I like the split headlights. Love how sharp the DRL looks, but in my opinion it doesn’t fit together with the dimmed out and less sharp (round looking) lights under it.
the split headlights here have grown on me exponentially (as have most of bmw's other risky design choices as of late tbh) I actually quite like how sharp and modelled the DRLs are compared to how utilitarian the headlights are with their rectangular housing and round bulbs. these LCI x7's have been a head-turner for me
We could consider the split headlights a modern interpretation of the headlight design of the M1 and E31. New reglementations forbid car makers from developing pop up headlights so these DRLs are the best compromise. Probably the E31 and M1 recieved similar backlash regarding the front design. Now everyone considers them beautiful.
you just need to make another review when you test drive the m60i when the rpm are unlocked and all HP are free. waiting for mines to unlock also can't wait!
theirs 2 short lines for the DRL's with similar shape to the bmw ix DRL's, unlike the jeep which has one long line for DRL's. plus if you noticed in the 2018 Jeep Cherokee the headlight is with the DRL's and the fog lights are on the bottom, while with the x7,xm,7,i7 it has separate headlight housing below the DRL's as the DRL's have their own housing above the main headlights, Audi is also following suit aswell. (also the DRL's and headlight design looks nothing alike and the i7 comes with crystal DRL's as an option)
@@delkor007 their trying to separate their high end luxury models like the 7 series x7 and xm from the rest of its line up, plus bmw isn't alone, Audi is also doing this with certain models in its line up and so is Hyundai and kia. To be honest Toyota has had those designs way before jeep had them. (take a look at the toyota vellfire from 2015) so don't just assume bmw is doing this for the sake to make it ugly and stupid. learn the real reason through research other than your own opinion. like how people assumed bmw stole the rear lights of a lexus for the g20 3 series when in reality lexus has stolen the design from bmw and used it in their models aswell as their current models. so what your saying is here is a similar situation with lexus. that lexus has pretty much ran out of ideas in their design team.

I honestly think it looks really pretty, but I think it would be nicer if the headlight graphics on the top carried onto the bottom part.
MAN!! YOU ROCK!!!! GREETINGS FROM BRAZIL 🙋🏻♂

The split headlight/DRLs are absolutely beautiful!
I like the split headlights on the 7 series/i7, but not here. The pre-facelift x7’s front end looks much better
I bought mine in particular over the X5 because of the more aggressive/ interesting front end.

Luxurious powerful machine
One of the only new bmws i actually really like the look of
I don't care what other people say. But I like the design very much
The front end looks crazy....
Crazy bad
Yeah! The only way the front actually looks somewhat decent is like this, all blacked out. The ugliness gets hidden.
Really.....
Looks like ass
Sorry but it's beautiful to me and the future.... In 2 years everyone will copy it
Great video
I’m just glad they made it affordable.
its like 100k
When you shrink the light, it becomes a rolles royce
I'll leave the perimeter of the grill as the day lights (not sure if that would comply with the rules) and try to clean that busy front end
Could you devote as much time to the driving experience for us as you did the review of the vehicle itself?
The headlights are growing on me! It helps that it has great body proportions
This car needs an exterior detail stat
I dont care for the split light squinting trend or the make everything black trend.

Why is BMW copying drl an headlight design from 2018 Jeep Cherokee??? Its ugly and stupid design!
Can’t unsee it now bahahhaahahha

Bought mine specifically because of the bold front, to each their own. Given how long I waited for the build, I'm not alone.
If you take out the grille, I honestly can't even tell who made this car, it's so wacky.
🤮
Man they really screwed it up with those headlights. I’ll buy the X5. You can keep this. You couldn’t pay me to drive it.
“OMG I LOVE YOUR HEADLIGHTS” 🤫Those are the ugliest Fing headlights I’ve ever seen. 😂
