I looked forward to watching this, hoping to be able to see to understand the fishing wire and its threading and knots, but not helpful at all; the book instructions are worse. It is very difficult to see where you are threading the filament, how far and where to tie, what was clipped after the first step---i.e. is the filament kept in one piece throughout its threading(?). The first step was very helpful to know coming up between the 2 arcs and around the gear shown. I "get" the next step going under the plane's belly to thread through the holes in the uprights and around the bar and repeat to come out the other side, but then the video was very hard to follow without any commentary and all the moving around, not being able to see what was being done with the filament and next where it was going. (Otherwise, this was an excellent process, much of which I have already completed, despite a "slow-go" with pressing pieces with the arthritic weak paws, but successful working in short stints to give the fingers a rest. . . )
My parts are laid out to put the satellite together tomorrow, then to start the stand, but still at mostly a total loss with the filament. . . .I LOVE Ugear kits and have done a couple--really enjoyed the Lumberjack with very excellent instructions. I opted not to put one of the elastics in, despite all the gears working, because after all the work, i only wanted a static display and feared someone trying to see the mechanics and letting it run into a wall, breaking it.
Have done multiple other 3D model kits and no problems with instructions, but greatly disappointed with the instructions for the filament (which is a challenge for me to begin with gnarled, RA arthritic paws--hard to feel the filament and very hard for me to see it); then to be compounded with lousy instructions in the manual, I hope I "get" it.
I am assembling to do a review and had hoped this would be a 5-star project, but slowing moving to a 3- or 4-star if the filament assembly goes awry!
Again, your video was quite remarkable until getting to the filament!
