    Oh my god. This is what I was looking for for my wife. Imma buy these no lie. I wanted to go the cheap way and blacking out the room because she works night shift as an L&D nurse. She wouldn’t let me be a cheap ass but this will be absolutely amazing.

      I had to get double curtains and special blackout underneath. I would much rather have this system. But if you have priced them before. You know how scary the price is.

  • @betaomega04

    If you sold these in America, I would put these on every window in my home. My wife is a night nurse, and for years we've been trying to find a solution that would COMPLETELY blackout the room so she could sleep well during the day. This is far and away the best solution that I have found.
    Please take my money!

    Says you no longer offer blackout blinds, however how good were the blackout blinds at keeping the cold out were they fairly sealed all the way round when shut ?

    • @absoluteplantationshutters8160
      @absoluteplantationshutters8160  4 года назад +1

      Hi Mark, yes unfortunately we no longer offer the blackout blinds. However the shutters themselves are very good at keeping the cold out because they are solid hardwood, and so act as another layer of insulation :)

    • @marklittler784
      @marklittler784 4 года назад +1

      @@absoluteplantationshutters8160 I presume you discontinued black out blinds either because upholding a guarantee on them was too much hassle or they're not in demand?

    • @absoluteplantationshutters8160
      @absoluteplantationshutters8160  4 года назад +1

      @@marklittler784 Yeah unfortunately we had a few too many issues with the built in blinds failing. If people want 100% blackout we would now recommend purchasing a blackout blind separately that can be installed behind the shutters.

      @@theandroids They are all premium quality hardwoods, the main differences are the Chinese product has a longer lead time, a shorter guarantee and doesn't have the UV protected paint. You can find full product information on our website :)

    Without the blackout blind being pulled down, if you don’t have that, do the actual shutters themselves offer enough blackout so your room is quite dark or not really
    I have a strange problem whereby on a windy day my curtains or blinds end up smelling funny so I was hoping just to have shutters but I also need total blackout

    • @absoluteplantationshutters8160
      @absoluteplantationshutters8160  5 лет назад +2

      Hi!
      Without the blackout blind behind the shutters are still very dark, they are not fully blackout without the blind but around 90-95% blackout.
      Hope this helps!

    • @deepconsciousconnections
      @deepconsciousconnections 5 лет назад

      That’s great, very interested. What if you have condensation problem and you get a lot of condensation buildup on windows and frame in autumn and winter months, will the shutters exacerbate the problem or reduce, I’m a little worried
      What if you have condensation problem and you get a lot of condensation buildup on windows and frame in autumn and winter months, will the shutters exacerbate the problem, thanks so much and awesome Demonstration

    • @absoluteplantationshutters8160
      @absoluteplantationshutters8160  5 лет назад +1

      @@deepconsciousconnections The shutters don't really make too much difference to condensation, if anything they will help slightly as they are an extra barrier between the warm air in your house and the cold windows. Our shutters are 100% hardwood, kiln dried and have 6 layers of paint & lacquer so they are protected from any moisture. We also have 100% waterproof PVC shutters for cases where the shutters may be exposed to large amounts of water for long periods of time :)

    • @marklittler784
      @marklittler784 4 года назад

      @@deepconsciousconnections Really best to leave beds unmade hang clothes and quilts up and have windows open for a few hours during the day, dry yourself with a flannel after a shower wringing it out rather than a towel to reduce condensation in the house, dry clothing in a shed or under a car port outside.
