How he controlled his emotions in the song without JJ, ask Shahi i could feel that in song :(, VS songs are not easy to perform live he did 99% justice to be honest! Priceless Tribute with breaking records like 1. Performing this song live (never performed before) 2. Shahi Hassan singing for the first time for VS fans 3. VS real band member giving tribute to JJ for the first time (many other singers gave but not VS member), which fans were waiting for, Rohail Hyat must give this kind of surprise too :)
I am just happy to be one of the luckiest person to see Vital Signs live in concerts multiple times in US in mid 90's when they ruled the world along with Junoon.
I must admit that after Junaid Jamshed, I never listened to a voice this soothing and this soulful. The nostalgia was literally oozing from every single line he sang. You are an out of the world vocalist, Shahi. No wonder. Please produce some more good music
I remember the early 90s, when these groups were just coming out. Dil Dil Pakistan was literally a national anthem for us Pakistanis. Such beautiful memories despite all the turmoil of the 90s.
@Zaid Khan Its so sad considering our industry is finally making a comeback and and instead of supporting our artists many of us are still listening to Randian Music
Simply crystalline and suave. The proof of an immense artistic maturity and a great mastery for a title that cannot be an end, because Junaid Jamshed exists through his work with the Vital Signs. Thank you to Shahi Hasan for this tribute and this moment of grace.
I have never given this song that importance all my life but Shahi you have made it gold. So many memories that brings tears and nostalgia all over. This is in the true sense what we call tribute.
heavy floyd'ish influence in this track and that guitar sounds very gilmour'ish the riff played by asad ahmed is exceptional. VS were way ahead of that 90's era music, the people in general at that time were not ready for this type of quality music which was produced in this album.
Vital signs. A great Rawalpindi boys band. Shahi HASSAN, Rizwan ul Haq, Junaid and Rohail Hyatt. Feels Nostalgic. Hope some day.. With exception of Junaid they meet up and perform a tour across Pakistan. Feel that Pepsi can do this
Hassaan Ahmed71: Used to live on Harley Street, Pindi Cantt along with Rohail Hyat. Before Vital Signs they used to jam as "Nuts 'n Bolts" - later both of them moved and settled in Karachi. Their old band member Nusrat still lives in Pindi and Rizwan ul Haq islamabad.
What a song that was. Still fresh sounding. Miss you Junaid bhai....a lot! The feel of original was there and Shahi bhai sung well but that mojo was only in Junaid's voice who must be singing naats in front of the 'Beloved' of all.
That ‘This is for you Junaid’ is perhaps the greatest tribute I have ever seen anyone give anyone. Fitting that it was given by a Vital Signs member to JJ the great.
Vital Signs is the benchmark band and will be. Shahi bhai you were just great.. and I know it would be really hard for you to sing this because no one knows what went through your mind during this performance. And when you said "This is for you Junaid" that spoke volumes. Junaid bhai (Shaheed) was so much missed. Rohail bhai is dearly missed here ...I wish he could be part of this performance and that would have added much more to this!!!
I thought I was the only one who felt the depth and connection to this song, The the nostalgia from the past brought tears in my eyes especially because of JJ. I still remember the first day of this album relesed, I ran to the store to get this album impatiently, Me and my sister was the crazy fan of Vital Sings. Awesome performanece Shahi jee It's a wonderful surprise, we never knew that u can sing really good. The versatility of vital signs can't be replaced by anyone. Love you guys and thanks to Pepsi.
Esha Khan So true. 100% of what you said is so true even in my case. I literally cried when I listened this... it took me 20 years back... I guess all die hard fans of VS who grew up in 90s shares the same feelings... Respect.
Lovely to see Shahi and with Asad Ahmed it was wonderful experiencing "Namumkin". Great guitars by A Ahmed. Wish Rohail Hyat would have joined. Pepsi - Please bring back Rohail and try (plead) if he and Shahi can gift us anyone of their Vital Signs songs. That would be a dream come true. Come on Pepsi - it is hard but you can do it.
The lachrymose essence and fraternal vibe of the Vital Signs was so prominent in the depth of Shahi Hasan's voice. A Shakespearean tragedy, heart breaking, laudable... one in a million... adore the Vital Signs forever. Shahi Hasan's cathartic live performance of Namumkin was the song that won the most hearts and minds last season.
Brought tears to my eyes :( 'Namumkin' with 'Mein Chup raha' were such an underrated song. Infact the whole album "Hum Tum" was way ahead of its time. Junaid Jamshed will always be missed. Hats of to Shahi for trying his level best to fulfill the void left by JJ. I wish someday Rohail will come onboard as well and these guys will create some more magic.....

Shahi you just gave me some serious haunting flashbacks of my childhood and Junaid. I can't even control the bawling of my eyes. Thought I'd never be able to listen to VS anymore after the passing of JJ.
I never knew Shahi sang so well. So many of the younger people will never know what and who these guys were , the truly quality of the music they created in those times when it was next to impossible for a Pakistani band to succeed as musicians when these guys did.Anyone who creates or generally likes music will know that Vital signs were top quality musicians.

Nothing lasts forever and people leave us. But thank you for the memories, Vital Signs. The moment Shahi says this is for you Junaid, I tear up. Rest in Peace, dear Junaid ❤️
Vital Sings band, best band in Pakistan so far - we grew up listening this type of music in 90s, which was unique and so lovely songs. Real Vital Signs music and sound = (Rohail + Shahi + Junaid). Somehow Junaid's solo songs never had that touch and feeling which VS songs have. Junaid voice was perfect fit for VS type music. Well done Shahi, you did amazing good job in this song and remind me lot of past memories. Great Performance and you surprised us (your age group) for sure who are in 40s now :-) ..... Miss you JJ.
Nice Attempt by Shahi to pay tribute to the late JJ knowing that he is not a vocalist but the main attention getter in this performance was the melodic playing of another living legend Asad Ahmad . Na Mumkin is my favorite track from Vital Signs because the quality of guitar playing is similar to David Gilmour also Junaid sang the song beautifully in the originals.
Iam falling in 90s Sir Shahi hasan you are true legend to dedicated my favrt star Junaid Jamshed (late), and stand up performance by Drumer, he is totally supported to Guitarist Sir Asad Ahmed 👏
(This is for you Junaid 😭 😭 😭) missing you alot Junaid bhai. Eyes are full of tears can't stop listening to this golden track it still feels fresh after 22 years.. @Aamir Khan thanks for the info bro! I really didn't know who was playing the guitar behind in the original song. Yes RIP Amir Zaki and Junaid Jamshed bhai.
I wish I was born 15 -20 years early so I could've attended a vital signs concert. It's sad that very few people today appreciate the sweet brilliance of songs like these. This song was way ahead of its time.
I remember seeing them live for the first time in Karachi at a performance at Arts Council in the early 90s. All four members of Vital Signs were there. They looked so dashing and fearless. They created a social and cultural revolution for the millennial generation of Pakistan. We loved them more than anything. They inspired us to be our best. It was great hearing you finally Shahi. You have a great voice and depth to it. Thank you for this gift. We love you for it!!

RIP Junaid, no one will stay forever but good work stays.

I wish I was born 15 -20 years early so I could've attended a vital signs concert. It's sad that very few people today appreciate the sweet brilliance of songs like these. This song was way ahead of its time.
Trust me. I attended one in Isd in 1992,was pretty ordinary

R.I.P Junaid bro. One of the most decent person. I am lucky met him twice. To one of my most favourite personality.
Great song. Great performance.
