Wow, the Oregon Grape Holly looks so beautiful! Patrick, you have so many wonderful herbs and things on your property that you can really make some great products with. Thanks for sharing so many amazing products that you make.
Hi there my friend, good to see you, I need to catch up on my own video watching, with work, the farm and making products, I have not had as much time to watch videos sadly, but I will do my best over the weekend.
I've never heard of the oregon grape holly before. A very interesting plant that is for sure. What a great product. I'm sure it will be a big help for a lot of people out there.
I have 2 Holly bushes. Will have to check my cards to see which kind they are. Fascinating info on Grape Holly. Definitely something interesting to read up on. You really do have some very interesting plants and love to hear you talk about them. Wonderful stuff! Thank You so very much 👍
Hi Cheryl, good to see you, thanks so much, there are so many great plants in the world, I could never get bored with them, thanks for your support, big hugs
Hi Pat. Another very interesting video and birdsong as well. I was always taught that mahonia berries were poisonous to eat but father had them for the berries to feed the birds. Who would have thought they were so beneficial. Hugs to you and tickles to the critters. X x x
I am sure it was just to stop us from eating every berry we could find. To this day I can't look berries in the eye. We are OK, going crazy and having problems with travel company . Pity I can't get out and send you an easter Egg but thinking about you too. So good to see Barry looking so well. X x x
interesting plant and uses Patrick and so beautiful with those colors. I need to try some, I have exema or psoriasis on my scalp and boy does it itch. I'm thinking maybe the salve would be helpful. you have so much on your farm to make so many nice and helpful things for people. thanks for sharing. have a beautiful week my friend, big hugs to you and stay safe and healthy. :D
Hi Sabrina, I would think the tincture would be better for scalp, since not oil, but the alcohol might be a little drying, but I could add a bit of glycerin to help with that. Big hugs and all my best
Hi Patrick! I really enjoy seeing your farm and hearing all these beautiful sounds!! Never seen these grapes before, but I'm sure that everything you make is exquisite🤩
Layal, good to see you, thanks so much, you have a plant there that I am jealous of, Papaver umbonatum A gorgeous Poppy, in fact you have many plants that ONLY grow there, very cool

In spring, all the fields and meadows are covered with. Last Sunday, my mother and father went to the mountains and l asked them to pick me some. I'm drying them in my balcony right now🙂 Take care.
Love, LOVE, this video!!💖 I've always enjoyed natural healing and what you do absolutely delights me!! Thank you. I have a question for you. When making soap with fresh processed Aloe when do I incorporate it?
I recently cut back some of my Oregon grape, a few weeks ago. Would it be possible to use these older wood cuts and still get an efficacious tincture/salve? Thank you!

I'm not sure exactly, it could be the time of year that you're cutting them or the age of the wood that you're cutting that determine that although all wood does turn brown as it dries in ages.
Yes, I do sometimes have some pronunciation issues, it's from a childhood issue that I spent years recovering from. Most of the time I do okay but every now and then my brain and tongue don't connect very well

Hi Teresa, you can mix with lye water (or replace completely) or you can do a water discount, then add the aloe at emulsification, it's very versatile
@@SoapyOaksFarm Wow! Thank you for answering my question. You are a great teacher!💖
Does the liquid goes in the salve too ? I like that barrel
Awesome information!!!
Thanks for watching!
