    I had one head of this for 10 $ a few years ago, and another head of frogspawn for same price. They both were happy and then the torch died suddenly in just one week. Don’t know why. Frogspawn survived though and from one head turned into a giant of ~10 that takes a good quarter of my 20 gal tank. I’m surprised torches cost so much these days...

    Thanks for the reply on stocking order in my aquarium. Keep up the vids on the corals and fish. One things needed is the price point of the fish or coral please have links of website you are able to the low prices you mentioned. Most the time i dont see anywhere sell at those prices. Idc if they are even out of stock, just hook us up with the links please thanks

    Can a Gold torch and any other torch be kept together ? any chance of one stinging the other ?

      yeah no matter the color, they can be right beside each other.

    I have a question not about the torch but rather the Duncan coral. Do Duncan’s also spit out a brown string from the mouth when they are getting ready to sprout a new head? Just curious because my Duncan frag has been doing this lately. It’s a long brownish string you can barely see coming from the mouth that detaches after a couple minutes. Is this an indication that it’s about to split? Or is it simply just releasing waste? Btw, I love your all about videos

    Hey what sup dude. Your vids help a lot. Question please. What about all bubble tip and torch tank. Will the anemone kill the torch’s when they move. What ya think bud

    • @BrockLeonard
      @BrockLeonard  5 лет назад

      Somethings fishy In that battle, the torches will actually sting the Anemone with their stinging tentacles. You can definitely do it, you just have to position the torches in the tank correctly so they don’t smack an anemone😂 hope this helps! Thanks for watching.

    Do corals sting fish or people? I have never been stung by one! Always wondered that!

    • @BrockLeonard
      @BrockLeonard  3 года назад

      They can actually sting you and the fish. For us, they would have to hit us somewhere like our forearm because our pores aren't as tight there.

    i disagree about the toch and hammers stinging one another i have my dragon torch and bi color frogspawn next to each other and the flow blows the torch into the hammer at times and its been like this for well over a month and im having no problem i even see people like frag box do it and they have no problem. Mabye its just one of thoes what works for ur tank may not for someone else

    What kind of pellets? He never mentions what kind or brand. I got a New York knicks torch 2 weeks ago and if I can speed up it’s growth that would be great

  • @Semper.Reefing
    @Semper.Reefing 5 лет назад

    My torch looks terrible. It’s tentacles look bumpy and I’ve even seen some tentacle heads float around in my tank. I upped my nutrients with no results. I’ve backed off the flow and tried raising the flow more. Can’t seem to make him happy. Going to try and raise my alk a little more and see if that works

    • @BrockLeonard
      @BrockLeonard  5 лет назад +1

      Have you checked your salinity, ammonia, nitrates, and phosphates? Those being high can be very dangerous to em.

      Brock Leonard yep everything checks out perfect. All my other corals and euphyllia are doing outstanding.

    Hey Brock, a quick question. I have Duncan coral, was just one head a few years ago, now it’s also about 10 (just like my frogspawn, lol) but what’s strange - the trunk didn’t grow that much - it stays very short and all heads grew from the same spot mostly. The tissue is so massive now, that the trunk is almost invisible under it, which i don’t like, because its trunk is beautiful bright green color. I visited local reef store a couple of weeks ago, and their duncans look very different - thin long branches, tiny heads. Why is that? I don’t feed it directly.

    • @BrockLeonard
      @BrockLeonard  5 лет назад

      Artem Klimov Depending on where they are located in the tank can had a lasting effect. I’ve noticed that if they are under higher current, they tend to brand out more but under lower current they grow very close together. But even then, each one can still grow completely different. It’s one of those hit or miss things.

      Joe Gomez i still get them for 8 bucks a head. Just picked up 3 different colours for under 30 bucks. Neon green/goldish, green with whitepink tips(2 heads on one frag) and green with purple tips. Pretty cheap. Im gonna buy more on my birthday coming up lol. They sell colonies but its more expensive. 3 heads are like 40. Its like 10 bucks more for a small colony. There was one colony that was purple with gold centres which i wanna buy if its still available after my birthday lol.
