to see him so happy and healthy and still having adventures. Look at Bam and see what he could have become.
You forgot to mention he was using himself as bait for sharks 🦈 🤣
Seeing Jon Jones with someone he actually likes and doesn't HAVE to do the interview with is so cool. He acts so funny and different rather than watching what he says and being ultra serious with Ariel Helwani or Press Conferences.
I agree I use to hate Jon because of all the DC drama and the pico's but wow he seems so down to earth and genuine. I would love to see more of this Jon
Why not be the same with a ufc camera in his face? He acts like a sociopath in pressers. Just be your self.....
I I think we
Like he said he really likes Steve and respects him for everything he did for his charity
Ariel Helwani is a clown
This was one of the best Jon Jones interviews I've seen.
I haven't seen many of his interviews but I can't imagine any at all being better than this
Love John Jones he is the goat pay him!!!
Agree
he must have hired a great acting coach!
An Olympic sized pool!! Haha
Bones is super comfortable because Steve O has done crazy shit like him, as a addict myself I can relate when someone else knows what it’s like I get along with em so much better
Not all addicts hit and run pregnant women, not all addicts are cheaters, liars, snitches. Jon Jones is all of that. Addiction really has nothing to do with just being a total piece of shit.
addicts unite🙌
They have the same brain u know? Feels like u found your tribe. It's a great feeling
You shouldn't be proud
That’s called mental illness, people who self sabotage themselves even though everything is great are probably schizophrenics
I’ve watch alot, if not all of jons interviews, and this is the most comfortable I’ve ever seen him. Super cool!
There is no god
Steve os right man reminds me of will ferrel

Steve-0 is just such a pure soul. Drama free. Judgment free. Absolutely open to talk about anything, will admit anything, and has no ego. Just a great person to be around
@@BoiledMilkSteak7 Ur life is sorry lol wanna be troll but u get no reactions what a pos lmao
This is amazing. It’s cool that Jon had his guard down for this. He’s obviously really comfortable being around Steve.
Jon jones is a sociopath,
@Mixedhero Jon Jones does show a lot of traits a sociopath has, but he's still the GOAT.
He definitely took steroids though
He knows Steve-Os standup game is weak.
@@anthonini66 After all that's been said in the thread you come out with that...thank you lmao 😂 👍
Best Jon's interview I've ever seen.
I have to be honest. I've never liked Jones ever.. but seeing him with Steve hearing how passionate he is and how he actually has felt in his life. I've changed my mind. He's obviously fighting demons but is influenced by the right ones and gets rewarded by his choices he sees that. But no matter how many demons try he prevails and something out there is clearly watching over him. I wish I had that power and being. He seems genuine and kind hearted. All the best jones for the future in and out of the octagon will be following you on your journey from now on as a fan and someone who has been inspired! from a fan in new Zealand!
hes always been a good dude he is just a regular dude who wants reasonable things for the world and he likes to get fucked up and have fun from time to time just like me or u or alot of other people
Yeah people tend to think celebs should be perfect for whatever.

He was comfortable with Rogan but he brought his publicist which sucked

This podcast is so raw and good. Also, Jon Jones thinks on another level than most of his peers.
Best Jon Jones interview of all time. Steve-O makes him real comfortable and got him to completely open up. Dope to see!
I freaking love seeing Jon like this. He is right, it's nice to see him in a different light. I feel like we don't really know anything about him other than his fights and the negative stuff from the media.
Jones has always been my favorite, I never turned my back when he was going through shit...how can you not like this guy?
This is definitely a different insight into the personality of John Jones I like him as a fighter and I think he's the best to ever do it...
But he always rubs me the wrong way in interviews and how he comes across as arrogant but at the same time preaches about God it just seems fake..
But I separate the two I don't have to like someone to consider them the best and enjoy their fights
Daniel Cormier has a reason not to...
@I OFFER YOU THIS is he officially diagnosed with sociopathy ? Or is it just the way you see him ?
@@schteveriley He didn't purposely try to fucking kill her. All that other shit is show biz

