Angus Scrimm as the tall man in the Phantasm movies had to be one of the scariest characters in the most terrifyingly strange story lines that set them far apart from most horror films of any decade. They were not what you would call the "schlock" movies, they were somehow based in a sort of dream sequence that although surreal, were surprisingly well written and seemed to pull you into the story. Just when you thought you had figured out what was happening, they dropped your heart over the edge of the cliff and you could not look away, no matter how scared you were. The Phantasm movies were in a class all their own and Angus, as the tall man had a presence that you could never forget. Awesome video as usual, Grimmlifers RULE! Boyyyyyyyyyyy, you think you go to heaven when you die,....You come to ME. Rest in peace Angus, thanks for the paralyzing fear.

my god ive been a Phan since child hood fun fact @Grimmlifecollective the first phantasm traumatized me of the back of door for a long time. once when i was a kid i came home and turned on the tv and the very end scene where mike closes the door was on i had no idea what the movie was but as scared as i was i loved it too. i had never felt that kind of terror and it was thrilling. P.S. Prayers to Reggie Banister (Ice Cream Man) Whos battling a severe form of alzheimer's disease that attacks his central nervous system and cause body tremors.

Angus was truly a Genuinely nice guy, but being a little older I had the privilege of seeing Phantasm on opening day.. That being the Summer of 79 it sent chills down my spine (scared the Shit out of me to be honest) and I can say there were issues sleeping for a few days after. Truly underrated as a Horror Film, great info on the Tree..

Super fun you guys! I was one of the Special FX artists who created all the deadly flying spheres in Phantasm 2! It was the first movie I ever worked on and I was only 15 at the time, it was so crazy! If you’re interested I’m going to be posting a video soon on my RUclips channel showing my behind the scenes memorabilia, photos, and stories! I’ve already posted videos of FX work I did on Men In Black and Broken Arrow, and there’s plenty more movies to come if you are interested in “making of” footage of my FX work! Well keep up the good work you guys, love the channel! Cheers🎃💀😜👍😍

I love the entire Phantasm franchise and Angus Scrimm was perfect in that part. I grew up in Calabasas going to the original Renaissance fair really close to the hanging tree just off of Los Virgenes Canyon road. The frontage road near the tree was used in Its a Mad Mad World. Keep up the great video’s, so much fun to watch.

I actually saw Phantasm II in the theatre with my high school buddies. So much fun! We were all into horror so it was definitely a good time. Can still hear my Brother saying “BOOOOY” in the seat behind me. 😂 He did a really great impression as well. He took me to see my first horror flick when I was 9 years old and have been hooked ever since!!!
