It's a common misconception that when a stock you buy skyrockets, the smart thing to do is sell it (or at least sell some of it) to lock in your profits. But the context matters. If the stock has increased sharply because the business is performing exceptionally well, it could still be a bargain. I'm still looking for companies to make additions to my $350K portfolio, to boost performance. Here for ideas...

I've been utilizing a portfolio coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800,000.

Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2020, and I return at least $30k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

By market he means Index* and not STOCKS. You could’ve put money in Unitech in 2008 and you could be sitting at a 95% loss till date. Or in Yes Bank in 2016-17 and lost 90%. Same with Vodafone. Thought the naive audience needs to know.

Exactly. Nobody speaks of losses. They all show you select trades where they made money. As a former Associate with a top-tier AMC - I am way more choosy than these YT coaches. Real investment strategies are based on either insider info or science. Something most ppl will take a few quarters to figure out - no course is gonna teach you that. If you are a job seeker - do an MBA as it's far more recognised by employers than these MOOCS and YT courses by random ppl. Another person who advertises himself as a seasoned Algo Trader is Mr Aseem Singhal. He puts Deutsche Bank in his experience but he never tells that he was not part of trading team or investment team at DB. He was in ops. He also shows "realised profits" (Absolute amount) in his videos without showing invested amount (principal) or unrealised profits/losses. That's how they hoodwink young kids. Akshat also claimed to be a part of a hedge fund without mentioning his position and tenure (conveniently.)

Jab girne ki baat hone lage tab market nahi girta. There is great flow of money in our Indian stock market. There will be small corrections obviously but India's future looks bright. Companies are doing great and for this market to fall it needs a big trigger. If there's no such trigger maket will keep rising slowly and gradually. Long term investment in equity market is the best option.

Great video. One observation -- not a criticism. Having seen three crashes (1993, 2000, 2007) when the markets fell by 60% over a period of 9 months and then remained sideways for 4-5 years ( between 2000 and 2004 one would have been frustrated, but smart money invested at that time) , lost money , learnt and re invested -- crashes never come when everyone is expecting it. Yes, a correction or a crash may come any time triggered by an "unknown unknown" -- but usually come when there is euphoria -- maximum retail participation, maximum volumes etc-- and not when people are predicting a 90% crashes around the corner. But in general, Indian stock markets over the last 30 years, have beaten every asset class.

@@krishnamahawar319 at some point there will be a crash. All bull markets in all asset classea come to an end at some point. But NOT when everyone is expecting it. In the final stagea of the bubble you might see the NIFTY go up by 50% in 3-6% accompanied by many unknown penny stocks going 4 x in the same period. It is hard to predict when it will happen.

Small and salaried-class traders have been unnecessarily buying Put options in the ATH market, becoming liable for the continued rise in the market, making it very difficult for operators to control the market as they wish. Therefore, it may be time to ban all small traders in F&O.
Regarding the current state of the giant performer BankNifty, it's disheartening to see the last bencher, Bandhan Bank, securing its #1 status ahead of the usual frontrunners in the Gainer list.
If the onslaught on small traders does not cease, the operators' interest may wane, potentially leading to a stock market crash.
