  • This little kit brings a whole new meaning to detail in 1/72 scale. It is right up there with Tamiya in mold quality and crispness of detail but I cannot comment as to fit. It is also a bit pricier than say an Airfix kit coming in around $17-20 U.S. so it is definitely in the same price range as a Tamiya or even Eduard.

    It has more detail than the airfix bf109. I wanted a perfect bf109 g in 1/72 but with ssome actual detail not just a seat. Thankyou for making this video l.

    This kit series has some shape issues on engine area when it comes to the basic Gustav fuselage. Fine Molds has it correctly executed, but it's way more expensive. On the other hand, these two big sprues give you an oportunity to build any Gustav with standard DB-605A engine. Also there will be many spare parts with great accuracy on them, so you can upgrade your other kits. I did it with one Revell Bf-109G-10 (WNF/Diana GmBH) I built so far and I am planning to upgrade more of them. The kit got a new life I must say with replaced propeller, supercharger intake, horizontal stabilisers, wheels, wing bulges, tail wheel, gun cover, fin and rudder.

    Great kit review, Andy, looks like a superb model kit regardless of scale, but very impressive for a 72nd scale aircraft...they really did their homework and if they keep pumping'em out like this one, they will shake the model making industry up a bit...

    Nice review. I'm working on an academy 1/72 bf109 g6 while it doesn't have this amount of detail it has a good bit of it. I'm hoping this is a trend starting with high quality 1/72 kits.

    "puzzle style swastikas" lmao that's hillarious. Rather than bow to censorship az model decided to turn this particular decal into fun for the whole family.

    You guys pay 21.56aud (20usd) and say it "isnt a cheap kit" aaaw crap man you need to see how much Aussies pay for standard Revell and Airfix stuff you would be crying.

    • @devildriverrule111
      @devildriverrule111 10 лет назад

      I should note that's actually why I buy stuff online, cos this kit is $22.66 online plus 6.60 postage (just checked online) but in an actual model store you'd be talking 40-50 bucks.

      I meant that it wasn't cheap for a 1/72 scale kit. This is of course relative because what is cheap for some people may not be for others. A $17 dollar kit is certainly not expensive in my opinion but it may be for someone else. I am not sure why but even with differences in currency exchange we typically pay less for consumer goods than other place in the world.

      I checked in store today for that exact model kit (you sold me on it so i wanted it) and its 43aud which is 39.75usd... So i ended up coming home and buying it online for 20aud. I live in Perth, I guess they don't call it the most secluded city on earth for nothing.

      That really sucks but at least you found it for less online. I have a similar problem here with greedy local sellers.

    • @devildriverrule111
      @devildriverrule111 10 лет назад

      They wonder why they are losing sales to online shops. I still buy paints from the local bloke, you cant beat his prices on humbrol and tamiya enamels.
      Anyway, keep up the good videos man, you are literally the reason i brought this kit.
