I think cleaning the engine like that is a very very bad idea…you will trap water in unappropriate places and just think about any harnesses where the sleeving may be a bit damaged…pretty sure this will show some effects after a certain amount of time

On mine that sound deadening under bonnet just disintegrated once soaked . The weight just tore it away