Jon Jones being on a show called “Wild Ride” is nuts! Lol

Very fitting.
This was the most chill and natural sit down I've ever seen with Jon,
Felt like you were in the room hanging with them. 👍
This was a juicy episode! They just keep getting better and better. You and Scott really had your heads in the game on this interview! And Jon Jones seems like a super down to earth dude! Great show guys!
Stevie Wattz haha... Jon Jones down to earth. Lmao 🤣
Jon Jones is a sociopath, 100%, and if you can't see this, you're either very uneducated on the matter or totally naive.
@@bs1820 have you ever met him personally or you just hating like a crackhead?
@@bs1820 the mask he wears is down to earth, the character he plays may be down to earth, he is a sociopath who calculates and plans how people perceive him. Its also a big reason he is such a good fighter...
@Chiku N
Yep, you don't understand sociopathy. Nothing about Jones is authentic. It's all an act. The eyes are the biggest giveaway. There's nothing behind them which matches his statements or reactions.
great to see Jon Jones in an interview after a very long time. we Love you Jon. the message is coming all the way from South Africa.
This is a hard-hitting interview. Stevo asks the questions that is on everybody's mind, like telling him that people are seeing him as more human in his last two fights. If Joe Rogan were conducting this interview there would be an hour conversation about nutrition and training camps and it would put everyone to sleep.
Definitely agree about the Joe Rogan comment... the guy loves to talk about nutrition and training and it's just like: why not focus on your interviewee? Like we're here to listen to their story, I do not care about your nutrition advice.
Joe probably asks those questions on behalf of young aspiring martial artists who can gain an understanding of how the professionals do it.
@@mitch4212 maybe, i think he's probably just personally interested in it. his podcast has almost always had a 'bros sitting and bullshitting' atmosphere because that's how it started, and if he's a martial artist himself, commentates for the UFC, is friends with many of the fighters, and is interviewing a UFC championship, it just makes sense that they would talk about shit they are both interested in and want to discuss
I have a lot of issues with joe and his podcast personally, but him talking about shit he understands and is interested in personally and professionally is not one of them lol. i know you're not complaining about the content, but i just wanted to mention that because other people are. i don't think he puts as much thought into his interviews as he probably should regarding what people outside of the room, especially the audience, might be hearing. that's one of my criticisms of him but it's also a big part of what allows him to have unreserved and interesting conversations
@@deensama7718 as a massive jre fan i have to say i agree. steve-o got the best interview out of jbj anyone couldve gotten because he caters to the audience, not to say joe doesnt but like you say a lot of it seems like stuff that interests joe

Bones used to have Nike & Gatorade sponsors, he could of retired a long time ago...if his demons never came out but we all got them brother. Steve-O WAS the poster boy for partying NOW he is the poster boy for sobriety. Keep going brother, “One day at a time”
Does anyone else notice Jon jones fighting tears in this episode, the media has dragged this man through the mud and I can feel it, I feel bad for him.
Gotta love how the pup is just passed out on top of Jon and he is all good with it.
Tough spot for Steve-O to be in as an interviewer on the contract negotiation topic - with him being a fan of UFC, and friends with both Dana and Jon. But super entertaining to watch haha.
I just wish jon Jones would stop making me like him.
He doesn't make people like him, he's just a likeable dude.
Hes the opposite to a nice dude 🤣🤣 hes a legit sociopath who manages to fool people like you, I'd say people are manipulating yee on a regular basis hahaha
He's a master manipulator. Sociopaths are charming.
There’s a difference between being a likeable dude having a likeable personality and a ton of charisma to making terrible choices in life

Jon Jones is one of the least genuine people on earth. What have u been smoking. I love him as a fighter but he is a full on sociopath. If cameras are rolling and he's sober he is the opposite of genuine. After choking Machida brutally his coach tells him basically go pretend to care people are watching lol. Both men are entertainers, but human beings at the end of the day. They’ve both achieved success at a high level, and engaged in the fun that comes with it.
