- Laine Hardy is the winner of Season 17 of American Ido. Laine performed his new single, the Ester Dean-penned "Flame" on the “American Idol” finale and the song reached #1 on the iTunes Rock Chart and #2 overall. He is working on his debut album, “All aboard the Laine Train!”

I love how naturally Laine just sings the song no matter what genre. He is a very special young man who I hope the "business" doesn't destroy.

I thought the interviewer was excellent as well! I have never listened to this show before... But I like how the interviewer asked questions and listened to Layne's responses and kept the interview flowing! Well done. It is too bad that the coronavirus pandemic as put the brakes on Wayne's career and release of his album.

Yes, Laine's "country boy skyrocketing to fame" story is very similar to the life of Elvis. But, although it would be a tremendous honor for him, I hope and pray that Laine never portrays Elvis in a movie. WHY? Because we should all be thinking about who, decades from now, is going to eventually play Laine Hardy in a movie?? (Unless they one day create another movie about Laine, and how he portrayed Elvis, with someone else portraying Laine... You get what we are saying.)
