    Haven’t got my Ariya yet but watching your EV channel to get some tips on all things EV. You will probably make my transition from ICE car to EV a lot smoother. Thank you 👍

      Thanks John, that's so kind of you. Delighted you're enjoying the content. I've got a fun Ariya video planned for 2 April, but it needs to stop raining long enough for me to film it...! 😆⛈️☔️

    I have ordered Ariya Evolve+ through my works. Estimated delivery is Late Feb 24. I expect this to move right. I have been watching your videos to learn about the car. I am very impressed with them. Very informative and entertaining. Keep up the good work.

      Thanks Mark. I have a "7 months on" video on the channel and am already recording some more Ariya content that will be on the way soon. The Evolve is a lovely trim, you won't be disappointed! Thanks for watching!

    Mega video as usual Andy. Picked Ariya up last week, and I have to say I’m very very impressed with it. Keep the videos coming pal, they’re a huge help to this EV newbie 👍🏻

      Thanks Tony! You and me are both learning. I'm so impressed with the car. Is it perfect? No, of course not - no car is, but I'm having great fun with mine still after 1,330 miles (and yes, I did just look at the app to see what the odometer reading was). I've got a fun EV video planned for 2 April, but it needs to stop raining long enough for me to film it...!! 😆☔️⛈️

      Thanks Doug. It had a teething problem a couple of versions ago - when you set the remote climate, the alarm would go off! 😆 Luckily they fixed that and I'm finding it very reliable, stable and useful.

    MY Ariya is Copper and Black & is shown on the app in those colours. clever isn't it. Brilliant video again, thank you.

      Ah. Thanks Mike! I wondered if it would be clever enough to do that. I think it's the little things like this that make all the difference. Perhaps that's silly of me, but there you have it. I'm clearly easily pleased! 😂 I love the copper and black colour btw, great choice!! 😁

    3 more weeks before we can pick up our Nissan Ariya. The Nissan Connect app looks ok, but I will definitely be getting an obd interface to get as much info about it as possible.

    I’ve had my 63 kWh Ariya since last Christmas. It’s a wonderful car to drive as you know. I’ve been getting up to 230 miles on a full charge, which I think is good for such a large car with the small battery. The App does show the colour of my car, and has been working well, but at times it didn’t always connect straight away. Well a day ago it’s stopped working and shows my car being seven miles away from my house, even though it’s parked in my driveway! Have you any ideas?
    Your videos are great and very helpful for Ariya owners.

    • @TheRamblyChannel
      @TheRamblyChannel  Год назад +1

      Thanks, Keith. I'm sorry to hear that the app has suddenly gone weird on you! It's normally quick to connect and seems to work well. However, problems can happen. If your phone is otherwise working OK and other apps are successfully recognising your location (e.g. maps), then it suggests an issue in the car itself. To confirm that, on the main app screen (where the picture of the car and the map is) if you pull down and release the app will attempt to fetch the latest data from your Ariya, updating it's location, battery status etc. If that doesn't work then you could try a "hard restart" of your car's system by long pressing the power button on the dashboard until it reboots. That might be worth a try. Let me know how you get on! Thanks for watching and your kind words. I've had COVID lately so the videos have fallen behind however I have some more Ariya stuff on the way soon! 😊

      Thank you for your help and advice about my App disconnecting after working well for four months. I tried a restart but still no luck. I’ve now contacted Nissan Connect Services about it. I will let you know the results when I hear from them.
      Thanks again for contacting me so soon. I’m sure your channel is helping lots of first time EV uses like myself.

  • @mikesmith9559

    Hi again Andy. I forgot to mention this about Nissan Connect and I hope you take this as a constructive criticism. Whilst you are charging your Ariya, you are given the percentage charge and an estimated distance. This FREEZES until you come out of this screen and then go back, when the screen updates. This is a little bit naughty when the recommended charge should no be greater than 80%. Don't know if this is worth mentioning in your next video. Kindest regard.

    • @TheRamblyChannel
      @TheRamblyChannel  Год назад

      Hi Mike. That's a very good point - it doesn't update until, as you say, you go out of the screen and back into it again. If the opportunity arises to mention that in a future video I will do! It could be the subject for a short perhaps? 👍🏻

    Oh, and we tried to use a BP Pulse kerbside charger in the week via their app but we failed to get the charger/app/car talking. We tried an Instavolt using simple contactless payment and that worked just fine.
    Why o why in 2023 are charging companies still using antiquated and totally naff apps? Imagine if you took your fossil car to the filling station and couldn't fuel up because the app didn't work? Ridiculous.
    C'mon industry: raise your game !!!

    • @TheRamblyChannel
      @TheRamblyChannel  Год назад

      That's a very good point you make there. I've heard mixed things about BP Pulse, but have yet to try one of their chargers myself. It does seem to be a bit of a lottery at the moment! 😳

    Hi, new Ariya owner here. Just to say you’ve shown your address in this demo Andy. I’d look to blur that out like you do your reg in other vids.

    • @TheRamblyChannel
      @TheRamblyChannel  Год назад

      Hi Robert. Thanks for the feedback. however it's not my address. My wife was out in the car and it was parked in a public carpark when I filmed this so I decided not to bother blurring the address showin in the app. I appreciate the heads up, though, I could easily have made a mistake! Thanks for watching.

    Our ID.3 uses the "We Connect" app. The image of a VW ID.3 is in the same colour combo as our car.
    I'm underwhelmed by the relatively sparse amount of information and function available.

    Do you use Amazon Alexa and if so could you do a short video on its features and how to use them with the Ariya?

      Thanks for your comment. I don't use Alexa but you're right it is supported in the Ariya. It's a good idea for a video, though. Keep watching as I may very well investigate it further!

    Hi I am using iso ver2.4.8(12), but i cannot find the sharging schedule under Ladt refresh in Battery ? i lived in UK

    • @TheRamblyChannel
      @TheRamblyChannel  11 месяцев назад

      That's the same version as me. I'm on iOS but if you're on Android the app should be the same. Note that some of these features require a subscription - they're free for a while and then you have to pay monthly to maintain access so that might explain why you're not seeing it, perhaps? There's a shopping trolley (top right of the main screen) that will tell you which services you currently have and how much the ones you don't cost to add. I hope that helps.

      Are you logged in to the app and have a subscription to Nissan Connect services?
      If you tap the person icon and look at the app version, what version are you running? On iOS the most recent release is 2.4.7 (4)

    Not true. After 2022 ATT moved on and only a few 2023 cars are equipped to power with siriusxm. These ads should be taken down as most cannot receive any benefits.
