    As Puerto Rican myself, the Spanish accents between, Cuba, Dominican and Puerto Rico are similar but the culture is more similar with the 3 brothers.

    Love these dialects cause im from the south of spain and i find more similar to mine these ones than the rest of the spanish accents except the canarian

      Aca en Puerto Rico imigraron muchisimos Canarios en el siglo 19. Definitivamente nuestro acento se nutre de los acentos canarios y al andaluces.

      @@RapHarajuku in the Uk there’s more people from and I’m classes it is more accessible and more taught that’s why people here learn Spanish from Spain.
      I got lucky mi jeva es Cubana, so I’m learning Cuban Spanish.

      Please consider us carribbean because it's what we are! I'm half Puerto Rican and Dominican and many non Spanish speaking carribbeans be like "oh your not carirbbean" blah blah blah. Like, why? 🤦‍♂️

    el español caribeño proviene de las islas canarias y de Andalucía, esos fueron los españoles que nos colonizaron en su gran mayoría, por eso hablamos así 🤷

      @@marcozambrano1293 y eso los hace ser caribeños??? 😂😂 las islas caribeñas son la representación del caribe están rodeadas por completo del océano caribe... Colombia no, es solo una parte y casi no tienen ni acento caribeño. Solo la costa del norte. Fui a colombia y su gente es muy buena, amable pero no tienen ese ambiente caribeño en todas partes porque no son caribeños por completo y por esa razón muchos de las islas no los vemos como parte del caribe. Son más de Centro America🤷🏻‍♂️

      I have had people ask if I was Colombian because of my accent. But I have not come across any Colombian that sounds like us. But in the Caribbean side of Costa Rica you'd think they were Boricua or Cuban

    el acento caribeño llego a las americas de islas canarias por eso ese acento, pto rico , cuba , venezuela y dominicana,,tambien creo que parte de la costas de colombia. sobre todo a venezuela llegaron mas ,ya que alli formaron un pais completo. soy de tenerife aqui se dice que venezuela es la NOVENA isla canaria. saludos hermanos caribeños

      En República Dominicana también la vaina del guandule o gandule, la vaina de la habichuela, también el encaje del machete se le llama vaina y también la del árbol de framboyan

      ​@@WarrenFearchild Maybe geography isnt your best subject since Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, CR, Colombia, and Venezuela are also all in the carribean. Also, no one really know when the Canarii isleños started to shape the region as they did. Cartagena and Veracruz were as important to Carribean Spanish culture as Havana and Santo Domingo in their hey day. Learn some history.

    The l for r thing is regional. For Cuba you hear that in Havana or the west side. . From Oriente we don't sound like that.

    Yo tambien tengo un amigo Boricua que en ves de decir "carro" dice "cajo". Y cuando hay "rr" en el medio de una palabra no la pronuncia. Es comico y me encanta ese acento particular de Puerto Rico. Me muero de risa cuando escucho a esos que no pronuncian la R. Me gustaria saber de que parte de la isla viene ese acento.

    Nothing about the Cuban accents. Cuba us a very large island and there are many accents. This video is a misrepresentation. Plus, have you considered that there is a Miami accent? You didn’t even include Miami, which is the largest Spanish speaking metropolis in the Caribbean. This was not well thought out or researched.

      @@Hijabiglobetrotter Si Colombia tambien es Caribeño.. Veras es una cuestión Cultural, Por ejemplo en la costa de Ecuador ellos hablan español Caribeño y culturalmente lo son pero no estan en esa region.. pero colombia si si tiene region en el Caribe porsupuesto

    La tipa Dominicana parece que nunca ha pisado tierra Dominicana, le hace falta mucha informacion, lo primero es que aquí NADIE dice "janguear" se dice "irte de bonche" "teteo" "Un Can" etc. al dinero le decimos "Cualto" o "Chele" los del sur hablan con la "R" y los capitaleños con la "L" y los del norte (Cibao) con la "I" a la gente fresa le decimos "popi" y antes se le referían como "jevitos" después todo lo demás esta bien

      Si decimos janguear. Los campesinos no saben eso porque es algo de "Popis"... Osea de la capital. Lo de Teteo es algo reciente. Ni siquiera se pode tomar en cuenta.

    Cubans do not replace the R for L, that's the other two Caribbean countries. We Cubans like the R, especially how it sounds in "Come mieRda" and "Para de comeR tanta mieRda!"

      Some Cubans don't even pronounce their r's...or l's...😅
      They say...pueta or pueco instead of puerta o puerco....aslo Oga instead of Olga.. (not all but most especially the ones from La Habana)

      Study Spanish etymology a little. I grew up hearing misinformation from people saying stuff like “La guagua” is a Taino word, but in actuality if you look into the Spanish of Las Islas Canárias - They say it too. They have a lot of words and a flow when they speak which differs a lot compared to mainland Spain. Also huge influence from Andalusian Spanish dialect too. So, naturally, PR and DR shares so many things.

    Caribbean island most is no different ,they all have same acent,same tone,same food,same life style & acent its all the same not much difference ...in mexico yes ,because mexico not all mexicans have same accent ,nor uses same expressions words,nor same food ,nor traditions and you can go any state in mexico and will be different ,from descedants ,festures, & races because mexico in every area had different european settle in ,some areas are known were frensh settle ,some spanords,some italians now some still full blood white ,and some mix so not all mexican hold the sterio tipico “ mestizo mix” some not even mestizos because they have more of the italian,or frensh ,some still blore native blood or full blood which those to communitys are native descedants ...and you can tell a mexican what part of mexico are day by side as ,southern mex,central mex,northern mex or a USA descesant mexicans. Aka chicanos.you can tell by their acent ,food,word they use ,phisical.The cultures in mexico change depending what part of mexico you from mexico have snow areas,desert areas,forest,jungle & caribe too and its just magical its a new world really. A caribbean they all same really you wont know if they PUERTORICAN,DOMINACAN .ots really same ..i come from family that been one of the first mexicans who tuck the change to go to the islands for buisness since puertorico aproval the desl of citenzenship anf allowed marketing in for food and products to go in the island so my family opend business in RD & PR and we have been all over the caribbeans islands ,and now we hold turist buisness and propertys we rent out there ,we go to the island one time of year or every 3 years for business and they have not. Differencens in the islands is most same .

      There are many differences in the islands. Different customs, languages, foods, traditions. There’s nothing wrong with that they’re all beautiful in their own way.
