- I'm asked ALL the time by media HOW much does it cost to feed your family per meal and my answer always is 'I don't know' it depends on the markdowns I find and that determines what we eat. So for a whole month I worked out 'what's for dinner' and 'how much does it cost us' per meal and per night.

Nice meals but the costs are only achievable in areas with supermarkets that do markdowns, it’s not possible for everyone unfortunately.
So I feel that you have missed my point… I said I have challenged myself for my family. We don’t eat the same as others due to sensory and texture needs so I don’t feel that I can shop and share meals for others as I don’t enjoy a lot of foods

I portion control and most are quite full each meal so really it’s not small

Omg I done my shopping tonight, but had to do it online. (Been in hospital) Omg $450. I can't get over how much more expensive my food shop is.

Red peppers ( capicums) $14 a kg. Bread $4 .I could get into the store. But my shop was just nuts!!!

We all know about girl math, but what about frugal girl math?
A girl (me) walked into Myer on Friday with a $30 giftcard. After buying a $109.95 Basque brand shirt, dark chocolate and paper bag, what was my personal out of pocket cost? Your answer should be $1.64. The shirt was $49 on the clearance rack, which I was happy to pay. I got to the cashier and she only charged me $24. As the giftcard was for $30, we cannot waste that remaining $6 so I got the dark chocolate and bag.
