However, Sarah was born in South England and spent most of her childhood there. Then as a teen moved up north to Manchester. Hence her accent often fluctuated between Mancunian and RP south English.

@@StoutProperI liked Sarah, but she definitely didn’t do much to quash the ‘dumb blonde’ persona she had. She wasn’t the smartest of the group and wasn’t the best singer either, she was just known for being a party girl.
I hate to speak ill of the dead but it makes me sick how many people who used to absolutely trash Sarah when she was alive, now wax lyrically like she was the best thing since sliced bread.

I never in a million years thought that one day I’d be lighting a candle for Sarah and say a little prayer! It was still such shock! I was in complete denial that the worst would happen! The thought of it was too much to bear. 💔💔💔💔 Very thankful for her much too short life. She made millions happy with her personality and talent. I have so many great memories of the Band! It’s a tragedy! RIP
I’m so happy for Nicola. She was always in the background and didn’t really get the main vocals in many songs and was really shy and quiet. She got the justice that she needed by winning the masked singer!! X

Cheryl Made sure she wasn’t. Went solo similar time, had Simon and xfactor to carry her and publicly blamed Nadine for the split which made quite a few girls aloud fans ignore Nadine’s solo stuff. Disappointing really but it’s why I struggle to warm to Cheryl despite being a huge GA fan
What I don't get is when people write comments saying they hate girls aloud but they are still watching it

Saw them last night in Glasgow. Joyous gig watching them at the top of their game, looking great and having fun. Fitting tribute to Sarah too made it all the more poignant & memorable. This is still my favourite song of all. At 61 I was probably the oldest straight guy and dad there 😄 but both me and my 27 yr went back in time like it was yesterday - she (we) grew up to their soundtrack.
