In "You and I" you can see the spider queen coming for Yoohyeon. I highly recommend to check out the dance practice as well, because Dami does something very special that didn't make it into the MV. "What" is still in my top 3 favorite title tracks. It's heavy for a Korean release and I love the syncopation in the second half of the chorus. Story-wise this is the first time they wear non-uniform outfits, which I believe is because they lost Yoohyeon (or at least her spirit) and are kind of broken. You can also see them search for her alone, not as a group. For me this is a song about the loss of a loved one and what that does to a group or family. I might be reaching, but this is the meaning for me. "Piri" is the last part of the Nightmare Arc (their Japanese release "Breaking out" can be seen as an alternative ending). In "What", the girls have been searching for Yoohyeon, and here they find each other again, but in the end they are all stuck in the white dimension. A Piri is a Korean flute that was used historically to signal danger, and that is what Yoohyeon does here when the members arrive. She is the one capturing them one by one, to rescue them and bring them to safety. They are together in the end, but still stuck. Dreamcatcher don't do happy endings. 😉

They and their producers are masters at combining their soft beautiful vocals with the hard hitting instrumentals which always gives their music a very dynamic feeling. If you're not aware, they just announced their comeback for May. They'll be releasing the follow up to Vision and the final part of the Apocalypse Trilogy. I don't think you've seen Deja Vu or BEcause yet and those are both stand alone titles that are not tied to any overarching storylines. Your interpretation of Piri is pretty spot on. They have a Japanese track, Breaking Out, that's an alternate ending to the Nightmare series that's a little happier.
